Woodcutter’s Cottage - Magical riverside location

HelenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I cannot overstate how amazing this place is. I was looking for an escape into the woods and it was exactly what I wanted. The setting of the cottage is stunning, right on the river and surrounded by trees. It feels remote, even though it's only a short walk into the village. The welcome was really friendly, you can tell that the owners are very active in their community and have put together loads of local info. I particularly liked the map of the community forrest which made me feel confident enough to explore walks by myself. The cottage itself is beautifully kept, with everything that you need, and then some. I didn't want to leave.

Magical woodland hideaway

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just back from a magical night away with my 6 year old daughter. A beautiful, interesting place to stay. We had hot dogs and marshmallows by the outdoor fire, hot chocolate by the indoor shower, read books, played games, and perhaps the highlight of it all - a morning dip in the river accompanied by an otter! Clare’s communication was great and we had everything we needed.

Yr Hen Stabl

Kai YinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was ideal for the three of us hiking friends for a long week away. The location is excellent—very close to the waterfall hikes and well connected by our own transport to various routes, including Pen y Fan, the south coast, and even Cardiff, which is just under an hour’s drive. We found that the cottage actually looks better and more stylish in real life than in the photos. It's tastefully decorated, combining old-time charm with modern touches—never going overboard or becoming kitschy. It also includes all the usual appliances and conveniences. We were lucky that Jennet found the time to treat us to her homemade Welsh cakes—an absolute delight! She also provided us with plenty of tips tailored to our interests, especially for hill walks and hiking, as well as great recommendations for local restaurants and eateries. Glynneath itself is a charming village—perhaps not the most lively in Wales, but perfectly adequate, with local supermarkets and takeaway options if needed.

Greenacre Cabin with private hot tub

StevenRating, 5 starstoday
Danielle from start to finish was really helpful with any questions I had no matter how silly. I booked the cabin as a birthday gift for my partner. After which I booked the extra champagne package, birthday package and afternoon tea. Danielle had it all set up amazingly and to see the smile on my partners face because of that was priceless to see. Also if you like animals the super friendly horse, sheep, cats and dogs will be right up your street as they say. I highly recommend going there. Thanks Danielle really appreciate it. Also please thank your legend of a husband for helping us with our broken down car on the day we were due to leave. I can’t thank you both enough for everything and no doubt in the future we would like to come back 😊

Place was lovely, really clean and well organised. Off road secure parking which was fab! Great hub to get to the Brecons, we did multiple hikes & explored the area. Valentina is really proactive with her communication and made it so easy. Plan to come back and would recommend to friends!!

Beautiful 1 bedroom apartment with outdoor dining

DavideRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Such a great accommodation for spending a few days in the area. The apartment is clean, modern, perfectly equipped, comfortable, quiet and private. Easy access to the Brecon Beacons, as well as Swansea. Lucy and David are the ideal hosts: thoughtful, responsive, friendly and accommodating. It was my second stay at the apartment, I'll definitely be staying again.
