Villa holiday rentals in Barão de São João

This was a fabulous townhouse, well decorated and set up very nicely. Great location right in the heart of Old Town and we were able to walk to most places. Yes, the streets are a little noisy at night but that was addressed in the description and expected; We had no problem with this. Being early May the weather was a just a little too cold for the beach so we were very happy with the addition of the hot tub. A lovely stay in Old town!

We have stayed last year and everything was great then . My feedback last year was that the beach towels were small however they have acted on the feedback and plenty of large beach towels are supplied . Clean and private spacious villa in a lovely setting . Walk to Porto de mos beach but be aware that Antonio’s restaurant is shut on Mondays .

Kingdomar’s place was perfect. Our family of 4 stayed stayed with another family of 3 and we had plenty of space. The location couldn’t be better, right next to the beach and restaurants. The house was very clean and stocked with all the essentials. We would highly recommended the place.

What a stunning view! Izabel’s and Taylor‘s villa was an amazing property with everything you could ask for including yoga mats and a fully equipped kitchen. The stunning terrace offers fantastic views of the sunset over the Atlantic ocean. Izabel and Taylor were awesome hosts who welcomed us warmly in person. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and even offered a large welcome basket with lots of local treats.

We had such a wonderful week at Villa Ocean Dreams! Giuliana’s home was even more beautiful and spacious than the photos! The location was fantastic with the beach so close and the boardwalk to walk into the marina or town right across the street. The pool and hot tub made our week even better. We spent much of our time in the comfortable gathering areas by the pool, under the shade and awnings upstairs and downstairs, or playing games in the evening at the dining table. All of the beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals for our group of five and was so well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. Giuliana was so helpful and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

Un séjour fabuleux dans une villa exceptionnelle où l’on sent que James et sa famille ont mis tout leur cœur pour créer un maison cocooning à leur image et dans laquelle on se sent bien ! De très grands espaces, un superbe jardin, très bien équipé avec des meubles et objets de grandes qualités, une décoration superbe, une literie excellente, une super cuisine ou l’on a plaisir à préparer de bons petits plats… en bref si vous souhaitez un petit coin de paradis pour vous reposer et vous ressourcer alors n’hésitez pas ! La situation géographique est parfaite pour rayonner sur toute cette zone de l’algarve… Nous garderons des souvenirs précieux de ces vacances chez James… encore 🙏

Wir haben einen Monat als Familie mit 2 Kindern in dem schönen Haus verbracht. Es hat alles was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Lisbeyond war super schnell in der Kommunikation und total unkompliziert. Absolute Empfehlung. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

The place to stay was really nice and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, it got quite windy by the pool in the afternoon. The people working there explained everything to us in really good English and they were very polite. I would definitely recommend it.

A really lovely villa, photos don’t really do it justice. It’s very spacious and there was plenty of room for our group, 6 adults and 3 young children. The pool and play area were very popular. Lisa and David were great hosts. They provided everything we needed and more and were very good with communication and info. Some lovely personal touches for our stay left in the villa too which were much appreciated. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa and hope to return again sometime.

Casa Mu is a beautiful home with zen like qualities and an expansive view. We were staying at the house during the black out. Matthijs reached out to us while the cell towers were still live and came by to open the gates manually so we could get back to the house. Yannick stopped by later in the day to give us updates. The home has a Big Green egg and we had bought charcoal the day we arrived so we were able to cook dinner. Thankfully power was down for only a short time. Casa Mu has one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve ever seen in a rental. We bought oranges and limes from a roadside stand and made fresh juice using the electric juicer. Beds are super comfortable and bathrooms well equipped. I would suggest bringing bar soap for the shower. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room to hang out both inside and outside the house. The pool is not heated, but I did go in. A bit bracing, but not too cold. For food shopping, go to Apolonia in Lagoa. Great store that has all you need

Had a wonderful 8 days at the villa. Cristina has been a wonderful host, helping us with any queries re the villa and surrounding area. The villa is fabulous, with amazing views of the beach and sea, peaceful surroundings and a beautiful pool area. It’s a 40min walk into Lagos harbour area, approx. And a 10min car drive. All the rooms were clean and minimalist which was perfect. It would have been nice to have had a shower holder/mount in our room (double that looks over the pool) as we had to use the showers in our friends rooms. The kitchen was fab and filled with all the utensils and equipment we needed. Living areas and balconies were comfortable and relaxing. Loved the neutral decor throughout. Would be more than happy to come back for a future stay. Thank you! ☺️

If you're looking for a place to stay near Praia da Arrifana, book Lyn's beautiful home - you won't regret it! We were there during a major storm, and even with poor weather we had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is very spacious and comfortably decorated, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen for cooking (a huge plus for us). The house is walking distance from the beach and the Rota Vicentina hiking trails, and there's a good supermarket just a few minutes away by car. Lyn and Mariana were very easy to communicate with and helpful...we'd love to go back some time!

