House holiday rentals in Albergaria-a-Velha

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

De facto não me surpreendeu pelos comentários que já tinha lido. Casa extremamente cheirosa, acolhedora com imensos jogos para se entreter mesmo em dias chuvosos como tivemos. Pequenos pormenores que nos cativaram cada dia passado, sem falar da vista para o Douro que não me cansava de admirar. Obrigada

Reservei o espaço para uma despedida de solteiro. Posso afirmar que todas as 11 pessoas ficaram extremamente contentes com a casa, disponibilidade do sr. Marcos e restante equipa, limpeza, comodidades e principalmente a localização da casa. Era exatamente o que procurávamos, para o tipo de férias que queríamos fazer. Fomos sempre muito bem aconselhados, informados, bem recebidos, não nos faltou nada. Uma terra linda, com atividades e locais de visita obrigatórios. Uma boa relação preço-qualidade para quem procura um bonito refúgio da vida de cidade. Muito obrigado. Voltaremos.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was perfect even the small details. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The inside and outside of the property were really well maintained and the swimming pool was an added bonus in a hot sun weather’sday! Thank you Joao for your hospitality and for being so helpful and friendly. We hope to visit again next year and definitely recommend 100%

Carla fue muy amable. Le pedimos si nos podia suministrar tres almohadas mas mullidas y lo hizo el mismo dia, sin molestarnos para nada y sin poner ninguna objecion. Nosotros no pudimos disfrutar de la piscina por el clima pero el sitio es idílico para la temporada de verano. Muchas gracias Carla

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

A beautiful house in a great location with a wonderful view from the terrace, with a very nice natural pool, but a bit cold because of the constantly fresh water. The neighborhood is very quiet and welcoming. We were a bit unlucky because of the wildfires. So we had to leave 2 days early to be sure to get to the airport and catch our plane. Irene was very friendly and open hearted and took great care of the house and pool. We can fully recommend this villa.

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

5 ⭐️ O alojamento correspondeu e superou as expectativas! Vamos voltar, de certeza! O Sr. José Carlos é muito atencioso e sempre disposto a resolver ou esclarecer qualquer dúvida. Espaço lindo, limpo, calmo e sossegado. Desde a casa, ao jardim, à piscina e à vista desafogada magnífica, tudo maravilhoso. Recomendo a 500%. Ideal para férias em família, com paz e sossego. Espetacular.

Beautifully designed apartment with a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the river in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk into the middle of town - about ten minutes for us. We enjoyed the pool too! Highly recommended.

Náhir and her Sister are great hosts responded very quickly when we needed help. Their place is very cozy and central highly recommended when staying in Porto.

Perfecta estancia para alojarse con muchas personas, Carla es una excelente anfitriona y la limpieza es impecable, la zona es muy tranquila con una vista maravillosa en el amanecer de Águeda, además la casa cuenta con un jardín con frutas de la zona y muy florido, vale la pena si estas buscando sumergirte en la tranquilidad de Portugal. El camino final para la llegada es estrecho así que debes tomarlo en cuenta, pero en la zona hay muy buena señales de las calles y puedes llegar sin problemas con Waze y google

We arrived and in felt like home. My daughter's loved the special cake that Marta left for us upon arrival. The house is well equipped with everything you need and more. The bathtub was a favorite, and the balcony was a wonderful place to relax and people watch. The beach is only steps away, along with places to grab a snack. We used the bikes for a fun ride and my daughter loved the game room area to read and do crafts. Something for everyone in a picture perfect location. The entire home was impeccable. Thank you Marta for your warm hospitality and attention to detail.

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad, Ines heeft ons van tevoren al heel veel informatie gestuurd en tips om excursies alvast te boeken voor ons verblijf, het huis is van haar moeder en ligt op een park met soortgelijke, veelal privé huizen. Het was geweldig om zo veel ruimte in en rondom het huis tot je beschikking te hebben. Het park ligt op een rustige plek tussen een grote lagune en de Atlantische Oceaan. Het huis heeft letterlijk alles wat je je maar kunt bedenken, het is volledig ingericht, ook om zelf te koken als je dat leuk en lekker vindt. Er is mooi buitenmeubilair dat je kunt gebruiken om buiten te zitten en te relaxen. Het TV scherm is huge, de wifi is voortreffelijk. Ines heeft ons geholpen bij het oplossen van problemen met onze huurauto en heeft ons bovendien aangeboden altijd te willen helpen, ook als we weer terug waren in Nederland, met eventuele (taal)problemen met het autoverhuurbedrijf. Wij vinden Ines een schat van een hostess. Bedankt Ines, voor alles.

Simplesmente fantástico! Tivemos uma estadia incrível na casa do Rui e da Marisa. Tudo estava impecavelmente limpo, bem cuidado e com uma decoração cheia de bom gosto e atenção aos detalhes. Sentimo-nos em casa desde o primeiro momento. Adorámos o jacuzzi e, claro, o espaço da fogueira, que tornou as noites ainda mais especiais. Foi tudo pensado para proporcionar conforto e momentos memoráveis. Nota-se o carinho com que tudo foi preparado! Recomendamos a 100% e esperamos voltar no futuro. We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Thank you for the hospitality António!

J’ai passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cette grande villa située à Linhares, près de Vale de Cambra, au cœur du Beira Litoral. La maison spacieuse, décorée avec goût, dispose d’une superbe piscine et d’une cuisine extérieure parfaitement équipée, idéale pour profiter du beau temps en toute convivialité. Le cadre est vraiment magnifique : calme, entouré de collines verdoyantes et baigné de lumière, c’est un véritable havre de paix. J’ai été profondément touché par la bienveillance et la gentillesse du propriétaire, toujours attentionné et prêt à rendre notre séjour inoubliable. La communication a été extrêmement amicale et sincère ; on se sent vraiment accueilli comme un ami de longue date. Après 20 ans de voyages à travers le Portugal, je peux dire sans hésiter que ce séjour est l’un des meilleurs que j’ai connus, en grande partie grâce à ce propriétaire merveilleux et à la beauté du lieu. Je recommande vivement ce logement à tous ceux qui souhaitent vivre une expérience authentique.

I so enjoyed my stay in this stunning stone house built by the host's direct relatives! I was truly charmed by the soft tinkling of goats' bells in the pasture, the adorable village dog known and loved by all, a private porch, a crackling fire on a chilly night. This village and it's people are really special, experimenting with organic farming and regularly offering multi-generational events. I was even invited to a village party that included impromptu music, singing and dancing. Self-taught musicians played accordians, guitars and ukuleles while their neighbors & relatives danced. If I moved to Portugal (I wish I could!) I would want to vacation here for a month every year. It's a perfect spot for a writer's retreat, quiet reflection or uninterrupted time together as a couple. The kitchen is a fully functional kitchen, with all the pots, pans, implements and appliances you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for 10 (even an immersion blender!)

A fantastic and unique space that really shows the incredible potential of buildings in Porto. The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable, and communication with the host was smooth and easy. We really enjoyed our stay!
