The Cottage on the Green

The Cottage is situated on the backside of an acre parcel behind the main house. A swimming pool separates the main house from the cottage. The property is very quiet, peaceful and private. Guest have a Separate entrance. We are a retired lieutenant from a California LE agency and his wife a retired teacher who give guests as much privacy as requested. We are a short distance from the Longleaf Trace and 1.5 miles from the Barn at Bridlewood wedding venue for those attending a wedding there.

I rented both of Allies units so our family would have room to spread out and it was perfect. Very comfortable beds and the ceiling fans kept the temperature very comfortable. Allie provided perfect clear instructions on entrance and all through the house. Barbara greeted us and was so friendly. We will stay again when we are in the area.

We booked it because of its location and capacity. It’s a huge house with lots of beds, bathrooms and space to stretch out. Jennifer is very accommodating and nice to work with. It was perfect for my family attending a wedding at a local venue.

The Goat Shed was an amazing place to stay. It was very clean on the inside and out. The hostess husband was very nice and welcoming. I’m an outsider so the animals were pretty nice to be around. Also, where it’s located its country living . but, wasn’t too far from gas stations, restaurants, and other fun activities. Overall everything was a 10/10. I would love to visit again.

We loved this little cozy cabin and absolutely hated to leave! It was so peaceful outside with an incredible view of a beautiful pond! We walked around the place and my son did a little catch and release fishing which was fun! The outdoor grill area and fire pit was a nice set up as for outdoor grilling and s’mores! The beds were very comfortable as well! If you plan to check in late at night just be aware that the cabin is not located exactly at the address that Airbnb gives. It’s really dark out there so you may not be able see the pond that the cabin is located next to. Depending on which direction you are coming from it could be just before or just after the address listed. We highly recommend this cabin if you’re needing a place to stay in the area!
