Villa holiday rentals in Ahangama

Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Ahangama. The property has so much space, clean, light and the beds are super comfy. The outside chill area is even better than it looks in the pictures and the pool and outside shower are great. The staff couldn't do more to help and sorted our group out with scooters for Ahangama and we were able to keep them and take them for our onward stay in Weligama and staff offered to collect them for us there, saving us so much time. I wished I could of stayed longer, thanks again

Beautiful villa located in Ahangama a real gem! I stayed here with my friend and had a bedroom each both with ensuite which was a treat. The decor was so tasteful and you can tell real care and thought had been taken in making the home so lovely. The pool was temperature controlled, clean and the outside area was spacious and perfect for hosting. We hosted dinner one evening with our friends and it was a night to remember. Being a novice cook the kitchen had everything I needed. We even sure endangered purple faced langurs on our first night and there were very cute tree frogs at night. I would recommend this place to anyone and definitely one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever! Hope to visit again! 😊

Yvan is an amazing host! He was there for both check-in and check-out, offering great recommendations on where to eat, surf, and party. We even went surfing together. After I checked out, I realized I had forgotten my charger, and he kindly brought it back to me.

A fabulous stay along the coast and a highlight of our 3 weeks in the country. The place is an easy tuk tuk or moped into town. Very responsive host - easy to communicate with and nothing was a problem. The pool an added bonus for our kids who enjoyed that and the monkeys that were often nearby. Loved the daily housekeeping, and the place is well staffed and professionally run with security etc. Private from other villas on site. Would 100% stay again if back in Sri Lanka.

Fantastic apartment to stay in - it’s beautiful, peaceful and a fantastic place to relax. The host you meet, Rohan, is a lovely man who always has a smile on your face, and makes sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We loved the outside area to relax, and the rooms + en-suites are immaculate and very comfortable. Probably the best AirBnB experience I’ve had to date, and was the highlight accommodation wise of my families trip to Sri Lanka

Had a fabulous 4 days at the Puzzle Beach House after an epic 8 day self-drive Tuk Tuk adventure so we were in need of some R and R……and we certainly got it. All the communication with Dale was excellent, informative and accurate and on arrival we were met by Suresh and Udesh, 2 gems who looked after us so well and were fun to interact with. The property is a true beach house, beautifully quirky right on the beach, private and with a lovely pool area and a shower emerging from a coconut tree as you come in from the beach. Suresh’s cooking was a delight and his cooking lesson has inspired us, would that we reach his high standard! Dale’s welcome pack’ was full of really useful information and clearly there is much to do for anyone wishing to be more active-for us a wander along the beach, body boarding (the house has body boards and surfboards), some lovely lunches at locally recommended beach bars and a trip by train into Galle was enough. Thanks Dale, Sabrina, Suresh and Udesh!

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

Our stay at The Dragonfly Villa was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty that only a place like this can offer. The villa is simply breathtaking — elegantly designed with stunning details, lush surroundings, and peaceful spaces that made it a true escape. A standout highlight was the exceptional cuisine lovingly prepared by Nayana. Each dish she created was bursting with flavour — fresh, comforting, and unforgettable. Every mealtime became a moment we looked forward to. Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. We left feeling so lucky and grateful

We had a truly beautiful and relaxing stay. Kavinda our host went above and beyond for us, and the chef’s cooking was absolutely perfect—they even shopped for all the ingredients! The villa’s rustic charm made it feel extra special. Though the beach hut had some weather damage, Buddika let us know in advance and kindly offered a BBQ, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sadly, we were involved in a serious accident on our way to the airport, but even from abroad, Buddika supported us incredibly—liaising with Etihad and sending her husband to visit us. Despite the unfortunate end, our stay was truly wonderful, and we highly recommend it.

