The tiny house is on an elevated platform and that's why it is called `The Island'. From your bed you'll have the best views of the Transylvanian hills. Porumbacu treehouse is the perfect place for a vacation, immersed in a small forest right in the heart of Porumbacu, a mountain village in Transylvania. Two rivers cross the property and you will wake up very day in a deep green landscape. Escape from the busy weekdays life and find the relaxing and quiet way of living. In addition, in the front yard there is our Transylvanian guesthouse where you will find other facilities for a pleasant stay: fully equipped kitchen, wifi barbecue, kiosk, etc.

The apartment is part of a traditional transylanian farmhouse, with a private entryway. The rooms are freshly restored and offer a cozy and calm ambiance. Breakfast is included and consists of delicious, organic and local ingredients, most of them actually being produced on the farm, that you are welcome to visit. Farm to table dinner is available as well, upon request beforehand (at least two days before arrival). We make equisite cheese, butter, charcuterie and other delicious treats.

This is an appartment with one big and cosy room. The place has good light and is quiet. Alexandra, your local host, is very nice and speaks English. If you are part of bigger group, rent also Alma Vii 103A, located in the same yard. In April & October, this house is heated like in the old days, with a traditional fireplace. House facilities: one room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, one bathroom, kitchenette, shared yard, parking space Children aged 3-12 pay half of the price.

Our village is situated between Brasov city and Sibiu city, 2 km to the national way DN 1, 15 km to the faimous roud "trasfagarasan", 15 km to the highest mountains in Romania.The house is an old house wich preserves the atmosphere of the 1900s, the furniture has over 100 years old. It is a good place to experience the original peasant life in the middle of Transylvania. Here it is a good place and a easy way to discover our Country, our culture and our life.
