Barn in Bradford-on-Avon

Contemporary Getaway with Countryside Views

Unit 2 of Haygrove Farm; Fix breakfast in a daylight-filled kitchen with wood countertops and dine al fresco at a cosy table on the decked patio of this contemporary home. Kick back on a chaise sofa with a book in an open-layout room with potted plants and trendy decor. Ideal for couples, families or a group of friends, the newly built contemporary barns in rural Wiltshire, just 7 miles from Bath and less than 2 miles from the historic Town of Bradford on Avon are the perfect location for a relaxing countryside getaway. These spacious, light-filled holiday barns will be a true delight to stay in. The development of the plot of the old stable and pigsty at Haygrove Farm has been built to the highest standard with the contemporary design and finish, including the expansive glazing, carefully planned to compliment the landscape, making the outlook truly breath-taking. A vaulted ceiling gives the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area a light and airy feel. Sleeping 4 people; One king size room and one twin (that can be converted to a king if requested in advance) with one large family bathroom and an en-suite shower room to the main bedroom, you’re assured to have a comfortable stay. Bi fold doors lead to a private deck area and large shared lawn boasting spectacular views of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Ample parking for 2+ cars within the gated driveway. Full underfloor heated tiled floors, TV & Marshall speaker, Wi-Fi. Excellent quality sheets and towels, hairdryer all provided as well as tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a small welcome hamper. We will leave keys for you within the key box at the front gates, but do not want to interfere with your privacy unless you need us. As a family run business we live in the Main farmhouse and Annexe right next door so can be on hand if you have any problems or want any advice to make the most out of your stay and will leave you our phone numbers should you need to contact us. There are plenty of wonderful places to eat in the local area (including the fantastic New Inn in Westwood itself) and we will be happy to recommend and book for you if you need us to. Located in Westwood, Haygrove Farm is a short walk from both the Westwood Manor and lford Manor, plus a 2-minute drive from Bradford-on-Avon. Bath is a 12-minute train ride away from either Avoncliff railway station, which is a mile away or from Bradford on Avon station. We have horses and a friendly Dalmatian ‘teenager’ as part of the family and you will see us around and about as access to Haygrove Stables are on the same drive as the Barns. We ask when you park that you consider the possibility of horseboxes needing to pass. This 2nd barn is dog friendly so we are able to welcome 4 legged friends, so they too can experience the beautiful Westwood countryside! We simply charge an additional £10/night cleaning charge when dogs are booked (payable on arrival/departure) and ask that they are kept off the furniture & not left unattended. Both Sharky (Dalmatian) & George (horse) are friendly (as are the other equine residents) We ask you not to feed the horses & please let us know if you have any dog aversions as Sharky is always happy to meet new people & may try & say hello to you before we do! ;)

A charming historical house with a blend of stone and timber-framed architecture is set under a clear blue sky. The entrance features a black door framed by neatly trimmed greenery and colorful flowerbeds, showcasing the character of the village.
Home in Castle Combe

Luxury Cotswolds Cottage, Castle Combe (optional Hot Tub)

Luxury self-catering home in the heart of Castle Combe, perfect for family breaks or romantic weekends spent curled up in front of the fire. The spacious bedrooms (inc. super king four poster bed) all with sumptuous bed linen guarantee relaxation. The property was built in 1490 and is one of the oldest houses in the village, retaining its wealth of character including Henry VIII's original coat of arms painted above the fireplace. Rumour has it Henry VIII visited the village and this was painted in his honour. Although built in the 15th Century, this property has been renovated beautifully and you will stay in the lap of luxury! With the very best mattresses and bed linen, you will be treated to a 5-star self-catering experience. There is also a 4–6-person hydro-pool hot tub on the patio behind the house, unfortunately due to the energy crisis and the costs of heating and cleaning it, we offer this as an optional feature and charge an additional fee of £180 per stay if you want to use it. We have excellent heating throughout the house and the wood burning stove in the sitting room throws out a huge amount of heat. This is the most beautiful village in England (officially voted to be!) and the set of numerous block buster films and period dramas. We are a two minute walk to the Manor House complete with Michelin star restaurant 'the Bybrook', a world class golf course, Castle Combe Circuit racing and endless stunning walks along the river. There are two pubs, the White Heart does incredible sandwiches and hot food. Sal and Dave are a castle combe institution, and this is the pub we spend most time at. The Castle Inn is now owned by the Manor Hotel. The food is high end and the prices have followed it. Recommend to book and a good place for dinner. Please note, free parking is available outside the Castle Inn Hotel or White Hart pub and additional free parking available up the hill from the main square, roughly 2 minutes walking. However at peak busy periods you may find parking is further up the hill than you like, sorry, on a hot Saturday many people come to enjoy the walks around the village and it can get busy. You can use the space outside the Old Court House for loading and unloading, however we would recommend that you don't leave the car parked for long periods as there is a traffic warden who exercises the free distribution of parking tickets without prejudice! Please just check that you are not parked on a yellow line. This is a place you can do everything or nothing. Perfect to unwind in front of our wood burning stove set in a majestic fireplace. You will never want to leave! As the house is situated in the heart of Castle Combe please respect our neighbours and remember to keep any noise down to a minimum after dark.
