Holiday rentals with a kayak in Antrim County

You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

We had a large group here for a girls’ weekend and had a great time together. We really enjoyed the beautiful setting, kayaks, games, hot tub, and plenty of space to unwind. The host was responsive and helpful when two plumbing issues came up, as well as when the stove wouldn’t turn on. It was a fun and relaxing getaway!

Great place to stay for a ski trip with a large family. Will and Brienna were great hosts. The home and bunkhouse were clean and modern. Will come back in the future with family and friends. Thanks for helping us make memories!

I was incredibly happy with our stay here and felt right at home. This might sound silly, but I love that they leave all of their cleaning supplies there so I could clean and vacuum throughout the week. I also loved how there was a closet with hangers, empty dressers, and a clothes hamper. I didn't have to feel like I was living out of my suitcase. I loved the design of the house, especially the kitchen. It's what really set this home apart from others for me. We brought our own paddle boards but the water was still pretty cold, so we opted to use the kayaks Brandi provided instead. We so appreciated that and it was such a short drive to the water! I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at many Airbnbs and am an Airbnb host myself and it’s very hard to impress me. My wife says “turn work off when we go on vacation” haha That being said…. This was one of the best (if not the best) Airbnb we have stayed at! They did a great job with it! There was a slight hiccup but literally was out of the owners hands and couldn’t be avoided. Peggy went above and beyond to accommodate us! I’d highly recommend this property too anyone. Top things we loved- Proximity to the lake Kayaks Hot tub All the games! Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Directly on the lake with an area for our kids to play, a dock to enjoy and an awesome porch and outdoor firepit. The house was very clean and had all cookware and basic items we needed. Great place for fun with the family or just go relax and unwind.

This was truly the perfect place for us to stay! Several members our family ran the Charlevoix Marathon, and the cottage proved to be the ideal place for us to rest, to relax, and to enjoy the beautiful Lake, Michigan! Tara and Caleb were fantastic hosts! Their communication was wonderful, and the house exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend this place, and we would seriously consider coming back again in the summer next year! We enjoyed s’mores by the fire, kayaking on the lake, incredible sunsets, and very comfortable accommodations. Thank you for fantastic weekend and a memorable stay for our family!

We had an amazing stay! While the weather was a colder Memorial Day weekend than usual, the lake was as beautiful as ever. We traveled with three small ones and two dogs, and everyone had a blast. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had ziploc bags and plastic containers for leftovers. There was plenty of space for everyone inside and the owners were so accommodating, bringing extra sheets and firewood down for us. This place was so wonderful, I even looked at renting it again later in the summer. This is such a great deal and located in the perfect spot. We will definitely be back!

The house was absolutely beautiful! Lots of room and spacious. There was 6 of us staying and never felt like we were on top of each other or trying to squeeze in. Beautiful backyard with the river going right through it! Sarah was so easy to contact and extremely fast at answering. She was super kind and helpful!! I would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!!

If you are interested in staying at a lake house in northern MI., this property should be seriously considered. The cottage is roomy, has a well-stocked kitchen and is located within a 30 minute drive of several attractions including a lavender farm, maple syrup sellers and the Grey Gables restaurant in Charlevoix. The grounds of the cottage are as seen on the Airbnb listing. It was a pleasure to just sit in the shade near the lake in between swims. It is my hope and expectation that we will return at some future date.

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.

I grew up in the 70's going to this cabin. My great uncle built it. My siblings and i were thrilled to see that it was an airbnb now. A lot has changed since we were up there last (1978), but it was so fun to reminisce and walk around our old stomping grounds. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

The house was perfect, very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans. We would definitely recommend this place and will stay again if it’s available when we plan to come north.

Best Airbnb ever!! The location and view are incomparable and the house is comfortable and well-stocked. You could spend all day staring at the ever-changing lake from inside or from out on the deck, in the yard, or on the perfectly situated balcony. However, if you venture down to the beach you will be rewarded with even more stunning views and peaceful walks along the shore. I felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves most of the time. The sunsets are truly amazing! The Eastport market is convenient and offers beer, wine, liquor and a small deli counter as well as toiletries and pet supplies. I was especially pleased with the selection of Michigan wines—the Black Star Farms Pinot Noir Rose is a must! We also enjoyed getting fresh pastries, coffee, tea, burritos, and tamales at Providence Organic Farm and Market Cafe. Overall, I can’t imagine a better place to spend a fun family vacation or a quiet, restorative retreat!

I like the place but weather was really bad we are staying hole vacation inside the house.felling really bad.

The place was perfect for our get together! It was beautiful! The only thing I will say is that there are a lot of bugs and we did have to check ourselves for ticks. But that was the only downfall! Would LOVE to stay again.

A peaceful and beautiful getaway! The cabin was a simple cozy place to hunker down in, while the lake and view was nothing short of spectacular. My girl even hooked a chunky carp while out fishing on a row boat! The place was heavenly in the fall time. Michael was also incredibly informative, letting us know about the nearby hiking trails (grass river natural area was amazing), and a nearby corner store that sells worms for fishing amongst plenty of other essentials. Would 100% return again, maybe this time during the summer!

We recently stayed at this breathtaking Airbnb, and I can’t say enough about how perfect it was! The location offers stunning panoramic views—whether you’re enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening, the scenery is simply unforgettable. The house itself is beautifully well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. After a long day, we gathered around the firepit to enjoy the warmth and make s’mores. It was a magical way to end the evenings, and the hosts provided all the tools and ingredients we needed to make the experience perfect. This place is truly a peaceful retreat and has all the comforts you could ask for. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of nature, comfort, and a memorable stay! Amanda's kindness and care for their guests made us feel welcome. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. A wonderful host who made sure our family vacation would be memorable and special.

We really enjoyed our 4 days at Bob's They had the driveway totally cleared of snow and the house was clean and ready for us. We had no trouble with the passcode entrance. The kitchen was stocked very well and the appliances really high end. We used the oven all three nights and found even some extra spices we could use. My son made cookies with the grand girls and it worked out well because of the seats at the counter and the Island. The girls were able to make a huge snowman the first day in the back. We took advantage of the game room 2 different days and enjoyed the Fuse Ball, Air Hockey, Dart board, etc. Also we took advantage of the pool and each of us enjoyed the hot tub and slide. We took a sleigh ride out at the Cook Family Farm which was beautiful, and they were very nice. All in all we thought everything was wonderful. The number of baths and bedrooms worked out well us.
