Holiday rentals with a kayak in Adair Township

I stayed here with a group of 16 guys, all in our mid-20s, and we had an incredible time. The house was absolutely perfect. Everyone had their own place to sleep and their own bathrooms which made it super comfortable. It's located down a quiet backroad with very friendly neighbors, which gave us a peaceful and private setting. There’s so much to do for a big group: relaxing on the dock by the fire while watching TV, grilling on the porch, or hanging out in the garage playing ping pong, darts, and basketball. We also played a round at Osage National, an Arnold Palmer designed course, about 20 minutes away and easily the best I’ve ever played. Another highlight was a boat cruise on the lake with Playing Hooky, which was a blast. While the local bar scene was great, we honestly spent most of our time enjoying everything the house had to offer. I highly recommend this place for large groups there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The host was also extremely responsive and helpful.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home and would absolutely rent it again! The kitchen/living room has incredible views (especially at sunset!) and was super comfortable to plop down on the couch and relax after a long day outside. The kitchen island is awesome and the kitchen has everything you need. The beds are comfy and the bedrooms super cozy! We spent most of our time on the dock as we love to fish! Caught something like 40 fish (mostly catfish since that is what we were fishing for) and just had the best, most relaxing time. Our teenagers loved the provided lily pad and it was very easy to park our boat rental to the side of the dock. We enjoyed watching the boats float in and out to Captain Ron’s and waving hello to all the friendly people. Jen was super responsive and gracious. We hope to return someday!

We had a wonderfully peaceful time here. The lake was quiet and the lap lap sounds in the night were meditative. The mist on the lake most mornings made for some excellent photography. And best of all, Josh and Alycia's home feels like home, and we really appreciate that feeling. The cottage has everything we needed and so many thoughtful touches. The fenced back yard was perfect for Rory, who decided that he is a "lake dog" and lay down on the dock with his head hanging over every chance he got. We hope to visit again often.

Beautiful view! The place was as described & matched the photos. We had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed swimming in the lake. The dock is very nice. There’s a ladder to climb in & out of the water. The house is in a quiet area. It is on a hill. There are some stairs, but they are wide & easy to walk on. The closest store is about 20 min. away. There’s a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, etc. The mother-in-law suite is entered by using its own door & the hot tub is just outside the door. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the bunk house. Coconuts Resort is about a 3 min. boat ride, or 20 min. car ride. Jacob’s Cave is about a 20 min. car ride. The host is friendly & offered suggestions. We had a very fun & memorable stay!

My family thought the place was “perfect” and is already hoping to go back!

The house worked perfect for our family. It was spacious and all the games were an added bonus. We had a great time!

Everything was great! The kitchen was completely stocked. We cooked most of our meals there. And even baked some breakfast casserole while we were there. The kitchen has spices, condiments, and so much more. Host provides water purification pitcher. The house is in a good location. Dollar general less than a few minutes away. 30 minute drive to all touristy areas. Has an amazing private dock in a private cove right off the main channel. There was plenty of room for all of us. For some a window ac unit can be annoying but I love having control over the temperature in each room. The bathrooms were nice and clean. And the host has graciously provided extra toiletries, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, etc. Very comfy beds and pillows. The sunroom was beautiful. So many stocked games indoor and outdoor. Host was very helpful and friendly. Very close to the cave bar. Would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect for our family and friends. Just what we needed! Nick answered all my questions in a timely fashion. I locked my phone in the house and he helped me quickly to get it out. Great place for kids to paddle around with no danger. Loved being in the little cove! House and host is amazing. Thank you!

Melanie was a super host in our books. Her home is open and inviting, full of all of the perfect details that make you feel at home. She has plenty of supplies for cleaning, cooking and prepping meals. Her master bed is super comfortable.

We had a great time here! The views from the house were beautiful. Joe and Laura were very friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns we had before and during the trip. The only thing negative I had was with the dock. The rubber bumber strip in the slip was falling off. We had to be very cautious to make sure our boat didn’t get damaged. There were also several screws sticking up and some rotted boards. This was not a deal breaker, but the dock needs some attention.

Katie and Ben were great hosts and their lake house was perfect! Super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The views of Lake of the Ozarks were stunning, and the location was peaceful and had beautiful sunset views. We had an amazing stay and would definitely come back!

Great place for a getaway! Everything was clean and exactly as described! My husband and I enjoyed kayaking during the day and hot tubbing in the evening! Felt private but still close enough to some great restaurants!

I can't say enough about Adam's hospitality, and his beautiful space. It felt private, was so cozy and we spent alot of time on the private boat dock! He gave great recommendations, and the timing lined up to even go out with him on a sunset cruise. We are already talking about another trip and staying again! Thank you!

Great little lake cabin for the boy & I to stay at over the weekend fishing in a crappie tournament. Jennifer is super helpful & responsive making sure we had the best stay possible. We loved having the dock right out the back door & we could just jump in the boat & go in the mornings. Driveway parking our 19' boat trailer was tight but doable & we put our boat in at the ramp just about 100 yards down the road. The ramp is tight & has some curves but no problem for an experienced backer upper!!! Thanks for everything

Super cute 3 story cabin designed for a group meet up or multi-family stay . Lots to do in the Ozarks (you will need a car that can do winding roads & hilly terrain) or you can stay secluded tucked away in this corner cabin with many games & water activities to keep you entertained. Kitchen is outfitted with more than you need ... Full side fridge & stove, grill, air fryer, ice maker, 4 diff ways to brew your morning coffee (American, French, Italian & Turkish), microwave & more . Best of all the kiddos (of all ages) had a blast ! We had 3 generations ranging from 5 to 75 & there was something for everyone ... Even our fur babies 🐕 From a raging celebration 🍻 🥳 (with respect for the house, of course) to a low-key getaway, if you have 6 to 12 people this cabin is for you !? Plenty of amenities included to access the water... From a boat launch to the 2 floating docks with picnic table, lily pad, pedal boat, kayaks & paddle boards for all (6 or 8 people 🤔)

Don's lake house is great. Dock has been well maintained & is more private than surrounding areas We were able to fish off the dock & caught bass, catfish & bluegill. Deck is spacious, overlooks lake & provides privacy. House is truly pet friendly with enclosed area for dogs out front Interior is clean & updated. Would recommend Don's place for lake vacation

Tracey was a great host! This cabin was very well stocked up with all the necessities and much much more! The dock with Lilly pad and kayak and paddle board was amazing to have! We got so much swimming done right off the dock! Location is perfect, no wake zone is peaceful and so many restaurants you can boat are near by. Also few gas stations and grocery store just up the street. We will definitely be back next summer!
