Absolutely beautiful sunrises and views of the bay! We loved catching bluecrabs off the dock, they were delicious and there's a big steam pot in the kitchen for cooking them. Very quiet and private especially if the house next door is vacant.

The house worked well for our family of five (2 adults, three children). It is well laid out and we loved sitting out on the deck watching the geese at the water. It is quiet but not secluded, and the neighboring houses did not bother us at all.

Another great stay - beautiful home, great amenities, nice large kitchen with everything you need to make meals, and a fishing dock! Daisy's home is perfect for a get away.

Sycamore Bend is an incredibly special place; it's a lovely and unique historic home sitting right on a salt water tributary. It's quiet, private and serene - you feel as if you stepped back in time. The house is charming and comfortable with spacious bedrooms and spaces to gather.

My family and I (11 of us) had a wonderful stay at Greg’s home. Kids and grandkids were coming in to town from 2 different states for Thanksgiving, and we needed a place where we could be together comfortably and in one place, and Greg’s home was perfect for us! There was so much room for us to stretch out and just relax, enjoying each other and the holiday. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative, so we did not get to enjoy the outdoor areas, but the water views were amazing! Greg was a great host, offering info and answering questions, and always responded quickly. He let me know that he was available at any time, and allowed us an early check-in and late check-out, which was appreciated! We would definitely stay there again should the need arise. Thank you Greg, for offering your lovely home to us! 😊

To celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, my bride and I stayed at Pretty Byrd cottage for a long weekend - we were just looking to relax and soak in the peace and quiet. We got exactly what we were hoping for - the cottage is very private on its own little island and our only neighbors were all the wonderful birds! The inside of the cottage was wonderfully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't want to leave and the whole trip home we talked about when's the next time we should come back.

The house was wonderful -- clean, simply furnished, a more-than-adequate kitchen and bathroom. Beds extremely comfortable. The pictures suggest the back yard is on the water....there is actually a house behind Janet's house. BUT, there is an easy-to-access dock that was just wonderful. The single negative? The bugs!! Not anything controllable by others, of course, but did discourage us from the walking of the island we hoped to do. The end of the dock was our refuge -- and the view was just wonderful. Birds plentiful. The people of Smith Island were welcoming, gracious, patient. No exceptions. I am grateful they offer such hospitality.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Beautiful setting, everything in the place is lovely and well cared for. Would stay here again without hesitation, Your own little piece of heaven, with Wal Mart and McDonalds 10 minutes away. Excellent value.

This was our 2nd stay on the island , but first time at Mary Kim's. Great hospitality including home cooked egg rolls that made the long journey even more worth it. The only downfall would be the dock and kayak spot is a couple doors down, but Mary Kim was very communicative. lastly, I highly recommend the golf cart service on the island, gives you more of an ability to explore the island.
