What a wonderfully peaceful part of the world Paul has found. The property is set in a beautiful hamlet close to Lake Viñuela with beautiful views out over the Lake. It’s close to Los Romanes which has some local shops, bars and restaurants for convenience. It’s around 50 min drive from Malaga, with so many accessible nature parks within driving distance - we spent the entire time outside soaking it all up. The property itself is a marvel. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to return. Everything you need is provided. Paul himself was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive, offering local recommendations and tips. Our stay at Carlos and Beatriz’s villa was truly memorable. The location high in the hills above Frigiliana offers panoramic views that feel straight out of a postcard — mountains, sea, and endless sky. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated, with plenty of space to relax. The hot tub under the stars was a highlight, and we loved being surrounded by mango and avocado trees. Carlos and Beatriz were warm, responsive hosts who made everything seamless. From clear directions to quick communication, they made us feel genuinely welcome. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and a base to explore Andalusia, this is it. We’d return in a heartbeat.

My wife and I stayed for a week and we loved the villa. Sam put in touches such as a welcome food gift with wine chocolate , beer etc. she also had a box with everything that you may have forgotten to take. Ie toothbrush, scissors, sunscreen etc. The location is so peaceful. The road to the villa is a bit narrow and bumpy but once you do it a couple of times it’s no problem. A car is a necessity though. The pool is shared between her 2 villas which was no problem. Sam was very helpful and reacted to any queries we had. Definitely a place to consider for a chill out or for visiting the surrounding areas.

The place is gorgeous, right near the hilltop, with a huge garden full of plants and trees. Nine of us stayed, and it was perfectly sized. It's a big house with a massive outdoor area and a nice pool, though the stairs to the pool might be a bit tricky for kids. Getting there was a bit of a drive at first – up a winding road to Competa, then a smaller, tougher road to the house. But it's totally worth it! The views are amazing, it's so peaceful and lovely, far from the crowds. The kitchens are well-equipped, the bedrooms are large, and the living areas are classy. Competa has lots of supermarkets and restaurants with great local food; we loved eating in the main square – a truly authentic Andalusian experience you shouldn't miss.

Amazing place in the middle of the mountains. Great views, nice locations. Restaurants and Supermarket within walking distance. The house was great and clean. We felt very welcome as communication with the host was fast and easy. we will definitely come back!

There were 6 of us in the accommodation, four adults and two toddlers (2 years old) and we are all completely satisfied with the accommodation! The house was super clean, the location difficult to reach, but beautiful, private and with a great view of the mountains. The heated pool was great and was used a lot and also played, the ban on sunscreen in the pool we found a bit difficult, because especially small children should not play unprotected in the sun. Communication worked great, the hosts were always available and answered all questions. We are completely satisfied and would love to come back!

It is equipped with a great sense of aesthetics and comfort - nothing is missing here. The entire equipment is high-quality, well thought-out and left nothing to be desired. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional cleanliness - everything was well maintained and immaculate. The garden is regularly looked after by a gardener, the pool is cleaned by a pool boy - a noticeable luxury that works unobtrusively in the background. A heartfelt thank you also to Roseann, the hostess: attentive, reliable and with a fine sense of the well-being of her guests. We especially recommend this house for couples, those seeking peace and quiet and families looking for a place to recharge and simply enjoy. We'll be back.

Our stay at Bernardo’s was everything we ever wanted and more! From the moment we arrived, we couldn’t believe how perfect it all was. The location is absolutely stunning—so private and peaceful, with a beautiful garden that overlooks the hills and even the sea in the distance. It felt like a dream. The villa itself was exactly as pictured and described—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. The pool area was a real highlight—so much bigger than we expected and just perfect for relaxing in the sun. It’s only a short drive into Frigiliana and Nerja, both lovely places to visit with great food and atmosphere. We’ve already recommended Bernardo’s place to so many of our friends—several of whom are planning to book soon! Thank you, Bernardo, for an unforgettable stay. We can’t wait to come back!

This was our 2nd visit as we loved the villa the first time. Andrew & Karolina are so helpful and always available. Everything was spotless and we felt right at home. Helena who does check in is not only flexible, we asked her to do a little shop for us as we were arriving late. You couldn’t ask for a nicer villa and more fantastic hosts. We will definitely go again.

A fantastic casa with a stunning view! From the main road, it is only a few minutes' drive to the top of the hill. You have unmistakably arrived at the most beautiful place in the vast surroundings. The house is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, a great kitchen with all comforts, a very spacious bathroom and bedroom. The garden is flowery around the house, with fine terraces and sensational views everywhere. The swimming pool and surroundings are also very comfortable. The communication with Mariette went smoothly, the extensive manual contained everything you want to know and need. In short: you feel on top of the world!

