Dubbed “Grilled Cheese Wagon” in honor of its past as a bus for a traveling family that offered “free grilled cheese sandwiches” at festivals, this bus has now been converted to sleep 4-6 people, in a classic summer-camp style bunkhouse. The porch has a camp stove, mini-fridge and water spigot, while inside we have a cozy area for hanging out, writing, or eating! Our 34' camper has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, full bath, full kitchen, living area with a loveseat and a futon that folds to a full size bed, table that seats 4, a TV and dvd player. With your own deck facing west towards the pond you can enjoy beautiful sunsets and the sounds of our animals around you. Please note that there is no wifi or cable tv in the getaway. So far everyone has had good cell signal.

The house was originally built in 1921 and in 2018 we had the house moved down to the pond and did a full renovation while preserving as much original character as we could. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise from the screen porch swing or one of the docks at the pond. The property has nature trails to explore, fishing, and plenty of wildlife.
