We had a great stay at the butterfly nest. The accommodation is very nice with a breathtaking view. Sandy and her employees take very good care of their guests. We have received many great recommendations for excursions and they have helped in organizing trips and excursions. We would recommend the accommodation to everyone! 😊

Fantastic view and friendly staff! We enjoy walking so the location was great for us, and it’s easy to take a tuk tuk if needed. The area is a bit noisy, there was construction going on during the day but we didn’t find it bothersome in the evenings so we could get rest. The breakfast is good, with fresh fruit and the omelette it was what we needed.

Absolutely loved our 2-night stay at Villa Joy! We're a Dutch couple and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The scenic tuktuk ride through tea fields (booked via Villa Joy) was bumpy at the end, but totally worth it — the mountain views are breathtaking. Waking up to birdsong and coffee on the terrace felt magical. The cooking class with Sakura and her warm team was a true highlight — fun, hands-on, and super tasty! The room was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with flowers. Excellent communication before and during our stay made everything easy. We left feeling recharged and cared for. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

We had an unforgettable time in the cubes at Hideout! The accommodation is truly something special - with its glamping character and the unique view of the Nine Arch Bridge, it is simply fantastic. Waking up to this view every morning was a real highlight. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful – you immediately feel welcome, and every wish is really fulfilled. Whether tips on the surroundings, food or transport: everything is taken care of! A small note: The accommodation is a bit off the beaten path, so you can't walk directly to Ella town. Even normal taxis can't get up the narrow street - but the host will always arrange a tuk-tuk driver to take you reliably. Recommendation for all those who are looking for nature, peace and something special!

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! We have never had such exceptionally friendly and warm hosts before. VJ and Tilia are unique, helpful, friendly, communicative, fun and made us feel very good and welcome. Individual wishes of our son were fulfilled and we can absolutely recommend this place. It is about 10 min TukTuk Ride from Ella. Below Ella Rock and across the street from Little Adams Peak. Nearby are great waterfalls for swimming and VJ drove us there with his new TukTuk. Breakfast was so rich that we always got a 'take away‘ box filled and had delicious snacks for the day. There was a delicious welcome tea overlooking the Ella Gap. Highly recommended again at any time.

Romance in Ella far succeeded our expectations, pictures do not give enough justice. Surroundings are beautiful and still close walk to the local restaurants and bars via train track. The design of the apartment is lovely and embraces the views surrounding. Sanjee was very friendly and quick to communicate and would arrange transport when needed. Breakfast was also delicious and served in the apartment overlooking the waterfall in the distance.

Our host was extremely hospitable, responsive and helpful. Champi and Shan (owners) treated us like their own family. They went above and beyond with travel assistance and local recommendations. If you want to try authenticatic local food, we had an opportunity to experience the home cooked food that was simply delicious! And to top it all off - a stunning private waterfall right next to the house was breathtaking! We had the whole waterfall to us alone! Highly recommend!
