Julie is an outstanding host! This house is perfect for any getaway. It was clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and STUNNING outdoor area with a gorgeous pool. This is 3 FULL baths and 1/2 bath!! Two kitchens! Two family rooms! You had space! It made you want to relax! The kitchen was well stocked with any utensil or appliance you would need. It was private. You could really escape and get away. Woodbury and the surrounding towns were jampacked with things to do. There were many places to choose from to eat. Such a variety from steak, seafood, pizza, and American fare pubs and other specialty restaurants. Lots of variety/antique shops, flea market, wine/liquor stores, convenience stores. Just a short drive into Southbury you find more shops, antiques, restaurants, bigger, grocery store, etc. We also drove to a few other neighboring towns. All under 45 minutes. Friendly people! We had a wonderful time! Price is fabulous, house/outdoor area is A+ value! Thank you Julie!!

I absolutely enjoyed my weekend here. The home is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was provided In the home. Everything was clean, and neat. House is filled with light. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The host were amazing and had great communication, assisted us when needed right away. I would highly recommend staying here, and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The yard is fenced in. Which made it easy to let the dog out, and great for the dog to explore. A++++ Will probably be back sometime In the future.

The pool house is so cute and the outdoor patio is gorgeous and the perfect place to relax. Great place to stay if you want to stay near New Haven but also want to enjoy quiet away from the city. Sue is a responsive and very generous host!

This house was perfect for my family to stay for the weekend so we could attend a family wedding. Wish the weather was nicer so we could have enjoyed the pool on our down time. But house was perfect!! Soo cute and Glenda responded very fast. She was so helpful! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

The house is exactly what we needed and very well located. Near restaurants, in a beautiful neighborhood and privacy. It was clean, with a big pool, a lot of space outside and with all amenities that was described. I liked so much because the house is very illuminated . I want to stay in it again .

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at the house. The house is beautiful and was extremely clean when we arrived. Luiz kindly left a sled for my kids to use in the yard. There is plenty of outdoor space and the yard has a good deal of privacy. There are two bedrooms and a den/office with a TV. The kitchen has everything we needed. Luiz was very easy to communicate with.

We sought out a quiet and peaceful place we could stay after a long winter. We got exactly that with Monica's home in Kent, Connecticut. We traveled with two dogs and our toddler. This home was able to accommodate that. Our toddler has a lot of energy and seeking out a place where we could get all of his energy out but still maintain a peaceful atmosphere, so we thought, would be hard. But tucked away in the beautiful forest of Kent, we found a place where our toddler could run through the large property and he had plenty of activities inside as well. Monica had everything equipped for families with children. Due to weather, the internet went out the day before we were to check out and unfortunately remained that way the remainder of the trip. But Monica was quick to inform me and we were able to find plenty of activities to do in the home. We truly appreciated all the amenities that this home had to offer for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

What a wonderful stay! We loved the location - beautiful view of the lake. House is very comfortable, clean, and easy to get to. Tracie and Sean were excellent in communicating everything we needed to know to have an enjoyable stay. We'll be back again with life jackets and fishing poles so we can enjoy some time on the lake!

The home was in a beautiful neighborhood, which made for nice walks, the kids were able to play ball in the yard, the check in directions were clear, we had 2 vehicles with plenty of additional space, the house was squeaky clean, the beds were comfortable and the photos were very accurate. The ping pong table was awesome distraction when it rained. It was easy to get to stores and restaurants. Laser tag, movies, bowling all a short drive. Host was easy to reach, responded quickly and had friendly attitude. We can recommend the “Flying Monkeys” restaurant where we had dinner to live jazz band! Food was great. All in all despite clouds and rain we had a great time visiting with our grandkids!

We came in for a bridal shower. I 100% recommended to other out of towners this listing. Wanted to stay a few more days but our schedules wouldnt allow. It is definitely worth the 5 star review!! Will be staying here in the future to visit my sister less then 2 miles away!!

