Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Blato

This place is beautiful. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We saw the stars and heard owls at night. Has everything you need to make breakfast and do some basic cooking if you can be bothered, but there's lots of places to eat in the likes of Bol, with quite a few still open in the shoulder season. It is next to another kind of boutique hotel/airbnb thing but you're still afforded relative privacy from the terrace. Marijan gave us solid instructions on how to get there, but we still drove past the turn off so better to get there in daylight if you can. You will need a car. All in all such an amazing stay, the island of Brač has so much to offer, and this is a particularly idyllic spot. Thank you!

One of the best hosts! We arrived pretty late and she was responsive to us even at such late hour and was very careful that we arrived and had a pleasant stay. She helped us with suggestions for places around and also gave us a little gift. That was very thoughtful of her and her hospitality was on top, I felt like I was at my own home. The location was very great. The house was exactly like in the pictures and it was a total steal. I really enjoyed my 5 days in Korcula thanks to Ivana! 100% suggested, if you find it available for your desired dates this is the only option you should consider and you will not be disappointed!

We were two adults in Nikolina's house for seven days. The house is small, but absolutely beautiful and authentic. With a beautiful view of the bay. The house is not as shielded from view as we thought, because there are two houses on each side and a jetty quite close to Nikolina's house and jetty, and there is a path from the neighboring houses that goes right next to the outdoor shower. But if you're looking for a quiet place, this is perfect. Clean and nice. And a small outbuilding with a washing machine. When we ran out of coffee capsules for the coffee machine, Nikolina sent coffee with the ferry.

SHE House was as advertised. We quickly called her home feeling acclimated & comfortable. Our GPS sent us some terrible way initially but the locals were very friendly offering us assistance. Our host was patient & accommodating showing us how many ways to reach the house ("all roads lead to SHE House"). We really enjoyed how centrally located the home was to all things on Brac Island. We realized our visit was a bit early for the weather & the season when our original ferry from Makarska was cancelled due to bad weather but no worries we just had to go to Split. The wind was so strong it actually blew open the latched front door one afternoon. The soft throws in the basket were nice & cozy-really appreciated. Some of our favorite meals were at Pumparela Restaurant & Taverna Riva in Bol; Konoba Kopacina & Restaurant Ziza in Donji Humac; Gastro Diva in Makarska. Driving in Croatia is NOT for the faint of heart but if you happen to be on the D8 stop for coffee at Strada.

The house and the nature around are otherworldly. The house is situated far from any civilization, and we've barely seen any neighbors during our stay, so it's perfect for people tired of the big city. But please note that you need a car in order to move around, since the house is 5 km from the nearest civilization. The house itself has everything you might need in terms of utensils and equipment, but is solar-powered, thus heavy electronics will wear the battery down fast. We were fine with 2 phones and 1 laptop, but it also depends on how sunny it gets during your stay. As to getting there, you also need to plan your trip around the ferry schedule, cause it's the main way to get from the island to the mainland. Zlatko is a great person, helped us get there, and left some treats for us. Totally recommend the experience.

Great apartment, not far from the city, but with great views and nature around the house. Dragi is also a very hospitable and chill host.

My whole family was obsessed with this place. The adults loved the beautiful scenery and the peacefulness and the kids loved the hot tub and the swings. The house is adorable and very nice and the views were even better than the pictures. We loved meandering around Humac and being close to so many interesting small villages to explore. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the island of Hvar, you will be hard pressed to find something better than Mario’s place.

We had a great experience staying at Marin’s place, he was such a great host, super friendly and always ready to help if we needed anything. The apartment was lovely and comfortable with everything you need and fantastic views. The possibility to use his bicycles was great! One of the most beautiful bike rides we’ve experienced, such gorgeous views! We’d love to come back again sometime and would really recommend staying at Vanja C!

Just a wonderful apartment, perfect distance from the lovely town of Jelsa, nice and quiet and with immediate access to the water. Bojana is a wonderful host, incredibly generous and kind, she quickly felt more like a friend than just a host. We would love to come back. The accommodation was absolutely perfect, clean and fresh. Very comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom and shower and a beautiful kitchen, which also contained basic ingredients (oil, salt, pepper, but also tea and coffee) which was very helpful. The tap water was drinkable. The view from the apartment to the harbour was beautiful and it was possible to enjoy it on the spacious terrace. The beach was really just a few steps away and at the turn of May and April it was completely empty. We must mention the hostess Melania, who is the soul of the apartment house and will do everything to make you relax. Thank you very much!

