We loved our stay, thanks again to Jorge. Everything was perfect, a haven of peace. We wanted a relaxing vacation and that's exactly what this house offers. The horses are a real plus, it was a pleasure to see them every day. The setting is beautiful and the house is very well equipped, we didn't miss anything. We'll be back as soon as we can!

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

Enquadramento in a privileged area, where the pine forest and the dune merge. Comfortable and cosy decoration. Modern architecture contextualized with surrounding nature. No doubt a haven to restore peace and load energy.

Very nice house, rather spacious, completely faithful to the photos. All three bedrooms are upstairs. Perfect for 6 people. Ideally located to visit the north of Portugal without being far from Porto. Stores within 10 min and the train station 5 min away allows you to reach Porto in 50 min for €2.90! We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We had such a glorious stay, we cannot recommend it enough. Carolina was super responsive and accommodating, gave us amazing recommendations of restaurants and kindly booked a couple of reservations for us. Everything is within walking distance throughout the city. The apartment is surrounded with beautiful views. The plunge pool was a lovely bonus to cool down in the late afternoon, not overlooked at all. Thank you again x

From the absolutely extraordinary house, to the scenery that seems to come from a movie, to Mr. Manuel who left us speechless of so friendly and dear that he is. There is no better place than this to rest, and we leave thinking about the time to return. The photographs do not make juz to the place at all… Very spacious house, we were in a T1 and there was a lot of space, well decorated, very modern, with an amazing outdoor space, it is simply magical to go to the balcony and only listen to the birds. Thank you Lúcia and thank you to Mr. Manuel, who made this stay fantastic and to wish you back!

Great location, with stunning beachfront views. Quiet place, and with restaurants nearby. Within walking distance many localities to be able to visit. The hosts are very friendly and ready for recommendations and collaboration.

The house is a stand alone accomodation with a lovely front terrace surrounded by fields....if you love nature, this is it...close by is a super restsurant if you don't feel like cooking and about 15 min max a coffee shop...so basically you don't need anything else...

The location and its wonderful surroundings. Very well-equipped house and go out to the garden and outdoor area to enjoy the jacuzzi and the spectacular pool. The views from all the rooms to the garden are amazing. Michel was aware of our arrival and made it easier for us to leave later to make better use of our time. We will definitely repeat it.

A wonderful stay. The house is positioned perfectly to explore the northern part of Portugal. The house is comfortable and well maintained. There is a lovely patisserie next door. Pedro was very helpful, providing details of the local area and arranged a table for us at a fish restaurant in Esposede which was lovely. We would stay here again.

We stayed a week in Ana's house and quite enjoyed it. The weather was not the best, but the house has all the comforts of home so we cooked dinner and watched Netflix while the rain was pouring down. Having a proper kitchen with a dishwasher available is great on evenings like that! On sunny and warm days, the terrace is a treat. The house is in a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood, ordinary people live around there and the folks next door have a few curious goats. There are good restaurants within walking distance, our favorite is Casa da Joana. One of the official paths passes through the same street as the house, very nice walk that takes you past the same Joana's. Perfect for lunch. You need a car. Then all the walks, Viana do Castelo, Braga, Ponte de Lima etc are within easy driving range. If you are used to the softer Scandinavian beds, you may find the queen size bed rather firm.