Bryan and June’s place is peaceful and cozy, and the location by the river is spectacular. The kitchen was really comfortable, clean and usable with lots of cookware and nice quality dishes to eat off of; we easefully made multiple meals together and really enjoyed doing it - which isn’t always the case with Airbnbs. Both bedrooms are lovely, so if you’re in a group that needs both bedrooms, this is a rare find where EVERYONE gets “the nice room.” A rare find!! The beds are comfy and on the softer side, and should work great for 99% of people (they were just fine for my spouse and for our friend who traveled with us). IF you are someone who needs an especially firm and supportive bed due to back issues (my situation, sigh), they may not work for you. I’m only sharing that for anyone else in my very specific position, since I also rely on reviews for info like this!

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college and it was absolutely perfect. The cleanest and most generously stocked Airbnb I've stayed at. Extremely comfortable, convenient, calm and clean. Highly recommend.

Perfect placement, central to our needs. I love the fact my dog didn't have to be in a crate while we were out. I also love that there were laundry and dishwasher pods. Fantastic stay overall.

This was the perfect place to relax after visiting family all day. Hector's place was clean, private, and peaceful. the drive way is a little hard to find but GPS will get you there fine. The airbnb had everything we needed and loved the back deck for grilling. highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay, it’s been a long time since we stayed somewhere that looked like the pictures and was so CLEAN!!! We have young children so they climb on the floors and crawl around, so it was extremely comforting that everything was clean and the play area was perfect for mornings they played we drank hot coffee. The area was extremely easy to get to and loved the peacefulness

Such a beautiful place! So much to walk to and had great views of the ocean. Very clean and tidy space with everything you would need! Eileen was very responsive and super friendly. Defiantly coming back!

Kellen and Samantha's home and property are very special--a wonderful location for a restful retreat in nature that is also a short drive to several charming towns in northwest Connecticut. The hilltop site offers breathtaking views of surrounding mountains, valleys, and forest. The residence sits atop a long driveway off a gravel road so is serenely quiet and private. Inside, the space was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortably furnished. The shower, bed, towels, and linens were all particularly fantastic, as was the full kitchen which allowed us to cook nightly. The area is exceptional for hiking, culinary delights, and all sorts of shops. And our hosts were proactive, helpful, and clear in all of their communications. We really loved staying here, as did our dog, and we hope to return. Highly recommended!

I grew up on lake harwinton and the lake is just as peaceful and wonderful as I remember. The house was a great find. It was totally stocked with everything one could ever need. That includes firewood and fire starter for the fire pit outside. I did not realize that, and brought my own, but what a great touch! Some airbnbs don't provide firewood. All in all, this Airbnb was perfect. Lawrence and Denise communicated everything very clearly and were quick to respond if I had a question.

We really enjoyed staying here, as it was just as described, in a terrific and convenient location, very well laid out, plenty of parking, with a wonderful updated kitchen and bathroom, and clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils and a modern washer and dryer right off the kitchen. There was also lots of space to spread out when I needed to do work. It is also rare to find a king-sized bed for tall people! However, the other reviews about the traffic noise on the busy street out front are accurate, so bring earplugs if you are sensitive! We would be happy to stay at this place again in the future.

This is our second stay with Julie and intend to return again. What a clean cozy dwelling and we felt right at home. Access to the farm was a real reward!! Can’t say enough about how wonderful our week was there!

The place is so peaceful and gorgeous, almost like being in a nature preserve but not far from anything either. We saw deer, a fox, a heron, and lots of adorable chipmunks. It was the perfect place to stay during a graduation weekend where the town was bustling and we needed a place to decompress when not on campus. The lawn is simply stunning, and there are incredible views on the the pond and the sky from pretty much every room in the house. We were there during a wet spring and everything was green and fresh. It must be spectacular in the fall or during a snowy winter. Shawn is a super kind, attentive host. We hope to come back in 3 years for our next graduation! Thank you for letting us stay here!
