Finest Retreats | Quarry Lodge

We had a lovely weeks stay. The home is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen has more than everything you need. The floor in the main bedroom does creak loudly when walked on, disturbing sleep. Other than that, it was perfect.

Fieldside View 2! *3 min drive to Lake District

CandiceRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Donna’s place is beautiful. As soon as I arrived I felt at home, the place is super cosy with everything I needed. The bed is comfortable, shower is hot, there’s also a fire and heaters to stay warm. The views of the sheep in the field are so beautiful. I’d love to return in future.

Meadow Cottage

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The cottage was a great place to stay for the adventures of the Lake District and beyond. It was stunningly clean and tidy with everything that was needed to have a great stay. The added bonus was that the cottage was pet friendly and "bear" the standard long haired dachsund was welcomed. A huge grassy garden for his early morning wander. The kitchen window over looked the field where sheep were looking after their young lambs, and the young lambs gambolling away with each other. It was lovely to meet our host Joan who gave us a lot of background information about the surrounding area and suggested places to go. There was a second cottages, along with the hosts property, on the same site with no other property for some distance but the cottage was still less than 5 miles from the main town that had a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants and many other shops to explore. Would certainly go back if we were looking around that area again.

Comfortable, peaceful cottage

MarcusRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a very lovely stay at this cottage. It’s very cozy, has all the appliances one could possibly need, and has the most important thing - a very comfy bed. The TV occasionally has a spotty signal, however this can surprisingly be fixed by not moving around the living room area, and staying seated on the sofa. The location has the appearance of being far away from everything, but is actually quite close to town. Very quiet and peaceful location that is quite easy to get to. Would 100% stay again in the future.

I had a fantastic stay at this house,The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, but not close to shops, restaurants .The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in and communication super easy. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches around the home that made it feel warm and inviting. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Charming refurbished Stables Conversion

StephenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Good base location to explore the Lakes. The cottage had sufficient space for our needs and was very clean. Grant communicated well with us throughout our stay, and had someone available to go through how things worked when we checked in and provided some good places for food. The cottage is aboit a 5 minute drive from a local supermarket which was ideal. We'd happily stay there again.
