my stay here was amazing, the apartment very nice and clean is surrounded by nature. I loved this thing. chaminda and his sons are very welcoming and helpful, they gave me several tips. there is also the possibility to rent the scooter with them and they picked up and organized the departure for me at the airport. I could also use the washing machine to do the laundry. I also had the opportunity to stay after the check out time which was very helpful for me. Thanks for your availability🙏🏻.i recommend it:)

I stayed in this apartment for 5 weeks during my hospital internship and have been very happy with the location, cleanliness and value for money. Chandra and her husband are hospitable, quiet landlords who were easy to reach at any time. I felt very safe here. This apartment is suitable for short and long stays in Galle. The city center and Unawatuna can be reached quickly by bus and for the hospital in Karapitiya I took a tuktuk every day for the equivalent of €1.50. The nearest beach is a 5-minute walk and perfect for swimming and surfing beginners. I'd come back.

Danuka was a great host, very flexible with check in/out times and let us drop our bags off early. Helped us rent scooters and even source a lost parcel. Thanks for a great stay

Great welcome , extremely clean spaces...the only downside is the proximity to the railway...which was well indicated in the listing ...but very noisy when a train passes ...I imagine we get used to it but in 3 days we don't have time ... also 10 minutes from the market, the beach ...good location ...

This place is great! Sonali is so responsive and helpful. The apartment is just as described, clean and well equipped. You do have to pay extra for AC which is needed. The washing machine is wonderful to have and a really nice touch. We would stay again!

We had a great stay here. Every time we come to Galle this is where we will stay. We not only enjoy this host we have stayed with this host multiple times and we have only positive things to say. We look forward every time to checking in that we arrive and have a wonderful time. We cannot stress enough how beautiful the property is and how responsive the hosts are to provide anything for the guests.

Ruwan is a very dear person who goes out of her way to make sure you don't miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (there was the same thing every day). Ruwan organized transportation to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was also very nice. We took a trip to the turtles and Galle along with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was like a tourist guide who also gives us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret having spent 4 nights at Ruwan's and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

I had a fantastic stay at Coloration Villa! Sumudu is a wonderful host—welcoming, helpful, and always available. The villa is modern, clean, and surrounded by nature, offering the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation. I loved the spacious rooms, open-plan kitchen, and the peaceful garden. The location is ideal—close to Hikkaduwa’s beaches and nightlife, yet tucked away in a quiet village. Whether you’re here to surf, explore, or just unwind, this place is perfect. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Wonderful spacious place with fresh renovation and mesmerizing ocean view. Very easy to to contact your host and staff. Lots of places around, 1 minute to the ocean. There is a minimum set of detergents - shower gels and shampoos. Clean enough, but the kitchen is starting to feel a little musty. For this season, it can look a little expensive and I want to expect more details at this price category - slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, more towels, shaving accessories, but these are more points for improvement, still this is an apartment, not a hotel. 11/10 :)

While the accommodation itself was perfect, the real selling point for this stay is the hosts. They are the most lovely hosts I’ve ever had, attending to all of our needs and very communicative. Please do yourself a favour and stay here! 10/10

You cannot miss this place if you’re planning to visit Hikkaduwa! From the very beginning, Ruwan went above and beyond to make our stay effortless, warm, and truly memorable. Not only did he help us with everything we needed, but he also personally took us around, showed us the best local spots, and shared his amazing recommendations — especially for restaurants (all of which were perfect!). The property itself is serene, surrounded by greenery — waking up to that peaceful silence felt like a dream. If you’re someone who loves nature, calm, and a genuine local experience, this is exactly where you need to be. What made our stay extra special was Ruwan’s lovely family — so sweet, kind, and welcoming. It felt like being taken care of by people who truly want you to have the best time. We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

Kosala and his Family were so welcoming to us ! Our children played with his daughters, we felt very at Home.. he was also caring much about keeping our Place clean and comfortable. We are definitely going to miss them! Only one side down was that, even if the location it’s great , meaning you have great restaurants, surf schools , everything is close by, the streets are very loud , you can hear them all day and night. Other than this we are totally coming back to stay with Kosala and his family ! Thank you!!

Highly recommended guesthouse with very helpful host, providing super tasty breakfast and great recommendations for the region (turtle rescue project, boat trip), where he even drove us to. Never seen such a kind host. Just perfect!

A large manor with a very unique and beautiful environment. There are coconut groves, mango trees, and starfruit trees... The location is also very good. It's right next to the beach. The service is very welcoming. It feels like home. It's also very personalized. Because we came back late from whale watching, they gave us a house to check out late. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to stay at the hotel and enjoy such a beautiful environment. I highly recommend it.

Very good experience overall. Very clean, good location. Host was very responsive and we even got late check out :) I would for sure recommend staying here.

At first, Google Maps gave me a hard way, so I wandered around a bit, but I felt better when I saw the place in such a great space. It was a little far from Hikadu and Main Beach, but it was good to go to Tuk Tuk, and it was a place where you could feel the very nice forest path and the beach at the same time. Very friendly family, welcome coconut juice and milk tea, and a bit of snacks we felt Sri Lanka's kindness and kindness again. It was a trip to stop by, so I only stayed one day, but it was a good thing that it was so comfortable and enjoyable.

Patrick is a great host who will help you with everything. He arranged a transfer for us to a villa, chose the best room for our needs and help with every query we had. He's always around when you need him and respects your privacy at the same time. The place is amazing for digital nomads (or people who would like to come here just to rest). Great wi-fi speed on every floor and at every place. We didn't need to be afraid of power cuts because of the generator which worked perfectly. The villa has an amazing view of the lake with a lot of palm trees with monkeys just next to you. Very nice pool which you can use 24/7 with fancy lights when it's dark. You can order tasty food at a very good price, which will be delivered to your laptop or to a place where you're chilling. Very good coffee (important especially for developers). The villa is away from the main road but at the same time just a 5-10 min bike/tuk-tuk ride from the market/wine store/atm. You would have 10 min walk to a beautiful beach where you can buy coconuts or pineapples. Surf rental is just a few steps from there. People here are friendly and helpful. Sunil (who helps Patrick) can arrange a bike rental or anything you would need. Just come to experience it!
