The accommodation was the absolute highlight of our stay in the Faroe Islands. It is truly uniquely beautiful and the pictures cannot reflect the beauty of the surroundings. The house is so cozy, authentic and a place where you can relax and also feel comfortable right away. Unfortunately, the whirlpool was broken, but we were told in time and we were offered a sauna directly in front of the house instead. That was really great! We stayed for almost 2 weeks and we never got used to the view. the house itself is very nice and has everything you need. The location is the best, both for peace and quiet and to get everywhere in Faroër.

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

We greatly enjoyed our week's stay in this delightful farm cottage. After each full day's outings, it was wonderful to return to this warm, cozy cottage with its lovely views over the hills. It is described accurately on the website, is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Its location makes it easy to go anywhere on the islands. Tórður was a most helpful host. We would happily stay here again on a future visit.

A lovely experience to visit Halla's house❤️ a special and charming house history. Space is limited and it was raining outside but we had a warm and cozy time inside❤️

We had such a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful for exploring Vagar and right near the local football pitch and beach. The house is very comfortable and makes you feel at home.

Comfortable, convenience and warm in the cold weather. Had all creature comforts at hand, even boardgames, coffee and tea. a true cozy and comfortable little hideaway in the centre of a tourist interested town.

The cottage is in a beautiful location and was a very comfortable stay. Tjornuvik is a great base for exploring the islands.

A very nice and large apartment, with a very nice view, in a superb environment. Two supermarkets nearby which is very convenient. We'll be happy to go back. Easy communication with Alvur. The lockbox allows for easy check-in.

Torben is a terrific host, making sure we were set up and letting us know to get groceries in advance because the peaceful island of Nolsoy is sparsely populated and things close early. He checked to be sure we were ok without being intrusive. Directions were spot on and check out couldn’t be easier. His liberal checkout schedule is even timed to the ferries departing Nolsoy. The cozy house is shore front with views across the strait of Torshavn and is steps to walks in the village and hikes on the north side of Nolsoy island. The kitchen is freshly renovated with overly ample amenities. Abundance of kitchenware, spices and extras.

Our stay here was a true highlight of our trip. The fairytale village of Elduvík is in a stunning location, and Aksel’s cottage occupies a prime position at the edge of it with breathtaking views of the ocean and the sheer rocky flank of neighboring Kalsoy island. You are located right at the start of a flat path leading to a gorge where we enjoyed cold plunges and watched a seal which Aksel told us loves to be sung to! Elduvik is the perfect base for day trips and even hikes that start right from the village. The cottage itself was more spacious than I expected. The high ceilings with exposed birch bark were beautiful. One of us slept in the loft which was quite comfy! I appreciated the outlet and lamp right at the head of the bed. The kitchen is tiny, but we cooked several successful meals and Aksel generously lent us some cooking oil from his house next door. He also gave us some delicious Faroese salmon he had smoked himself. Book the cottage and stay as long as you possibly can.

Everything was good, it is a nice place where we had a wonderful week, and Arnfrid was very friendly, welcoming and communicative.