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

What a find! This Dutch colonial beachfront villa was perfect for our adult family escape. The historical charm is incredible - you really feel Ceylon’s colonial past while enjoying modern luxury. The food was absolutely outstanding. Having meals cooked specifically for us felt so special - no crowds, just beautiful dishes prepared exactly how we wanted. The chef clearly knew their craft, and those leisurely dinners together were pure magic. Staff were wonderful - attentive but never intrusive, creating that perfect sophisticated atmosphere. No kids meant we could fully appreciate the villa’s elegance and that serene beachfront setting. Dining on colonial verandas with ocean breezes, excellent food, and great conversation flowing - it felt like our own private historical retreat. Perfect for adults wanting something truly refined and peaceful. Already planning our return!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This is a fantastic house located inside the walls of the fort with a beatiful view of the waves and sunsets. The house is completely renovated to a very high standard and is kept spotlessly clean by Nissanka and Dammika. They were always at hand when we needed anything and also cooked up excellent western style or sri lankan style breakfast. There is even a pool in the livingroom. A serene place, and yet lots of restaurants and attractions just metres from the gated door. Very impressive place and also very easy to communicate with Colleen, the owner of the property.

We stayed for a week and loved every minute! The location is perfect, peaceful and private but only a short Tuktuk ride from Ahangama town. It’s not traditional self-catering, so no kitchen access but the wonderful staff are on hand to make you whatever you like, no request too much! We had our own private firework display and the team installed full length mirrors for us when we realised there wasn’t one. Honestly the team are lovely, discreet but always there to help. The villa isn’t in the heart of town, but only 5 mins Tuktuk or 30 min walk, which for us on a family holiday was perfect, quiet in the evenings, but so easy to go to the lively bars and restaurants in town. We loved it here! Thank you so much to all the team

Stunning property, great staff and fabulous food.. couldn’t ask for more.. located a 10 minute walk from ahangama secret beach, Tim’s place is a paradise.. lush green surroundings, peaceful, a massive pool and cheerful, friendly staff… we hope to visit Bayagima again in the near future.. thanks again for hosting us the last night Tim!!!

super nice place to have for yourself. Take time to yourself while being close to the center of both Weligama and Mirissa. Both are easy to reach with a tuktuk or bus within 10 min. Sahan was super friendly and also his father helped us to all our wishes. The house was clean and atmospheric. The rooms were spacious, the pool was great and was cleaned every day.

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

We came in a group of 4 friends. Never seen such spacious villa. Comes with 3 bedrooms (two located on top and one at the ground floor). Spiral Staircase might be difficult for elderly. First thing that I must praise is the housekeeper, his name is Lakshan and he’s the most attentive boy ever. He’s always ready to assist. He helps to cook and reheat too. Theres ample of place for us to chill. From the living hall to the kitchen to the outdoor seats we basically fully utilized the space. The only downside is that it’s a little far from the Main Street coz the small lane seems quiet at night but it’s convenient to order food via apps so we never had to walk out. By the way; we arent pet lovers but the two doggies are sooooooooo well behaved.

Super beautiful and new villa, within walking distance of the center of Mirissa. It is the most luxurious accommodation we have stayed in during our trip. It was very clean and the private pool was great! You even have an outdoor toilet and shower. In addition, there is always someone present if you have any questions. We were there with the two of us, but you can stay with two couples, where you also have enough privacy. I can definitely recommend it.

What an incredible few days at Kirigedara! The house is even better than what you see in the photos. Harsha, the caretaker and chef went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and happy. I will forever cherish all the incredible food he made for us. He was always present and available. The house is stunning and in a very peaceful location. It is away from the town and there’s not a lot of restaurants around but we were just happy enjoying the villa, Harsha’s food, the garden and the pool. I would recommend better maintenance of the cushions/couch in the living room and Cabana. Already missing the sounds of the birds and the lush green surroundings. I can’t wait to be back!

Eliya Villa was an absolute gem. Direct beach access made every moment feel like a dream, calm, golden, and just breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and always available, helping us with cooking, arranging transport, and making sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth really made the stay special. The villa was spotless, beautifully designed, and so peaceful, felt instantly relaxed and at home. Waking up to the sound of waves, sipping coffee by the beach. It was pure magic. Would definitely come back.

Priyankara is a wonderful and kind host, his property is even better than the pictures, he was around to walk us through the space and gave local recommendations., We only stayed for a couple of days, but felt right at home, It's very charmingly decorated as well.
