Beachfront holiday rental in Berrien County

We had such a great time! It was in a perfect location and close to everything. The space was super cute and comfy. We will definitely be staying again!

Our family had such a great time here and we were super impressed by this house! Everything was even better than in the photos. The house is really a cool vibe and is super well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, and lots of games. The beach was so beautiful and we could count on one hand how many other people we saw on the beach during our four days there - super peaceful and private! We hope to be back again soon!

This was our first time staying in the area, and I would say it didn’t disappoint (even though we caught a frigid weekend). The house was nice, clean, and offered amazing views. The host was very responsive. The rental stated it had a fire place (which was gas) but we weren’t able to get them turned on and we didn’t really want to risk it. The house had pretty much anything and everything you would need. The beach access from the house was closed off due to dune repairs, which was a bummer and would have been nice to know ahead of time, but host was able to let us know of public beach access in New Buffalo which was a 10 minute drive with a cool little down town area. 100% would recommend a visit to Farmette, Beer Church Brewing, and Maple City Roasters.

A very comfortable, cozy home on the water. All of our guests raved about the home and location. It's really a home, not just a house, and we felt almost like we were staying at a friend or relatives home. You can feel the family spirit in this place, and it's a good feeling.

Beautiful location that feels secluded. Pool table and poker table are a great touch, and yhe lake is not heavily populated. The kayaks available were very relaxing on a nice day.

Wish there were a few games/books/activies in the unit other than that great place clean and modern.

We had a quick visit, only two nights, so we didn’t get to enjoy as much of the property as we were hoping. The walk to the beach is woodsy, easy and beautiful. The place itself was nice with coffee and plenty of linens, as well as little cereal bar breakfast on Saturday morning. It was just my husband and I and it suited our needs just fine. The guidebook was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and more and we enjoyed reading a little about the history of the property. We had no issues arise during our stay and I would recommend The Neighborhood in New Buffalo to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.

We loved how close the beach of Lake Michigan was. The pools were heated and great. The boys loved the fishing and hunting for unique rocks. And, they brought all their stuff to play video games on the TV. We use the griddle to make breakfast and my daughter door dashed Starbucks every day. Just keeping it real. We had some great local meals as well. If you are looking for a special occasion meal that is close by and you can spend more for the great seafood, steaks and ribs then make Reservations at Grande Mere Inn. We noticed a favorite from the guest book was SilverBeach Pizza in St Joe and it was good. We ordered traditional and a bit of the unique topping flavors. We also ate in St. Joseph at Bucks Bugers and Brew. Great burgers and onion rings. Just a heads up, all theses chalets are built as duplex so, you may have neighbors you can hear talking out on the enclosed patio. Our shower was a small one and you want to lay down a towel to catch leaks. Wel oved our last minute vaca.

Beautiful location with a great setup for a weekend getaway to visit wineries and enjoy the lakeshore. Highly recommend Ben’s place and the surrounding area.

Our stay at The Neighborhood was perfect. The 3 bedroom unit had plenty of room and having the kitchen was a huge bonus. The extra amenities with laundry and the shared living room definitely were helpful. We loved our stay and will be back.

This location could not have been more perfect. Every detail was thought through and my expectations were exceeded. This was one of the nicest Airbnb’s that I have ever stayed at. The pictures matched the description, it smelled clean and fresh and everything was upscale. Most importantly it was peaceful and I slept great. Thank you for the most relaxing stay!

Really enjoyed the cottage for our family of four. The place is walking distance to the beach and a local playground. We enjoyed staying in nature but being able to drive to New Buffalo for restaurants or other things. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

The most adorable cottage and getaway for my husband and I! I am picky and this one checked all the boxes. We loved being right across the street from the private access beach, walkable to Whistle Stop, comfortable and super clean accommodations - everything feels well thought out from the sheets to the design choices and we appreciated all of the details. We will definitely be back!

I am still going to give a 5 star review regardless of a couple issues we had. First of all the house, amenities, and outside area are excellent and as described. The location feels very private and it is what we were looking for. We had 3 total issues during our stay, and 2/3 minimum were outside of the owner's control. During our drive in the Benton Harbor area had 60-70mph straight line winds that blew the outside furniture into the driveway. This storm also caused water to bypass a window and get the floor a bit dirty. Owners drove out early next morning and replaced outdoor furniture and I wiped up the water in the house. In the morning we realized the hot water was out. Owners immediately drove back out and investigated. They happened to have a property that was vacant at the time, and gave us access to it to drive there and shower. Overall communication and response was excellent. Owners made us whole, and I would recommend.

We absolutely loved this place and our stay. The lake views were more beautiful than the photos could show, the chalet is comfortable and well-stocked, and there was so much to do in the community that we didn't even scratch the surface. We loved the beach area which wasn't crowded at all, even on Labor Day weekend. We drove in to St. Joseph for dinner and to go to ur favorite shops - super easy drive. The walk to the beach was so short we didn't even take a lunch out there, just popped up to the house whenever we needed a restroom break or a snack. We never needed to contact Ben but got plenty of communication beforehand and the manual in the house provided info of how to text him if we needed to. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

The "tiny home" fit our needs just fine. The screened porch, campfire and gas grill added a nice evening activities. The shared pool is lovely and we were always in it alone!
