Holiday houses in Astromil

By far one of the nicest 1-BR Airbnb's we've stayed at. If you like contemporary architecture, lots of space, good natural light and an uncluttered apartment, this is the perfect spot for one or two people in Porto. Very central and touristy location, but the area is great to easily walk to restaurants, along the river or a metro ride across town. Comfortable bed in the back of the apartment, so it's a nice place to get a good night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with nice tableware, a and a nice eating area. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Um excelente espaço. Uma limpeza muito grande as condições fantástica e o silêncio prevalece de dia e noite. Sempre que precisar voltarei.

It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

Simplesmente fantástico! Tivemos uma estadia incrível na casa do Rui e da Marisa. Tudo estava impecavelmente limpo, bem cuidado e com uma decoração cheia de bom gosto e atenção aos detalhes. Sentimo-nos em casa desde o primeiro momento. Adorámos o jacuzzi e, claro, o espaço da fogueira, que tornou as noites ainda mais especiais. Foi tudo pensado para proporcionar conforto e momentos memoráveis. Nota-se o carinho com que tudo foi preparado! Recomendamos a 100% e esperamos voltar no futuro. We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A nossa estadia foi simplesmente fantástica! O alojamento estava impecável, muito confortável e com todos os pormenores pensados ao detalhe. O anfitrião foi incansável — muito atencioso desde o primeiro momento, não descansou enquanto não chegámos (e chegámos mesmo muito tarde), bem como durante o dia seguinte teve a gentileza de nos contactar para saber se estava tudo a correr bem. Sentimo-nos verdadeiramente bem recebidos. Sem dúvida um local onde queremos voltar e que recomendamos vivamente. Muito obrigada por tudo! ☺️

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

This place is great! About 35 min outside of downtown Porto. Easy to find and Liana was super communicative. They left a bottle of wine, & chocolate along with robes. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, this place has everything you need! Everyone was so helpful and the place was so charming. ❤️
