Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a fully self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental and historical features.

The Fishery Guest House

Come relax at our property! Indulge in the crystal clear water of Fishery Creek just outside the front gate, pick some fruit off our citrus trees, enjoy a cold beverage at the Fishery Falls Hotel only 5 minutes walk or have a fire in our pit and have a coldy with us. Perfect spot for access to Babinda, Harveys Creek or Josephine Falls, Gordonvale Woolies 13min drive away. Please note we have two big friendly dogs that will come say hello, we also have two young kids but they won’t disturb you!

For travelling couples, work trips, individuals wanting a relaxing space. No Kids. 2 private suites downstairs, we live upstairs. Indicate ok by all rules please.

The cottage is on a ten acre property surrounded by nature in every direction. The cottage is spacious with unique features like an outdoor bath and a lovely rainforest driveway. Rare and endemic species of rainforest and fruit trees. Wildlife and birds live and visit the property . Tree kangaroos nearby. The Crater Lakes National Park and several towns are only a 10 min drive. Secluded and magical in it's nature , Wompoo is the place to stay and take in natures ever changing ambience.

The Orchid Room - spacious, private & comfortable.

Located just outside the city and 8 minutes drive to the airport, this is a lovely peaceful apartment that is attached to the main house where we live, but completely private, with your own entrance. The spacious and fresh bedroom with tropical garden outlook is well insulated so cool in summer (it is also air-conditioned) and the fully tiled ensuite bathroom is functional and modern. The Orchid Room is perfect for a couples romantic getaway, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Hemingway’s on the Hill is a rustic private indulgence. Set high on the hill, bearing witness to the best of rural life. Cows graze paddocks, and flocks of birds fly overhead. Life is everywhere. FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

Our Tropical Flower Farm is a 52-acre property situated at the foothills of Mt Bartle about one hour drive south of the Cairns International Airport. We grow an extensive variety of tropical Heliconia and Ginger for use in the Australian Cut Flower market. Our farm is completely self-sustainable. We have a waterfall that generates our power through Hydroelectricity and gravity-fed water from a natural spring.