Tout simplement wow! Le paradis sur Terre! Nous avons adoré loger à la villa Tiphanelli. Une propriété très bien entretenue, belle grande piscine, vue sur l’océan, à distance de marche de la Praia de Marinha. Le seul problème est que nous voulons déjà revenir! J’aime beaucoup quand les hôtes prennent soin de laisser de l’équipement/jouets pour les enfants. Ma fille de 2 ans était tellement contente de découvrir que les gens qui nous avaient prêter leur maison avaient penser de laisser des jouets aux enfants!! J’apprécie la présence de gel douche, shampoing et revitalisant dans les douche. L’extracteur à jus 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 Nous nous sommes fait des jus d’orange fraîchement pressé à tout les matins. Un vrai régale avec les délicieuses oranges du Portugal. Nous avions lu que la villa pouvait être difficile à trouver, mais puisque j’ai localisé la villa sur Google Map avant d’arriver, nous n’avons eu aucune difficulté à trouver. Je recommande à 200%

Beautiful house and surroundings. We arrived late at night, by car from Faro airport, approx 1 hour drive. Found it easily and checking in to the property was straightforward. Very spacious for our family of four with teenagers, plenty of inside and outside areas to be together or to find your own space. Very clean and modern, with lovely garden and terraces. The property is quite high with beautiful views, not overlooked. It is very cleverly designed so that you can sit in the sun or shade and if breezy you can still find sheltered spots. Kitchen very well equipped, and we used the BBQ. Pool is lovely and was heated by arrangement. Pool has steps at one end then gets deep quite quickly so may not suit small children, but perfect for us. Plenty of beach choices, supermarket, fuel and restaurants just a short drive. You do need a car. The house is on a golf course with other similar properties nearby but it was very quiet with lots of space and felt very private. We loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at Susana’s place. The accommodation was beautiful and spotlessly clean (very happy to let my little one crawl around on the floors it was so clean!). Much bigger than the photos. Pool area was very peaceful. Lots of amenities without being cluttered. Well stocked kitchen and generous welcome pack. Restaurants and beautiful beaches within walking distance. Great communication and very helpful host. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

From first booking we had excellent communication with the owners. We decided to get the pool heated and use there transfer service. The pool was a good temperature on arrival and the transfer was excellent service. We were greeted at the villa by Pavel (Villa manager), he was very friendly, he showed us the working of the villa and what the area had to offer locally. We did have an issue with the A/C, we made contact with Pavel and the issue was sorted within a few hours (great service). Everything that was advertised on the listing page described the villa exactly. I would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to a return holiday at the villa.

We booked Filips place quite last minute but he was very responsive and helpful so everything went well finding the house. Upon arrival he greeted us, showed us around and kept being very responsive during our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful house and it's quiet location very much and would happily book the house again should we decide to travel to Algarve again.

We had a really nice time at this Airbnb. The place was just as advertised—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The beach was stunning and only a short walk away, which was perfect. The heated pool was a nice bonus, especially with a 6-year-old, and the whole property was well-kept. The area was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. The host was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everything went smoothly, and we’d happily stay here again. A solid choice for a relaxing getaway! A few tips, the best food in Lagos is Tasca do Kiko, also there is a cafe called Everyday People cafe, perfect for breakfast.

Gavin and Estelle were excellent hosts, Estelle was on site for the luggage drop off and both communicated very well and responded very quickly. With two grandchildren travelling with us, all our needs were met without any fuss. Would definitely recommend Gavin and Estelle and the Villa Aurora, would definitely stay there again. Bonjour, Nous avons adoré cette maison avec de la place pour tout le monde, sa terrasse avec une très belle vue et son emplacement, à coté d'une très belle plage. Par contre nous avons payé 250 € pour le chauffage de la piscine, mais la pompe à chaleur n'a jamais démarrée car le niveau d'eau était sous les skymers. Nous avons demandé le remboursement mais sans résultat. Et ça c'est un gros point noir., sans parler de la venue des hommes d'entretien de celle-ci qui sont rentrés dans la propriété sans prévenir et sans sonner.
