The best stay we ever had! The house had everything we needed!

This place is a great spot, everything is clean, and the pool was awesome!

We had our family reunion at this place. Ages 1-90 enjoyed gathering at this property.

Tyler's place was just as described. The furnishings were comfortable, the deck and pool were great places to chill, and the fenced back yard was perfect for us as a old couple traveling with a young dog. (Our dog REALLY enjoyed the freedom to wander and run in the back yard.) Neighborhood is peaceful and a very short drive to some restaurants and stores in Independence.

Hosts were outstanding, location beautiful, home as described. Kitchen was a little slim on basic kitchen utensils and items so if you need something specific for a meal, plan to bring it. Overall a great place to stay and the hosts’ responsiveness was esp outstanding!

Absolutely perfect! What a gem! (And what a deal!) We needed to be close to a convention center for a week. Lisa's home was the perfect retreat from our busy/loud days. The house was clean and had more than enough space inside. The shower was GREAT! It was also nice to control the temperature on "our side" of the house with our own thermostat. Outside was such a bonus. We could sit outside and read or play games and swimming laps/relaxing on a raft was SO nice. Her neighborhood is so quiet. Traveling as a lady with a child, I felt safe, relaxed, and comfortable. The pictures and description are completely accurate. Lisa and her doggies (so friendly) greeted us when we arrived and made sure we were settled. If we saw her in passing, she was very kind and friendly. We enjoyed the conversation and it was very nice to see those pups! :-) If we are traveling to the area again, I will look to book Lisa's place first!

Great place in an awesome location!

My family and I have stayed at many AirBnBs. We all agreed this was by far the BEST one yet! Julie is extremely responsive and helpful! It was the perfect location for us (15 minutes from the Ark and 30 from the Creation Museum). The house was spotlessly clean, beautiful, so inviting and just completely stocked with every little thoughtful thing you could think of to make your stay great—tons of spices, basic cooking ingredients, fully stocked kitchen, s’mores basket, huge selection of tea, coffee and cocoa, blankets, beach towels, fishing gear, books (for kids and adults), games—you think “I wish we had…” it’s probably there!). The beds were SO COMFY, and my kids loved their bunks! We went on many kayaking adventures and fished daily right off the dock. We all loved the hot tub on the covered deck overlooking the river! It was so great that we added an extra day to our trip! The nice washer/dryer was a huge asset, as well! It really felt like home! Thank you, Julie! We will be back!

When can we come back?? This home was the perfect retreat after spending each day in the city. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay. There was plenty of space for the 7 of us. It was family friendly (babies through grandparents) and accessible. The back porch and yard were a great place to relax and let the kids play. Matthew was responsive and the home was clean. A few simple check-out tasks were minimal and not time consuming - something we can’t say about other rental homes we’ve stayed at. Highly recommend. We are more likely to come back to the city knowing we’d have a comfortable place to stay!

We loved our stay! Thomas’ place was perfect for us and our kids/grandkids. All the games, Pac-man arcade game, pop-a-shot & air hockey table helped everyone stay entertained as well as watching the nearby horses along the back fence. Everything in the house was clean, well stocked and comfortable. We highly recommend!

Bruce was very responsive, Any issue that arose, and there were very few, he was on it immediately! He was Amazing to work with and overall our stay was Flawless! Highly recommend his location !

When we first exited the highway towards Petersburg we wondered where the windy roads were taking us but very quickly discovered a little town just far enough out of the way to be quaint and quiet yet close enough to everything we needed. The cleanliness of The Parlour House was just as all the other reviews has said, it was VERY clean which made settling in quick and easy making it feel like a home away from home. Well equipped with all the amenities we needed yet didn't have too many extra nicknacks that we were having to move things around to make room for our things—well done! A gem of a place for us and family friends to enjoy a getaway together while visiting the area.

We had a great time and the accommodations were very comfortable. The house is well maintained and we had what we needed for our family which included our young children, my husband and I, the grandparents, and my sister in law. Overall, everything was great! Will provided a lot of staples in the kitchen which made mealtimes easier traveling with a family. It was a perfect location for visiting both the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.

The house was gorgeously decorated. The bedding and pillows were superb. felt like we were sleeping in the clouds. great house to stay in!!

What a great place and literally in between anything you want to see from the ark, creation museum, river boat cruises and distilleries! Rosie and her husband are very sweet and helpful!! We got to meet them and hear the history of the house, so exciting!! Would love to visit them again!

This was my first experience at an Airbnb. Nadia made it easy and friendly. She was very helpful and responsive. She was quick to answer all of my questions. The property was beautiful and quiet. My family had any amazing time and we plan on staying again.

The house met our basic needs, enough rooms for our group, clean, and quiet neighborhood. We would rent this location again.

Excellent stay. Beds were incredibly comfortable with excellent linens. Very well stocked with instructions/information on everything thing she had available to use. The only thing that may need to be a little more clear is that the house is fairly remote and the driveway has a large slope on a hill. We didn't mind at all but others may. We enjoyed fishing and caught a few small catfish and blue gill. As with any outdoor space in the summer there is poison ivy and lots of mosquitoes. We would definitely stay again.

So close to everything but in a safe community and extremely peaceful! The house was clean, comfortable and quiet. Looked just like the pictures-we had a great 1 night stay.

Doug was very responsive. We booked last minute with three dogs on a long weekend and he communicated well before and during our stay. Would book through him again.
