Cottage holiday rentals in Amble

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Ivy Cottage was just as it was described. We took advantage of the hot tub too. It was a great base to travel and walk to other places. Marie was very approachable and so helpful, she contacted us before the visit and was responsive to all questions. We didn’t need to contact her during our stay as everything was perfect and all instructions were clear and information was left for us to take advantage of. Perfect stay in a great place!!!

Fabulous! We had 6 days at the Old Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are brilliant and the accommodation equally brilliant too. Peaceful location, well kept gardens, lovely hot tub and there was everything we needed at the accommodation. The hosts also left us some lovely surprises/treats too. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to come home and we will be back again in future. Thank you Sue and Phil!

Stayed here a few times now, for times when were going to events. Each time we visit we love Stanley cottage and the surrounding area a little bit more. It’s a lovely cottage with everything you would need for your stay. Great hosts, we will definitely be here again.

What a fantastic home! Its right in the centre, at the bottom of a street of shops and only a minute from the harbour. The property is huge, and everything is beautifully decorated. We stayed as a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) and there was plenty of room for all of us. You have everything you could need for a lovely stay in Amble. We ate breakfast at the place next door (I think its called Hithe) and it was lovely. Would recommend the boat trip to Coquet Island, we saw lots of seals and puffins! Also if you have children, you can catch crabs along the harbour when the tide is in.

A perfect holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Great views from all the windows and a fantastic garden. It is very warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Welcome treats were a thoughtful touch and Angela has been a great host. Exceeded our (already high) expectations -- one of the best Airbnb rentals I've stayed in!

What a beautiful home Anna has prepared for her guests and the person who cares for it between lets is to be commended. Everything about our holiday here with a couple of friends was outstanding. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated - sofas and beds very comfortable. It is the best equipped home I have ever stayed in. It was spotless. The garden is peaceful and large. The Hot Tub was a real treat. We have just returned home and we both feel so relaxed. Because of its position it’s easy to get around and we had some lovely days out. Anna is great at communicating. We really felt at home and could have stayed there forever. Thank you Anna - you really deserve to be a SuperHost.

Great find here in Beadnell. Property spotless and host easily contactable. Lovely little touches to make it feel really homely. Didn’t cook much whilst here but there seemed to be everything you would need. Great location and proximity to Craster arms which serves great variety of food and beer. We’ve visited the area several times but never stayed in Beadnell. We’ll definitely return.

Great place for 2 reasons, very clean and comfortable house and amazing location. 20min walk to Embleton Bay, right behind the Dunstable Hotel if you fancy s drink or a meal, 5 min walk to the local Village shop or 15 min drive to a main supermarket. Electric car station 5 minutes walking.

Just wow! We’ve just got back from a simply amazing stay at Pam & Richard’s beautiful cottage. Some highlights for us were: 1) the little touches from treats for the dog to home baking, we felt so well looked after 2) the beautiful surroundings, it was so peaceful, no photos can really do it justice 3) the cottage itself, the beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and it had everything you need. Pam and Richard were just lovely, and whilst they’re just next door, they didn’t impose at all, we had some brilliant recommendations for walks and food. We will definitely be coming back! What a great place to stay, really peaceful yet easy to reach the places we wanted to see, but definitely need a car for this. Ian and Felicity were really helpful with local knowledge and the accommodation had a lot of information about where to visit. Really happy to recommend this, was anything lacking? Definitely not.

We love the location and it’s nice and quiet area not far from all sight seeing and Alnwick town just 15 minutes drive . We enjoyed every day there love love love Northumberland. Could not fault The Hemmel at all. Absolutely beautiful. The accommodation, surroundings and view was exceptional. Ezra our labradoodle loved the enclosed garden. From the greeting off Kate, the beautiful homemade cake and flowers left for us, watching the red squirrel and the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and beaches, there was nothing we did not like about our stay. If we decide to come back to this neck of the woods, this would be our first pick. Five stars and beyond.

Comfortable, clean and tidy cottage in a beautiful location. Fantastic pub on the doorstep (book in advance it’s very popular). Easy access to coast or country. On arrival we found milk in the fridge and Prosecco on the side which provided a nice touch.

Great little annex, spacious and clean with great amenities. Was greeted with fresh bread and brownies, butter and eggs. The bread and brownies were delicious. Amazing views and so quiet. Enjoyed seeing the birds feeding off the feeder, especially the woodpecker. Lovely wood burner. A good base for either walks around the area or to see the Roman ruins or for attractions further afield in Northumberland.

Me and my two daughters had a lovely time in this beautiful cottage. Cozy, clean and comfy. Amazing bathroom! Beach just around the corner; bakery, pizza place, chippy & co-op on the doorstep. A great base to explore the gorgeous coast. Thanks so much Lorna - we will be back hopefully 🙏

Michael gave us clear instructions as to get to the cottage in this quiet village. It was spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven. There is a washing machine. Two bathrooms each with a shower, one is over the bath and the other is a walk-in one. There is a spacious gated parking area at the back of the cottage. It is a short walk from the Hauxley wildlife discovery centre which is rated one of the best UK wildlife centres. It has a excellent cafe overlooking one of the lakes.

You won’t be disappointed if you book Lindsey’s cottage. Immaculate, well situated for restaurants, shops and all amenities and within striking distance of beautiful places like Holy Island And Bamburgh castle. Had a great time

Beautiful property in a stunning seafront location. The cottage had all the amenities we needed with a wonderful view of the sea. Nigel and Jane were very welcoming and recommended a bistro in Amble, Jaspers which was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sue’s pristine and tasteful cottage. It had everything we needed to enjoy our restful stay - thoroughly recommend and will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in spite of the cold and rainy weather. The house is warm and cosy and provides a welcome haven at the end of the day. The house offers all you need for a very comfortable break. The bedding is clean and crisp and the towels are fluffy. All the kitchen equipment is in pristine condition. Very comfortable, the beds and sofas offered a home from home experience. Our doggies also enjoyed their stay.

Toft Hall Cottage exceeded our expectations in the location, spaciousness, internal appointment of fixtures and fittings and the level of comfort provided. We were welcomed by Maggie. Mac and Maggie were always available for any queries, but in actual fact, the details provided beforehand meant most of our questions had already been answered. The coffee machine was a really nice touch. The local bird life kept us amused thanks to the abundance of food provided. All in all, a great stay. Would look forward to a return visit
