oh. my. goodness. there are no words for the experience we had here. the location was absolutely beautiful with all the different weather, snow, rain, tornadoes!!! there are so many trails to ride here, come on bring them them ATVS!!!! Kevin and Ashley were above and beyond helpful through everything!!! great people!!! absolutely loved it here, hope to be back!!!

Juat a peaceful, beautiful, calm, relaxing place to unwind, have some good food, soak in the hotub, enjoy nature, go for a walk, see the fireflies, You name it. If you work to much oike my wifw and I and need a place to reat and unwind and destress, look no further. Thank you for Hosting us, G+P

I stayed here for work. I got excellent sleep during my stay. The area is peaceful and private. It was a fantastic place for my dogs. The grill and picnic table were a must on my days off.

Absolutely amazing stay. The instructions on the main table were extremely helpful and it was a great place to stay. The cabin was very clean and there were plenty of towels and blankets. The hot tub was amazing for the chilly nights and one thing that really stood out to me was both mine and my fiancés phones had no service and it was so good to disconnect from everything. I will most definitely be back for another stay.

It was mostly rainy during our stay however that didn’t stop us from having fun. Our kiddos learned to kayak, loved playing in the sand at the beach, fished and loved “swimming” in the hot tub. We can’t wait to check out the other cabins. It was nice that phone service did not work well but the WiFi was good enough for emergencies and checking in on the world but not good enough that the kids wanted to spend their time on their devices. We will be back!

We had a lovely girls weekend at Cabin A. It was cozy, comfy and the surroundings were beautiful and the perfect backdrop to a restful and relaxing weekend. We will be back!

The property is beautiful. The home is exquisite. The only thing we would’ve like to have seen was recommendation for food in town. We’ll be back on our way to Mississippi! Absolutely lovely experience and the host was very friendly and responsive.

The place was nice and had a wonderful view of the lake. It has a screened in porch to hang out in. We went the week before it was fully staffed so most activities and meals were not available to us - which we were not aware of before arriving. There were still enough things to do. Manager was kind and accommodating and took time to give us a boat ride. We had awful storms one night and they had a good safety plan and management was helpful. Pros: had plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, towels. The queen bed was comfy and full size kitchen equipment was nice to have. Cons: the bunk beds are not great for adults with pain/back issues. There was no extra bedding (but we didn’t ask for any so that may be an option). Roads are rutted out so my low profile car had come issues driving in and out. We would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this cute cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful and very private. It is close to town and places to hike and sight see. Highly recommend this property.

Wonder place. Very peaceful and hidden. The drive to the cabin makes you feel remote but there is a store is like 20 mins from the cabin if you need something. I would recommend an suv or truck to get there but not required. We got to meet the host and he is very friendly. He was working on the property but didn’t bother us at all. Very peaceful not noise but birds. The cabin was very clean and brand new. WiFi worked great and the fire pit is awesome. They had some wood for you to buy so you don’t have to run to the store. Super helpful. I definitely would stay again if we are In the area.

Great stay in Cadet! It was comfortable, the playground for the kids made the weekend so easy! A fire in the evening for s'mores, lounge chairs to relax, and a close walk to the creek. Host was responsive when I had a question. We would definitely stay again

We loved the quiet, beautiful neighborhood; we loved learning the history of the home as well as the history of the area (we even got a fantastic rundown of the Battle of Pilot Knob by your local visitor center curator!); we loved Elephant Rocks, Caledonia, and Johnson’s Shut-Ins; and we loved our family movie nights in your family room. Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, the river was gorgeous, and the cabin was cozy and rather spacious! We had a campfire in the firepit and watched a few of the DVDs (big selection!). The kids had fun waving to the neighbors who drove by. Great weekend, great cabin, great host!

Stayed for a quick little “camping” trip for my son’s Birthday. Our family had a blast! My son was thrilled to see deer, raccoons, and several turkey during our stay. We sat by the fire in the evening and made s’mores. The view is absolutely stunning! Melissa was a fantastic host. She provided excellent information for checking in and out. She was friendly and very fast to respond to messages. I highly recommend!

We had a great stay! Just a few steps from the brewery/winery, which is a great place to sit and visit, eat, and drink. Very relaxing and quiet place to stay. Would love to visit again with another couple.

My family stayed for my son’s 13th birthday. We all love to fish and be outside when we can . We have rented a local fishing cabin three years now for his birthday. This is by far the best local fishing getaway. We caught so many fish and had so much fun . The goats are definitely amazing too .

Highly recommend this little cottage! We had a pleasant experience staying for 5 nights with our 4 kids, very quiet, had space to move around, everything described in the listing was accurate, Clean had all the kitchen necessities needed! The pool was the main hit for the kids and the creek behind the property was very tranquil in early mornings!

My friends and I came here for a much needed weekend to relax and recharge, and this place was absolutely perfect for that! The property is beautiful and quiet, the fire pit is wonderful and well-appointed, the inside is very spacious and I loved the cabin theme, and had lots of nice little touches - a personal welcome sign, s’more’s supplies, and more. We felt very peaceful here. It’s close to the meramec caverns and river as well which is great!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I rented this cabin for my husband and a few friends that went to Illinois for a hunting trip. I literally cannot say enough great things about this place and about Wally & Vickie. To say that they went above and beyond would be an understatement. Wally seriously went out of his way to accommodate my husband and his friends. His kindess and generosity did not go unnoticed. In addition to the gracious host, the cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and well stocked to meet all of our groups' needs. My husband is already looking forward to renting this space again next year!

The cabin and surroundings were perfect for our family getaway--beautiful, tranquil, private, clean, and very comfortable! We enjoyed the river access, beautiful sunsets, stars and bird life. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. There was a lot of thought that went into the decorating and amenities inside the cabin that we appreciated and enjoyed including dvds, games and records. This is an air b&b gem!!
