Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Appenzell Ausserrhoden

We were able to spend super nice days at Manuela's cottage for the second time. Everything was perfect again. The large garden was a highlight for young and old to play, discover or relax. We really appreciated the many toys for the kids. The house is also very lovingly furnished. Thank you very much dear Manuela.

The house is very beautiful and the garden is like you are in a resort, and the view is amazing. Everything is clean. I came to this village before I go to Interlaken, and it is more beautiful in nature. Monica is very kind and friendly, and proactive in communication.

An amazing location , just up from Trogen. A lovely place to stay for a quiet stay except for the cow bells. A lovely host.

We've spent 5 nights in Nicole's house with our friends, 4 couples alltogether. It is a huge house, there are rooms everywhere. It reminded us the house from "Home Alone" :) We really liked it. Though the guests must clean the house before they leave - everything was clean, nice and comfortable. The kitchen had a lot of accessories which we appreciated a lot as we love to cook. They have everything you would need for a great vacation, we especially liked the premium furniture, grill and cooking equipment and the large fridge. You can also find gorgeous surrounding, fields, forests, ruins and obviously cows and goats around the house. Ideal to have some new animal friends :) The only strange thing was that the house seems to be Nicole's family home which they rent out for the summer so they have their stuff in the cabinets, images on the wall. If you are used to stay in apartments, it can be unusual for the first time. Anyway, it was a great experience, thanks Nicole for having us!

The location where the cottage is located is really nice! You have a great view of the Säntis and can start hiking directly from the accommodation. The accommodation was as described, only the curtains were a little too translucent for us. We were on site with two dogs and felt very comfortable :-)

Very nice cottage with garden, between slightly modern and old school. Beautiful nature, etc., we haven't been so relaxed in a long time, even the dog was relaxed. The bonus was the little stream that runs through the garden, especially nice for falling asleep. Highly recommended👌👍👍

We felt very comfortable in Anita's country experience. It is a rustic and cozy farmhouse that has been lovingly renovated and furnished. You can tell from many little things that it is very important to Anita that the guests feel comfortable. There was also a lovely welcome package. We were able to relax very well. In the morning, you could enjoy the first coffee on the bench in front of the house with a view of the countryside and cows. There is also a large dining table under an old tree with a beautiful view. There were also plenty of toys for the children. We say thank you from the heart and will be happy to come back.

Ladda and Philip were extremely welcoming and friendly. Felt right at home. The rooms were as expected and will definitely recommend it.

We spent 9 nights in Brigitte's apartment, which is located above Appenzell (about 10 minutes' walk from the center) on the edge of the forest and offers a wonderful view of the Alpstein. Wonderfully quiet and close to nature. The granny flat of the farmhouse has recently been tastefully and gently renovated, with the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom being new and ultra-modern, while the large living room and bedroom have been preserved in the old, characterful style. Brigitte is a very warm host. She provided us with current tips (for alpine ascents you have to get up early...;-) and answered our questions within a very short time. We were completely satisfied! There is a lot of beauty to see and discover around Appenzell: tasting alpine bitters, show dairy, baking beavers, indoor swimming pool, village tour, golf course Gonten, etc... Säntis with Schwägalp, Ebenalp with the Äscher, Kronberg and Hoher Kasten offer great hikes for everyone. Recommended.

We spent two weeks there with our 7-month-old dog and were very satisfied. Super nice apartment with fantastic pool and large garden (shared with the owners and other residents), where you can relax. Good location for hiking in the area and excursions to Austria, Liechtenstein or even Bavaria. The hosts are helpful and easy to reach if you need to know something. All in all, highly recommended 🙏🏻

Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still had a wonderful time. Nyree and her family were incredibly kind, and the house was clean and so cozy. The animals were so comforting, and my children already miss their dog Kylie. We also got to try the alpaca duvet—it was unbelievably warm!!! We’d love to visit there again!

Loved it. The apartment is practical and lovingly furnished. Everything worked well. Important to know that the stairs are very narrow and you have to be careful. But the surroundings and tranquility invite you very much to linger🤗

Ernst is very communicative and helpfull person. We traveled with baby and everything, even toys, were prepared for him. He is careful. He described us his appartment properly and was ready to help us with anything. We slept there very well. I can totally recommend Ernst!

It’s a great place, very clean, excellent amenities, and a great central location! Parking is tight and be sure everyone in your party is good with many flights of stairs. Highly recommend!!

Very nice accommodation As described. Would I go back again

In the tiny house you can completely relax in the middle of nature. The village is also good for hiking. You have everything you need. Fresh products can be bought in the farm's own shop. Very family ambience. Breakfast is put together by the hosts themselves, very tasty!

We had very much enjoyed our weekend in the house. The location is great, close to the street but very quiet, secluded and with a beautiful view. Communication was great and the check in and out clear and flexible, thank you again!

We were spontaneously allowed to spend an extended weekend in the Bijou sitterblick. The cottage and surroundings have fully met expectations. We particularly enjoyed the beautifully overgrown outdoor area. Very nice and uncomplicated hosts who nurture and maintain their cottage and the surroundings with a lot of love. Great, little cottage in the middle of nowhere – everything you need, but no running water or electricity in the cottage itself. However, you can use the toilet, shower, sockets and fountain 100m further at the house without any problems. I'd love to come back :)

****Exceeded our expectations****h the view are absolutely amazing . Ralf was very responsive and very welcoming. Wish we could have spent more time but needed to move on with our travel plans. Would definitely recommend, loved the personal touch of the very cosy chalet.

Beautiful chalet, where we enjoyed 3 quiet days. The rooms and facilities are very nicely done and everything you need is available. The cool rainy days offered the opportunity to fire up the stoves, which contributed a lot to the cozy hut feeling. If you like modern things and are still looking for simplicity, you've come to the right place. We would come back in a heartbeat.
