Holiday rentals with a kayak in Annapolis County

The house is GORGEOUS and fit us 5 and our doggo perfectly. We loved the gorgeous lake and all the outdoor amenities for swimming, fishing, and paddling supplies. The beds were so comfy and the house was clean! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a holiday in nature with all the comforts and luxuries!

Our group had a wonderful stay at this secluded lake house! The setting was peaceful and beautiful, with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The house and garage were spacious, well-stocked, and perfect for spending quality time together. The house has such a variety of games, the biggest selection of kitchen items I have seen in an airbnb yet, and such a beautiful view! It has a great combination of inside and outside gathering areas! The host was very responsive and flexible throughout the booking and our stay. A couple of small things to note: the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, the service was not great in the area so be prepared to have directions set up prior to getting close, and the key box was a little tricky to find when we arrived. That said, once we settled in, everything else went smoothly. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely consider staying again! Note: bring bug spray!

Absolutely perfect in every way! Penny’s beautiful cottage was a true paradise for our family and we will cherish the memories we made there forever. From the moment we arrived, we could feel the love and care Penny has put into every detail of this incredible retreat. The cottage itself is delightful — impeccably clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and enjoyment. It’s stocked with everything you could possibly need (and then some!) for a fabulous stay. And there are so many fun things to do! We were truly blown away by the amazing home, property and especially the host. Penny’s welcoming, communication, hospitality and kindness are like nothing we have ever experienced. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to stay at this slice of heaven and cannot wait to return! Thank you Penny for creating such a wonderful and special place — we already miss it!

I have been thinking what I would include in this review since we stepped foot on Ginny’s beautiful property. None of what I’ve thought about saying scratch the surface of how amazing the property is. The photos don’t do it justice! The property is in amazing condition and well appointed with comfortable linens and furniture. We particularly appreciated the abundant supply of dark towels to help with washing everything from sticky fingers to removing mascara. Ginny has thought of everything you could possibly need, want or need before we did. Everything you might need or want on a whim has been thoughtfully provided by Ginny. Oh, and on the topic of Ginny… a better host has never existed! They’re so thoughtful, proactive and kind. Thank you for such a lovely and relaxing stay. Our only regret is not spending more time at your lovely property.

The place was surrounded by beautiful nature and right in front of the lake. The host provided kayak, fishing rods that we could enjoy at the lake side. A beautiful place for stargazing too. We had a great time together as a family. The host was very responsive to our questions during our stay.

This was the perfect rustic get-away! The kids had so much to do, and mom and dad had lots of space to relax. The diving dock was a hit (even in the cold) and kayaks were awesome! The boat washroom at the beach was such a nice touch and was super clean, the beach toys and kids toys in the cabin were great. I’m so thankful to have had an affordable place to unplug with my family- Thank you Keith and Sarah!!

A lovely home with a fully stocked kitchen. We did alot of cooking & out of all the airbnbs that we have stayed at, this one had the best kitchen! Beautiful lakefront home with nice new kayaks for us to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here over New Year’s and it was the perfect getaway. Super comfortable, cozy woodstove, and amazing views. We’d definitely return!

What an amazing place to stay. From the start when we booked 6 months ago, Ken was always responsive with my questions and accommodating. We were shocked with how perfect the whole set up was. Everything was thought of to host. Beautiful clean kitchen, 2 bathrooms with tubs/showers. Bedrooms fresh, clean, comfortable beds. Lots and lots of extra bedding, towels, cooking gear. Fans in each room, nice cool air conditioning, tvs in bedrooms, amazing wifi for inside and outside. Can’t say enough good things. The outside set up, was the best part. We weren’t so lucky with weather the first two nights, but there’s a huge outdoor area where you can cook, hangout and it had a metal roof to stay dry. Even a smoker which we tried for the first time. Dock, boats lifejackets everything there. Plenty of seating and an awesome fire pit. Honestly, our family of 10 have never stayed in another spot that we felt so comfortable and had everything we needed to make our trip perfect. We will be back!

Really great attentive host and responded quickly if anything was needed. Accommodated late check out and early check in as well, which is rare these days!

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The cottage met all of our expectations and more. John was a pleasure to communicate with, and we are happy we got to stay in this wonderful cottage, it’s a hidden gem.

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage! It was exactly how it was described, and the lake/view was breathtaking! We stayed for 4 nights with our daughter and we were all sad to be leaving on our last day. The cottage was fully stocked with everything needed, including everything for outside (firewood, boats, beach towels, etc.). Jill was great to deal with - provided great instructions, information about the area, and responsive! Overall, great experience!

We had a lovely stay at the lake. It was just far enough away to feel secluded, but close enough to Bridgewater for a pub meal or a browse through Mahone Bay. We hit the boulangerie in Blockhouse one morning, as well. The little lake is perfect, and I had my first kayak adventure. We roasted marshmallows, saw lightening bugs, and watched turtles in the water. The cottage was very comfortable, well-stocked, and had a charming view over the lake.

Perfect escape at the lake. Kelley’s place offered everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped & kayaking was possible even with safety vests for kids. Check-in was very easy and Kelley was very responsive.

If you looking for a cozy place to stay - it is perfect choice! Ideal if you want to escape out of city for a weekend! Cottage was very warm and cozy, I felt that it was filled with love! Becky left all instructions and made sure we can reach with any questions. We had a wonderful weekend! Definitely recommend!

We (myself and two other women) stayed for a weekend getaway - we made gourmet meals and fancy cocktails and spent our time swimming in the lake (the little floaties with cup holders were perfect!) and talking around the fire pit. This place is in the most gorgeous location - tucked away in the woods and on a lovely lake. Just jump off the dock for perfect swimming! It is also outfitted with everything you could possibly need - some serious attention to detail has gone into this place and it shows (right up to the patio lights which are on a timer and will come on exactly when you need them)! Perfectly clean. Very responsive host. Although we didn’t have kids with us, we are all moms and can attest that it is also thoughtfully outfitted for families! We give this place our highest recommendation!

Cabin is very basic but bed was comfortable, showers/ bathroom was 50’ away. There is a covered porch attached where you can watch the tidal river change hourly. The view was inspiring. The cabin smelled nice and fresh, bedding was clean and homey, I m happy to report no insects in cabin. If you are expecting a glamping experience I wouldn’t choose this but if you want a beautiful, quiet, clean place, I would definitely choose this one.

You basically have two types of Airbnb's: people who rent out their home for as much profit as possible, and people who share their home with a bit of love. This house is undoubtedly shared out of love. We really had a fantastic time. You notice in everything that the host does everything to give you the best experience. This house and the surroundings were pure magic for our family. I couldn't recommend a better place than this. It is really the most special place we have ever stayed through Airbnb. In addition, the house offers all the comforts and facilities to have a great time.