We were very thankful to find this quiet, clean apartment last minute which was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us. The direct access to the sea and the view while eating breakfast was fantastic. There were hummingbirds at dusk and complete silence at night. We were lucky enough not to have neighbors as this apartment is attached to another rental. The kitchen essentials and grill were a very nice touch. Thank you!

He gave us great recommendations on what to see and do in the city, and even treated us to some delicious homemade wine, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of utensils and appliances—everything we needed and more, which made cooking super convenient. Any time we needed something, he or his family responded immediately and were always happy to help, making us feel completely at home. We absolutely loved our stay! Antonia is such a warm and kind person. She helped us out with questions, ordered a taxi for us, and recommendations of where to go on the island. The apartment itself is beautiful and cozy. Thank you Antonia for a wonderful time and for your husband who showed up the ferry with my name on it, and the delicious snacks, wine, and marmalade. It meant a lot.

Clean, the beach just below the house, the apartment has everything you need for a vacation (except maybe a hair dryer), a lovely balcony and a view from it, quiet and cozy.

Fabulous apartment in a great location with an amazing and memorable view. Apartment is comfortable with great amenities. Everything’s well thought out. Great bedding, plenty of towels, hooks, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and a bottle of wine! The espresso machine was fantastic! He met us at the ferry dock and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. Perfect stay! Highly recommend! The view from the apartment balcony is the best!

We were looked after by Dina's cousin Antea, who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was well equipped and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view down to the harbour from the living room window and outside seating area was lovely. It was a five minute walk down to the harbour with its selection of restaurants and a supermarket - a few more minutes walking back up because you have a slope to climb, but that should not deter anyone who is averagely fit. We took a water taxi from Lumbarda harbour right to the edge of pedestrianised Korcula Old Town, which cost 15 euros return and ran every 30 minutes. This was nicer than going by road and not too unreasonable considering that parking anywhere near the town costs 5 euros an hour. The Old Town is beautiful and a more relaxing, less touristy and so more atmospheric version of Dubrovnik with lots of nice art studios.

Maya, her son, and father are amazing!!! Very friendly and accommodating. We spent the most time here during our 2 week Euro trip. Fantastic views from the balcony and a great place to relax with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. Right on the water with a great walk down to the shore where you can jump right into the sea! Space was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was SO nice. By far the nicest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. Maya's father took us out on his boat with his beagle. It was amazing. He knew the best spots, shared cool information/stories. It was a very authentic/non touristy experience. Maya let us borrow snorkel gear and that was beyond awesome because we snorkeled in the sea by the house but also on our boat trip which was truly special. She also provided homemade olive oil which was divine. WONDERFUL experience and stay.

Marco’s place in Hvar was my absolute favorite stay during our trip to Croatia! His home is beautiful, in a fantastic location, and offers stunning views. Beyond the lovely accommodations, Marco went above and beyond—he introduced me to some amazing skincare products from his local shop. I had developed a skin irritation from too much sun, and the cream he recommended worked wonders. This place is definitely on our return list—I will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at Ivo’s apartment in Lumbarda. The location is perfect and the photos struggle to capture the beauty of view you get from the front terrace (there are two terraces!). Nothing separates you from the sea apart from the local road to the centre of town. There are a couple of very small sandy beaches in the town but 15 minutes walk to a beautiful large sandy beach. If you have a car we recommend Pupnatska Luka as our favourite beach - windy small road to get there but its worth it! Ivo and his wife were perfect hosts - lovely to deal with and very helpful. The apartment is bright open and spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would love to come back in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Anamarija's. The flat was very nice, new, and well stocked. The location was great, close to beaches, the port, and restaurants. Anamarija was responsive and helpful, and also provided all the extras needed for a baby. Would definitely stay again.

Stop thinking about booking this place and just do it! Right next to Punta Rata and with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. Could not be a better place and Ivica and his wife were wonderful. Absolutely loved our stay!