Absolutely beautiful villa- it has everything you need and an amazing pool/ view. We really enjoyed our stay here- as mentioned on some other reviews the villa is on a hill so this may be an issue for some guests. However, for us the location was great, shops very nearby and a short walk from the centre/ restaurants and beach. Nicola was quick to communicate and was really helpful during our stay too!

We’ve recently returned from a wonderful stay at the villa with our family. The view was absolutely stunning and created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday. We were especially grateful that two high chairs and cots were set up and ready for our grandsons - such a thoughtful touch that made things a lot easier for us. The villa was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. Pepe was incredibly helpful and very friendly throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. A lovely stay all round!

We had a lovely 9 night stay at this villa. Surroundings are beautiful, the gardens and pool are are impressive. Kids lived in the pool and the ping pong table was a welcome surprise and got lots of use. We had many BBQs in the outdoor kitchen, and the terraces get sun all day long so perfect to relax anytime of day in sun or shade.

I wanted to thank Stefan and his staff for the professionalism and friendliness they received. Knowing that our arrival was scheduled in the morning, they anticipated the check-in by 3 hours making our entrance to the house more comfortable. The villa we booked is in a very nice and modern residential area that thanks to the surveillance makes everything safer. The villa is beautiful, modern and cozy with a breathtaking view of the bay. It is really equipped with everything you need to make your stay unforgettable. From modern and impeccable decor, to the choice of details, every little detail is perfectly in harmony with the style of the house. I recommend everyone to stay at this magnificent villa to try the wow effect of when you enter and see for the first time outside the magnificent view that extends in front of your eyes! This is our second time staying in one of Carlos’ villas and it will definitely not be our last. The villa is incredible. We were a group of 12 and there was plenty of room for everyone. All bathrooms were ensuite and the rooms were all great sizes. The house is incredibly well stocked anything at all that you could think of needing it’s there. Carlos is so easy to communicate with and provides great local recommendations. Would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone.

Fab villa - heaps of space for 5 friends. Easy walk into the local town and super easy bus into Nerja - bus stop by the roundabout and 1.30Euros!

The house in Sayalonga is absolutely a beautiful place to stay! The place looks exactly like the picture, if not better. The house is big, has everything that you need as a group and a great location with a view in the mountains, perfect to relax with family or a group of friends and enjoy the Spanish sun. Communication with the hosts is very easy, they respond very quick and are there to help or give tips. Absolutely recommend!

The villa was truly beautiful, the pictures dont do the view justice. Everything was well stocked and Helena left useful instructions. It is best to hire a car, as the hill is very steep. The pool is good, not massive but good. I would say for anyone traveling with younger children (Toddlers etc) there are a few things to be aware of, the stairs is beautiful but the top is a bit scary if you have a climber as it's fairly easy to climb. When outside there isn't a way to separate the pool area a gate for this area would be awesome. We had issues with the water going off while we were there (the whole area not a fault of the house), Helena was extremely helpful through this time, she was a very responsive host.

Beautifully located house. Very nice view. Nice pool. The house was very neat and had everything we needed. 5 minutes drive to Cómpeta and 25 min drive to the beach. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Comares, in this house with breathtaking views. We stayed there as a family, and we were able to explore Andalusia! Be careful, the distances are still quite long, but the scenery is worth it 🤗 We were greeted with great kindness. The house is located in a very peaceful location, within walking distance of the picturesque little village of Comares. We were there in February, so we had to warm up by the wood fire but still enjoyed great weather. In summary, it was a great stay!

Holger was a fantastic host who met us on arrival and departure. During the stay we had many questions about southern Spain attractions and visitor points and Holger was very helpful. He even advised us on our Tangiers trip in Morocco. A car is important for this accommodation as the supermarkets and travel spots warrant one. Saying that the Uber service and taxi service was very easy to navigate. Overall high spec property with amazing views and great host so would highly recommend.

We loved everything about our stay. The houses were both lovely, the garden, pool and outdoor seating great and the views were truly spectacular! The restaurant just down the hill was really good, especially the free shots. It's basically meat and chips which my family loved, but I'm vegetarian so I had vegetables and chips which was surprisingly delicious. We were only there for a week so didn't travel much, but when we could tear ourselves away we did visit the caves at Nerja which were brilliant and visited Comares up in the hills which was lovely. I don't usually go back to places as I like to see new ones, but I just might be tempted to go back to Wim and Dorien's house as I loved it so much!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The view and sunsets were amazing. Very peaceful but yet only twenty minutes to Nerja and Frigiliana.
