Family-friendly holiday rentals in Areopoli

We loved our stay at George's place in Kardamyli. The views from the balconies, the comfortable beds and walking distance to the charming town were all pluses. George was easy to communicate with and his colleague met us at the unit to show us around when we arrived. The unit was well appointed and felt very private. Highly recommended.

Το σημείο είναι μαγικό! Αξίζει να ξυπνήσετε νωρίς για να απολαύσετε την Ανατολή, είναι το ιδανικό σημείο. Το σπίτι ήταν καθαρό, άνετο . Χρειάζεται συντήρηση όμως, έστω ένα καλό φρεσκάρισμα/ βάψιμο. Επίσης δεν έχει καθόλου σημα στην περιοχή γενικώς κ το Ίντερνετ χάνεται συχνά. Ο κύριος Γιώργος , εξυπηρετικός . Κατά τ αλλα μια όμορφη διαμονή 🙂

An amazing castle like home over a very large olive gorge overlooking the ocean. Absolutely stunning scenery all around us. Home had all the amenities one would hope for and then some. Very large space for our family of 9. Pool and hot tub were a hit plus tons of games including foosball and ping ball. The upper deck was perfect for sunsets. And while we did not use they had this amazing wood fire BBQ and sitting area one could use. The location was great. We were basically on side of mountain in a secluded area but close enough to small villages and beaches. Lots of tavernas within 10 mins…4 tavernas within 1/4 mile (although 2 were closed due to slow season). Getting into Kalamata city center was about 25 mins and well worth it. Ann provided several suggestions on her Airbnb page. While there is taxi service i would highly recommend having your own vehicle Ann has a local host, Joanna, helping out and was super helpful and very responsive. Don’t hesitate to rent this place!

We had been travelling for 3 weeks and we arrived in Chrani, Peloponnese by bus very tired and looking for total relaxation for a good few days. We 100% achieved this. The view was stunning, the sea was flat like velvet and in the distance the beautiful mountains. The free umbrella’s & sun loungers on the beach a great add on & the peace and quiet was just what we needed. The sea is crystal clear & once in you don’t want to come out. The lady who cleaned was fabulous, changing sheets and towels/beach towels every 3 days, sweeping, changing bin bags & mopping everyday. She was truly a star. The other guests were people that have been coming to the same apartments for many years. Meeting friends they have met before. Very friendly, relaxed, chilled & highly recommend if you want to experience peace and quiet & beautiful scenery

Great location with incredible views.

Amazing house, super view from the balconies we took 1000 pictures! as clean as it could be! The host george and his relatives were super communicative and helpful! The location is nice but you have to own a car to tour for the beach or anywhere else! I definitely recommend it!

Fantastic experience at this location, the host were easy to communicate with and the rental was just as advertised, we had a wonderful time. They did little things that really stood out for us who travel the world a lot like having aluminum foil and Saran wrap, having Tupperware we could use and an ice pack in the freezer . We cook a lot when we travel and having a functioning kitchen is very important and they definitely had that. The gift of bananas and apples were quite tasty. there is even a nice chilled bottle of Chardonnay on the table waiting for us, but we don't drink. The dog and cats were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Perfect distance to the city and then away from all the noise. Don't forget to look for the sunset around evening time because it's quite beautiful. If we ever find ourselves on the west coast of Greece again you can believe that we will definitely rent from these guys again.

Το καλύτερο airbnb που έχω μείνει! Πεντακάθαρο και όλα αρμονικά. Φανταστική αυλή, δίπλα στην παραλία . Η κυρία Μαρία ευγενεστατη και πολύ φιλόξενη, μας έκανε να νιώθουμε σαν να είμαστε στο χωριό μας. Θα το πρότεινα με τα μάτια κλειστά, και εννοείται πως με την πρώτη ευκαιρία θα επιστρέψω ξανά!!!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au calme chez Ioannis qui nous a accueillis sur place. le site est exceptionnellement beau et la maison, très intime.

We hebben het hier heel fijn gehad. Onze 2-jarige heeft zich ook goed vermaakt: er is een mooie speeltuin, jonge poesjes en een groot grasveld waar je andere gasten kunt ontmoeten. De service was uitstekend: we konden eerder inchecken, badlakens en spelletjes lenen. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk.

