While having a friend visiting from the busy city of Fort Worth Tx, and having never been to Virginia, John’s place was everything and more. Perfect for a quiet nature surrounded vacation and privacy to match. Very responsive host, great nearby restaurants, and near the beautiful SML. Great place to end a great trip! Will book again in the future

We loved our stay here! Upon arrival we were met with a perfectly clean place alongside free snacks and other amenities. The unique style of the cabin by itself made it a fun stay but combined with how well kept Gretchen had the place and all the fun things to do in the cabin made it an outstanding stay.

This place is amazing, the chalet was very clean and had everything needed for a nice get away. It’s located in a beautiful area with lots of farm life and is extremely peaceful and secluded. The hot tub is located in a perfect spot to either watch stars or the sunrise. Overall it was an awesome experience and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway. The host Coy was friendly and respectful and he responded very quickly to all questions.

My wife and I were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to just sit and relax for a few days. This property was exactly what we were looking for. We also got to enjoy watching several deer come in on the front grass area. Added bonus. Someone mentioned Woodruf’s Cafe and Pie Shop. We are so glad we stopped in there. We would stay here again.

Place was as described very private and secluded. We really enjoyed it, we came with the dog the one thing to note it is in the woods so there were a lot of ticks but other than that it was very pleasant stay.

This was one of my favorite AirBnB experiences I have ever had (and my group confers!) This 1900s cabin was the perfect unplugged adventure get-away for us. Jeff was very helpful and kind in hosting, called us in advance to let us know there would be extra firewood there and even told us some of the best hikes, stores, restaurants, and local wisdom. The cabin has a kitchen and bathroom addition on the back that help make the place more modern and easy-living while the main living room and bedroom loft hold so much character still with their original hardwood floors, active wood-burning fire place for warmth, and cozy feel. We felt so blessed to have gotten to stay here, especially with it being Liberty Graduation weekend- it was only a 35 minute drive to-and-from campus/Lynchburg and ONLY 6 MINUTES from sharp top mountain trailhead. We also stopped at The Well in Bedford for some loose-leaf teas/apothacary supplies and the Bridge Street Cafe for coffee. HIGHLY recommend staying here!!

Had a great time! Not far from several towns. Close to the Otter Lake which is a great walk. The cabin was well-maintained, and had everything we needed.

Overall, I highly recommend staying here as it has beautiful surroundings, is adjacent to the river, and you get a true taste of Virginia. There are also some traditional fixtures in the home which add to the experience, as well as some awesome mounts in the laundry room!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here! Jane provided detailed instructions, was quick to respond to messages, and was a very gracious host. As she mentions in the description, cell service is hard to get, but I did consistently have one bar on the second floor, and the wifi worked reasonably. For a spacious place that accommodates a large group (even littles), I highly recommend Jane’s cabin!

The cabin was perfect! The surroundings were beautiful and it was just the right size for our family. Beatrice was very helpful and had everything clearly laid out. More than anything, we enjoyed being outside and bird watching!

This cabin was the perfect spot for celebrating my husband's 50th birthday with our whole family! Our three children and their families came, bringing along our six grandsons, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved the location, which felt secluded and peaceful, yet was still close enough to local attractions. The kids had a blast exploring the game room, and we all enjoyed gathering around the front porch. It was truly a memorable vacation, and we highly recommend this cabin for large family gathering!

Everything was so perfect here! Christina even had fresh cut flowers in the cabin for us! We were so impressed with the cabin and property but the outside shower was the absolute best! We loved sitting outside listening to the frogs at the pond also. The cabin is near the Natural Bridge,James River and the Application trail, just to name a few of the activities around the area. We will be talking about this amazing stay for years to come!

This cozy cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is rustic, quiet, clean in a peaceful country setting. It was just as pictured with our host Crystal having an easy check in/out process while maintaining our privacy. We really enjoyed this stay.

We loved our stay at Andy’s place! It was well-located for hiking (Sharp Top and Apple Orchard Falls were our favorites) and getting to town for groceries, a few meals out, etc. Sitting on the porch was lovely and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking at the cabin. Would definitely recommend to others as well as stay here again ourselves!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at this location. Wonderful design and cozy accommodations. The owners have really thought of everything. We are hoping to make it an annual stay now that we know about it. We could have easily relaxed and enjoyed another day if we didn't have plans hours away for later in the weekend. 10/10 recommend.

Grateful for a wonderful stay! Directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow. The location is convenient to Peaks of Otter, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. I appreciated how clean and well appointed the AirBNB was and I enjoyed a very quiet and comfortable night of sleep. I hope to come and stay again sometime.

The cabin in the state park land was in such a beautiful location. Our kids explored the grounds, played in the creek, and caught fire flies at night. Our hosts had the fire pit fully stocked and ready to be lit for our first night there. There was plenty of dishes and silverware stocked in the kitchen and plenty of eating room. There was a table outdoors on porch and medium round table inside the kitchen. While there was only 1 bathroom for eight of us staying, the shower was in a seperate room from the toilet and sink which made it nice for getting a large group ready for the day. Sitting in the sun room at night listening to the creek was very peaceful. If you are looking for a true cabin home experience in the peace and calm of the woods, this is the home for your stay. Our hosts were so accomadating, kind, and responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
