Holiday houses in Ambalangoda

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks there. The house is a godsend with its location, right on the beach, and its amenities. The residents in the neighborhood were all very friendly. The place is not yet a tourist hotspot, which we enjoyed very much. There is a train station in Ambalanghoda, so you can easily get to other cities. Otherwise, the usual tuk tuks run everywhere. Jay the housekeeper fulfilled all our wishes and was very accommodating. He cooked for us a few times for an extra charge, very tasty!

I stayed for two weeks at this beachfront villa in Ambalangoda, and it was an incredible experience. The villa is spacious, with large rooms and plenty of space to relax. Having a parking area was a huge advantage, especially for my rented motorcycle. Denuka, the host, was extremely helpful and responsive. He quickly addressed my requests via WP and ensured a smooth stay. Another highlight was Denuka’s uncle, who spends most of the day near the swing in the front yard. He is incredibly kind and always ready to help whenever needed. Exploring the surroundings by motorcycle was a fantastic experience—I highly recommend it. Overall, this villa is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

Was there for a night with friends and we were all surprised at how spacious it was. Super clean and spacious rooms, bathrooms, etc. The area upstairs where we hung out was spacious as well. Rooftop was amazing as the weather was cool and we hung out there for quite a long time. Was quiet around and the caretaker was very sweet and helpful as well. Great recommendations of nearby restaurants and the caretaker was kind enough to bring the food to us when we didn't hear the delivery as we were all upstairs. Kitchen had every thing necessary as well. All in all, thank you very much! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Highly, Highly recommend the place! It’s a short distance away from Ambalangoda railway station, easy to locate. The place is absolutely beautiful, very thoughtfully done! The backyard with the lawn is such a peaceful place to just take a breath. The house is tastefully decorated, all basic amenities are available. The host is super responsive, and the caretaker Priyanka, was one of the most helpful people. Breakfast provided was all delicious! Overall, one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in so far, perfect for a quiet peaceful getaway!

The treehouse is an amazing place to stay for exploring the south coast of Sri Lanka. The location is very private and enclosed but still close to the towns of Unawatuna and Galle. The treehouse itself was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and even have a BBQ! The pool was a great size and depth with a cool rope swing. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, with a very friendly doorman. We wish we could have stayed longer as this was the highlight of our trip.

My family had 5 nights in this delightful house which was a perfect antidote to 10 days of rushing around the island of Sri Lanka. It was so relaxing and greatly benefited from having private staff who dealt with everything we could possible have wanted. There is a private chef who went out of his way to prepare whatever we asked for, 3 meals a day if needed. He only charged us for the ingredients required to prepare those meals which included a range of seafoods (e.g. huge prawns and seer fish), fresh fruit and very tasty Sri Lankan main dishes and deserts - nothing was too much trouble and he should be justly proud of his cooking skills, some of the best meals we tasted on our trip. They happily took us out on the tuk-tuk to local shops and will arrange local tours but we were "toured out" by the time we got there. The pool is fantastic (and huge!) and the grounds are constantly maintained by "Uncle". I cannot say anything but positive things, but do bring the bug sprays!

Fabulous villa for our two families of 4 adults and 4 children (all under 5). The pool was the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka with a guard on duty to clean daily as well as being located in a lush garden where we had water monitors, mongoose and eagles fly above us. Jayantha is a true master in the kitchen. Please order his dinners if you stay as they taste delightful as well as cheaper than out at restaurants. The breakfast was even better with different options each day (egg hoppers, pancakes, omelette plus fresh fruit and toast). If we return we would not hesitate to stay again.

Words cannot describe how perfect our stay was. Sharmini was a fantastic host, even before we got there. She was quick to answer my many questions about the villa, the local area and sharing details of companies that could collect our large party of 12 from the airport. Even calling them on my behalf when they didn't respond to my messages. The photos of the villa don't do it justice. The rooms are all a fantastic size, beds and pillows comfy and the bathrooms are wonderful. The location on the beach was just perfect. We were 3 families with 6 children between 2 and 8 and we all spent our time running from beach to pool l. Idilic. But the standout feature of the villa is the fabulous and dedicated staff. Dilu, Milan and Bandu. Dilu could not do enough for us and was on hand, yet discreet. Milan! Well his cooking is easily the best I've had in Sri Lanka. He cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for all of us every night catering for us all! Our villa stay was perfect in every way!