Το σπίτι της Μαρίας ήταν πολύ καθαρό και φιλόξενο. Όλα λειτουργούσαν πολύ καλά. Βρίσκεται σε όμορφη περιοχή λίγο πιο έξω από το κέντρο και έτσι μπορείς να παρκάρεις εύκολα. Για ένα ζευγάρι με αμάξι θεωρώ ότι είναι ό,τι πρέπει!

Beautiful house made out of rock in the heart of Taygetos' mountain. The nature around it is amazing and there are many pathways if you want to explore the mountain. Pantelis was a great host and the whole experience was amazing.

Amazing home in a quiet and convenient location. This is a real home place- all of the special furnishings, art, and photos make this home more special. It is a walk to Gytheion and the beach in Mavrovouni Beach, about 30 minutes each way and obviously the way back is uphill- but a very nice walk (especially after eating a big meal). This area is so nice and peaceful. Avra provides anything you may need at the home- towels, cooking essentials, food, snacks and drinks! What a great place to stay!

This is the second time we've stayed here, and the fourth time in the area. It is an absolutely beautiful location. Perfect weather and everything within 10 minutes drive. The house itself has everything and is flawlessly presented. We'll be back again.

Words can't describe this place and Dia our hostess. Before we got there, Dia went above and beyond to help us with our plans, both on our travel there and during our stay. From the minute we stepped in we felt right at home. Everything you need is there and the surroundings are simply magnificent. From the view from the apartment to the private beach below. It was everything we could ask for. A true paradise we would like to keep to ourselves for future trips.. and of course Dia who made our vacation even more enjoyable and made sure we have everything we need. Thank you Dia!

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par Marina ! L’endroit est splendide. Encore mieux en vrai qu’en photo ! Marina est une hôte généreuse, souriante agréable et disponible, l’endroit est parfait pour la détente et le repos. C’est un endroit magique, paisible et inoubliable. Si nous en avons l’opportunité nous retournerons dans cette maison sans réfléchir !

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche mit unseren 2 Kindern im Apartment von Efi. Die Lage ist wunderschön, Sonnenaufgang im Bett, absolute Ruhe, 10min zu Fuß zu einem wunderschönen Strand und toller Pool in der Anlage. Efi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und war sehr zuvorkommend, der Service durch Ihre Haushälterin war toll. Ein absoluter Tip für Kletterer, die Klettergebiete von Leonidio sind in weniger als 15min zu erreichen. Vielen Dank, wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

We had an amazing stay. We had the ground floor apartment of a three storey property where Stathis family resides- even though this was the case, we had our own privacy to the grounds and the pool. The family were extremely lovely and we hardly saw them. The property was spotless and the grounds were extremely beautiful and peaceful with the fruit and herb trees surrounding the property. The kids had a great time in the pool. We loved our stay and we loved Kalamata!

Eleni and her son Nikos were great hosts. Very kind and helpful. The accommodation is very pretty and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had a peaceful and lovely holiday. Nearby are some very good restaurants and beautiful beaches. Couldn’t be better.

In 63 years I have traveled extensively, in many countries, and this was overall the most beautiful surprise of any place my husband and I have rented. Our hosts, Vincent and Jean-Claude, were present, warm, generous and responsive, and the house and location are beyond magical. We will return every year, for certain.

What an incredible oasis! We stayed at Fenia’s with our family for a few days before we got married at Petra & Fos Boutique Hotel & Spa a couple minutes’ walk away. It was idyllic! We loved our little hideaway. Fenia and the local host Dimitra were lovely and very helpful. The house is spotless and the location spectacular. Dimitra was always there to help and provided us with some local treats on arrival “. It is useful to know that you need to tell the hosts in advance if you need linens on the sofa bed on the mezzanine as they aren’t readily available. A strange smell at some points during the stay and some electrical issues but honestly neither detracted from the stay. The pool is beyond perfect and we would love to come back again!! In fact, if we could buy our own exactly the same, we would :-)
