If you're looking for 5 star luxury, and marble bathrooms...then 'Patricia' isn't the place for you! What you will love is the welcoming and inviting spaces. My mum 'Patricia' was pretty quirky, and so is this whimsical place. 100 years old, and an Alphington institution...this adorable shopfront is one of the areas most loved and iconic buildings. Easily one of the best AIRBNB’s I’ve stayed in. Sarah and Hal were excellent hosts, friendly, helpful but never intrusive. The room and ensuite were very clean and beautifully decorated, and the home warm and characterful. I would highly recommend this place on your travels to Melbourne.

I stayed for eleven days and felt very welcome. After my night flight, I was able to check in early and rest – much appreciated! The location is great, with a bus stop right outside and easy access to tram, bus, and train with a Myki Card. Lasanthi and her husband are kind and helpful, always available but respectful of your privacy. Everything is clean and well-organized. There’s a fridge, microwave, toaster and a private bathroom. Heating works well and you can use their washing machine if needed. I’d definitely stay again!

Julie was such a lovely, accommodating host throughout my stay in Melbourne. The entire place really has that quaint Victorian style, making you feel like right at home. The neighbourhood was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a light sleeper like me. And Ruby, what a cutie and a great joy to be around, especially when I was cooking in the kitchen XD. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Melbourne.

Beautifully decorated place. Everything was just as shown in the photos. Helen, the host was very helpful. Very modern and has everything you need for a home away from home. I had a great room with two beds and a separate little section for a couch. The bathrooms were all very modern, clean and sleek.
