Beachfront holiday rental in Bass Coast Shire

Thanks Fi for a fabulous stay! Your place had something special for everyone and was truly a well equipped ‘home away from home’. Our only regret is that we didn’t book longer! Hopefully we are lucky enough to return again one day for longer 😊 Thanks also for being an amazing host and for promptly answering all the questions I had too. You were such a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Fi and her ‘surf beach’ getaway.

Unpretentious older house about a 5 min drive into Cowes. Private access to beach. Wallabies and birds came up to the back fence for a feed. Possums ate our Easter eggs in the backyard on Easter Sunday morning egg hunt! We loved Richard’s house. It has a great vibe and plenty of space for three kids, five adults and our dog. Kids loved the table tennis. It was good to be away from the crowds in the Main Street. Beautiful walks along the beach which was so accessible. Richard and crew were great to communicate with.

I loved Merelle’s stunning light filled and perfectly decorated mid century beach house and wish I could have stayed forever! It had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay from the well equipped and stocked kitchen to the comfortable chairs in the sitting room around the fireplace , canoes /kayaks and beach chairs , washing machine/dryer and old hills hoist and outdoor setting as well as a functional yard for our dog. She has incredible style from the beautiful linen to the retro furnishings and is very eco friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with, responsive and friendly and very generous with early check in and late check out without even having to ask. And the area has so much to offer / so much to see and do on the Peninsula all within a half hour drive. I will be back for sure! Thank you Merelle 😁

My friend group of 10 and myself absolutely loved out stay at this place. The house was everything we wished for and more. It was in such a fantastic location within walking distance to everything we needed (shops, beach, etc) and the house itself was incredible. So much to do inside with lots of options including pool table, table tennis, basketball, swing set, xbox and more. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Great place with a view of the Bass Coast to the south with sunset, and to the north with sunrise from the master bedroom. Within walking distance of the Kilcunda Trestle Bridge for photographers. Convenient base for exploring the Bass Coast from Phillip Island to Inverloch and beyond. Vicky provides helpful descriptions of the local restaurants and grocery stores in the area making it super easy to get set up. I will be back as I could only stay a few days and still have lot's of exploring to do.

Jessica's place was big and modern, with a balcony view of the ocean - about a 2 min walk to the sea, and lovely morning light. A short drive into Cowes, and a good base for a Philip island stay and visit to the penguins and blowhole... She was incredibly responsive and accomodating - which is not always the case with airbnb hosts , so I welcomed that. Thank-you! It would suit a larger group as the living space is grand. One thing I would consider about the three bedrooms downstairs is that the heating downstairs does not really stretch to all of the bedrooms, and the bedding provided was quite light. While perfect for Summer, the bedrooms did not have individual heating, so we were glad to have sleeping bags and spare blankets in our cars to stay warm. Overall, I'd love to come back with a group and have a great base for Summer, or anytime...

Hi Deb! Today we left your wonderful house unfortunately after 6 weeks. We had a phantastic time and didn’t want to leave… We got in contact with so many nice people in Surf Church and Baptist Church. The Catholic School was also wonderful for our son. We loved Surfing at Smiths Beach, hiking at Pyramid Rocks, swimming at the Beach at your House with the black swans, Jogging at Silverleaves and writing a Book on the terrace of your House with the Most wonderful panoramic view ever!!! How can I now live without it?

We had a wonderful weekend away - such a beautiful spot with lovely views out to the water but still able to be cosy by the fireplace! The house was very clean, and had everything we could have possibly needed! Look forward to staying again in the future :)

We have stayed at Jodie's place 2 or 3 times now, my kids love it, we walk to the beach in the morning and if hot enough, pool for rest of the day. It has everything that suits us as a family including the oval and skate park across the road.

The accommodation was a perfect size. Main bedroom is great, large with its own bathroom and enclosed outside area. Shared bedrooms maybe a bit small but they're just for sleeping anyway. Plenty of living space, an extra area for kids. Lots of toys and games and a billiard table. The swim spa wasn't heating for us but Chris the host did warn us due to unforeseen circumstances and offered a refund if we wished to cancel. Very close to a beautiful enclosed beach, not very busy and good for swimming. Far enough away from 5he bustle of Cowes centre but close enough to walk or drive in for supplies. Chris was very prompt in replying. Overall, a very good experience and I recommend this accommodation for groups or families. Thank you Chris for offering your place.

The place was very comfortable and extremely handy being close to everything. Sally was very obliging to all our requests. We would fully recommend this place to anyone who is considering staying there!

This was my second time of booking Elle & Andrew’s house, the first time was with my family , and this time was with a small group of girlfriends. The house was perfect for both occasions. The house was spotlessly clean , spacious & the pool & spa were again a highlight. Everything was there we could possibly need , so we could relax & enjoy the weekend. Elle & Andrew were sensational hosts, very responsive & nothing was too much trouble . All my friends thought the house was simply amazing & can’t wait to go back . Thanks for having us .

We had a wonderful stay at Maria's. A few issues with the spa, but Maria was fast at responding and very helpful. It was so close to the beach, and a lovely cafe. And Wonthaggi had everything else we needed. We will definitely be staying here again. 😊

What a lovely spot. Calm and quiet with amazing ocean views. Lots of good cafes and restaurants at your doorstep.

This was hands down the *best Airbnb* we’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The property is **beautifully maintained** and **fully equipped** with everything we could possibly need – the kitchen had all the essentials (and more!), the living spaces were cozy, and the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable. Our kids absolutely *loved it here* – they haven’t stopped talking about the stay since we left! The space was so family-friendly, safe, and had plenty of room for them to play. It’s rare to find a place that keeps both adults and children this happy. The host was wonderful – responsive, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcomed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a **perfect home away from home**, especially with kids, look no further. We’ll definitely be returning! This place was amazing! Very easy to find, very quiet. Perfect for if you want to spend your time relaxing. Perfect location, only a short 6 minute drive into town or right outside is a bus stop if you wanted to get public transport into town, really can’t get much better than that. This place was so worth the money, it’s much bigger than what appears in the photos and has everything you could possibly need. Definitely will stay here again.

Our family loved staying at the Barefoot Beach House - the house contained everything that needed for a family stay (the caravan cubby was a huge hit with the kids) and there was plenty of space to spread, but still be connected. Location so close to the beach was amazing. Definitely a place to return to!

We had a wonderful week at Ventnor. Jillian's home has the most incredible views and the house was one of the best appointed for all our needs - the welcome basket of snacks and biscuits most appreciated. You will have a great beachfront time away here !

Lynette’s place is wonderful. So many unique touches. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach! She had everything we could have needed and more. Kids books, toys, cot, bikes and heaps of outdoor games for them. It was such a special place and one we hope to return to someday.

5/5 - Wonderful Stay We had a fantastic stay at Phil’s place. The place is exactly as described. The location is perfect for someone who is into the peaceful sea. Phil is incredibly kind and responsive, always proactive to provide instructions and available to answer questions. We really appreciate the assistance Phil provided throughout the stay. If we thinking going to Cowes again, we will absolutely pick Phil’s place again and we do recommend this beautiful place to anyone who planning to visit Phillip Island.
