A tent sauna with a wood-burning stove that has a pleasant apple-scented aroma. Built in the late Edo period, when the Shogunate was reigning, this house was used as a silk mill in the 19th century. One of the nearby hot springs is Kusatsu which is one of the most famous in Japan, where the Shogun came to rest, and became a model for the ghibli film “Spirited Away”.
