Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Antananarivo

An exceptional service, both in terms of the place and the people. From hosts to take care to make sure everything goes smoothly... I was looking for a place near Lake Anosy, so I could do administrative procedures. After booking, I realize that the location originally shown on the map of Tana was incorrect. Since I had to fly, I thought this location close to Ivato airport was a possible option. Olga provided her 4x4 with driver for a reasonable price, in order to do my shopping in town. The driver, the housekeeper, the caretaker are all adorable and speak French and are available to make the stay as easy as possible. I highly recommend even for a night or two in transit near the airport, for example for a large family. Thanks Olga, Lolo and the whole team!

Mme Faras home is a GEM! A rare find! A beatiful and well kept house, pool and garden. We loved it there! We stayed for four weeks with our two children (2and 6 yo) and happily ate the malagazy dinners Fara made every day. She's a great cook! Mme Fara also gave us very useful medical advice (she's a doctor). The pictures in the listing are accurate, the house is light and beatiful, and very well climatized. By Malagacy standards this must be an extremely high standard house, it almost felt like living in a house in the south of France. Few mosquitos and also the pool is lovely and clean. The only downside, I have to say, is that one can feel a bit isolated this far outside Antananarivo. It took us approximately two hours drive to the center of Tana in rush hour, and this was unpractical. (Remember never to trust google maps estimation of distanse and time in the malagacy rush hour traffic!) The driver available is super nice and drives very safe, but the car doesn't have seatbelts and is an old Toyota, so don't expect a fancy ride. So: If your plan is to mostly stay put in a lovely house with a great host, and not go driving into town very often, Mme Faras house is highly recommended!

Very good hostel right next to the city center, everything very good to reach on foot. Everything was clean, even in the bar, where the WiFi also worked well. Very nice and helpful employees who gave me good tips (e.g. bus stations). The only bad and fixable problem is the mosquito net with holes, otherwise impeccable.

Didier's apartment is magic, it is incredibly decorated, very quite and with a great location in Tana. On top of this, Didier is really very nice and always ready to help and make everything smooth. Thank you Didier. I will come back very soon.

The apartment has a lot of character and charm with an exceptional panoramic view of Tana. It is located in the heights of Tana away from noise and pollution and very close to the Museum of Photography and the Queen's Palace. The apartment is very airy and bright, and what a pleasure to enjoy the balcony for breakfast or a drink at the end of the day. The bed is very comfortable and the antique furniture is beautiful. Pascale's apartment is a little gem that doesn't leave it insensitive. We put our bags there and fell in love. In addition, the person who takes care of the maintenance is adorable, as are the caretakers. We found our pied-à-terre in Tana.

Stella's place is very nice. It is conveniently located and surrounded by restaurants and cafes. It is a five-minute walk to two supermarkets. The apartment is clean and well taken care of. I would stay there again.

We were a group of 3 and we were hosted well at Emmanuel's. The apartment is clean and beautiful. It can easily accommodate a group of 5-7 people. Depending on availability there is a driver onsite who can give you a lift either by motorbike or car to your destinations. If he is not available they can call a local taxi for you and get you the correct rate for your destination. (Sadly some taxi drivers will take advantage of the fact that you are a foreigner and overcharge you) Overall a positive experience and we were well looked after by Emmanuel's team.

The stay at the Chalet du Lac was great! The house is very well equipped and spacious. Hosts are also very responsive! I highly recommend it
