My wife and I came into town for a graduation and stayed five nights. The property was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Amazing walking trails, very close to downtown with bars and restaurants.. The view of the river was really the highlight for us, escaping city life for a peaceful riverfront retreat. The house was well equipped and we needed for nothing. Tons of space and friendly neighbors. We saw plenty of wildlife and watched boaters go up and down the river. We will be back and look forward to staying here for years to come. I was born and raised and the town and never saw this great riverfront location.

The Walnut house does not disappoint . I've stayed here several times. After a long journey, it's great walking into a clean, beautiful cozy home. Sitting in the backyard was so peaceful, going downtown is "a must do". The beds are comfy, the kitchen spotless and it had everything we needed. The home is so nicely decorated, with plenty of space for our little gatherings. Susan is amazing to work with, always gets back to me right away, she made a special accommodation for me! These are just a few of many reasons why I keep booking this sweet gem, The Walnut House!

Very wonderful views of the river, peaceful and tranquil setting. Not on a main road so very quiet. Lovely outdoor space with two picnic table, chairs, and a swing. We also really enjoyed the sunroom. The living room and dining room as well as one bedroom and the bathroom are on the main floor. The media room, two bedrooms, and a half bath are upstairs. For those with mobility issues, note that there are steps to get inside the house and steps between the living area/kitchen and the dining room.
