Cabin holiday rentals in Barren River Lake

We loved this place, we only wish we could have stayed longer. It far exceeded our expectations and was absolutely what we needed. Peaceful, clean, comfortable, well stocked, with plenty of places nearby to go and adventure! We appreciated Greg and Judy’s attentiveness and our boys loved the little arrival gift they left for us. Thanks Greg and Judy! We plan on coming back, hopefully before too long!

Beautiful! It was quiet, away from the city and the cabin is very cute. We loved staying there!

This was a great place for a big group. If you plan to make your own food, the kitchen has all the tools, dishes, pan, etc. - everything you need. The saloon was fun and the beds comfortable. Free firewood and a nice fire ring. Be aware that while it was close to the lake it was about a 40 minute drive to Diamond Cave and about 1 hour to Mammoth Cave visitors center. Scenic drive. Also, no restaurants, Walmart or large grocery store nearby that we could find. Some groceries at I65, about 1/2 hour away. We brought our own food and loved to quiet ambiance. I would definitely come back again.

The cabin is spacious and well decorated, so it feels like home from the very first step, and was an excellent place to unwind and reconnect.

We had a great stay at the cabin. The kids enjoyed the downstairs area with their bedroom, pool table, darts and access to the back yard. We fished out back and had no luck but caught lots of fish at the boat ramp down the road. The host was very responsive.

Our stay was perfection! If you are looking for a home with incredible attention to detail, private, and peaceful - this is it!

Jamie’s place was exactly what we needed for our visit to Bowling Green. We were traveling with family, and the home was spacious enough for everyone in our group! The kitchen was well-stocked, which was important to us. Jamie was so helpful and responsive to messages and questions.

Great stay in Cub run with Hari! this cabin is seriously one of the most beautiful we've ever stayed in. worked for our little group. while we wish there was better lake access, you can't deny how beautiful the surrounding area is and once everything gets cleaned up from the floods I'm sure the closest lake access points will be back in action. really enjoyed easy connection to Mammoth cave, on both sides of the park, and several of the local restaurants.

We enjoyed staying at this historic home. The host was quick to respond and even kept us updated on severe weather that was headed to the area. We would definitely love to stay there again.

This is a beautiful, clean, and well appointed cabin. Lora was so kind to check in and make sure we had all we needed after our arrival, but the place was already perfect and we felt right at home. We stayed during the summer which was great for easy access to Barren River Lake, but this would also be an amazing winter rental with the cozy look of the cabin and the two fireplaces. Thank you Lora for hosting us!

I wish there were more stars to give! We could not have had a better experience. Grace and Martin are amazing hosts and a joy to be around. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Loved getting to know all of the animals! Their dogs are so sweet even my son who is afraid of dogs started to relax around them. If you have a chance to create some art with Grace you should take it!! My 6 and 7 year old are showing everyone they meet their beautiful pictures. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a very cute place! There was games and corn hole available. Very nice place. Hosts were amazing and made sure our experience was personal.

The cabin at Cub Run was a perfect get away for our family! It is a beautiful, clean cabin with everything we needed and more! Kevin was great with communication and we had all of our check in and check out information in a timely manner. It was about a 45 minute drive to the Mammoth Cave visitor center and we loved sitting around the campfire in the evening. There are neighbors nearby but it was very peaceful and quiet. If we head back to the area we would definitely stay there again!

Cabin was very nice and secluded even though it was just a couple miles from town. Everything was convenient to get to. The cabin had everything we needed to cook. Loved being able to sit on the back deck with our morning coffee and also played games in the evening with the kids. Would highly recommend this place if you’re in the area looking for a quiet place to stay in the woods.

This cabin is in a quiet and peaceful setting. There is plenty of space for walking and exercising the dog. The pavilion down the hill looks like it’s for the 3-4 homes on the street and has a television, grills, chairs, and a fridge. The porch overlooking the river is nice and always cool. There was a cute bird who had built a nest there. The kitchen is well-stocked with plates, bowls, and pots and pans. The host was always very responsive and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit here.

Our stay at Karen's place exceeded our expectations. Karen was an excellent hostess and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. Her house was beautiful, extremely clean, well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and in a bucolic location.

Jonathan's cabin is set in a quiet area next to a creek, it is a comfortable and relaxing place. We love how quiet it is and sitting on the porch listening to the water flow is very relaxing. The house his fully equipped with all of the necessities. This is our 2nd stay and we will definitely return in the future!

Words cannot describe the beauty, peace, and serenity this place offers! It’s a Perfect and Gorgeous piece of land that makes you feel in touch with mother nature. The owners are truly lucky to live in such a magical wonderful place. You too could enjoy this one of a kind getaway. We totally recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the middle of a wonderful piece of land in southern Kentucky with everything you would ever need within the Farm House. You can drive to anything with an extra few minutes like Bowling Green restaurants,, beach Bend, mammoth Cave, Corvette Museum or simply stay and enjoy the beauty of the land…… The owners are Top Notch, friendly and very helpful with anything you would ever need to make your stay perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at Peggy’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, Peggy made us feel right at home with her warm welcome , she even brought us farm fresh eggs and homemade bread, which was such a lovely touch. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The camp-style community added to the charm and made the experience feel unique and peaceful. Peggy and her husband were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always available if we needed anything. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts ,highly recommend staying here!

What a unique experience! Surprised the kids with a couple nights here on our trip out west! So fun with the animals, pond and boats! Easy access to mammoth cave too! We were very happy with the decision to stay at pioneers paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay! We loved the cabin, perfect size for the 2 of us. It was so clean and neat and so peaceful! Great location, close to all the caves and other attractions and also other nearby towns.

From the communication with the hosts, the location and presentation of the cabin, my experience was wonderful. Cheyenne and Doug answered all of my questions faster than I even thought they would each time and they were descriptive with their answers. The place was exactly what the pictures showed and what was posted. It was very clean and clear of clutter. The pond provided me with good fishing opportunities. I caught, catfish, bass, crappie, and bluegill. I would definitely recommend this place as a place to book and I plan on booking it again myself in the future. Thanks Cheyanne and Doug, for sharing your place. It provided me with serenity.

The only problem we had was being willing to leave! This was by far the most amazing and perfect place we’ve ever stayed. All our needs were anticipated and met. House and location was perfect!
