Beach house holiday rentals in Bude

Beautiful cottage right above the beach in Portwrinkle, with coastal path walks in either direction. Within easy reach of Plymouth via the Torpoint ferry. We had a lovely Easter break there.

This was my third stay at Amy’s and won’t be the last. The home is outstanding and the back beach on your doorstep, the town is less than a few minutes away and all you need there. Lots of pubs and tea shops and I highly recommend a visit to Laura Wall Art for lovely gifts. Be back soon thank you Amy

The only regrettable thing about our stay- is that we didn’t stay for longer! What a gem Blue Pebbles is- ideally situated for amazing views from the patio and balcony, for coastal walks or for beach days literally on your doorstep. The house is spacious, extremely comfortable and well equipped- a real home from home and we had a superb time with fabulous weather too. The welcome bottle of wine was much appreciated and we will definitely be returning to Blue Pebbles to enjoy everything the house and the area has to offer. Thankyou for sharing this holiday gem with us- we loved every minute of our stay x

Wonderful location and comfortable, well designed home. A little village out on its own with so much character and some great walks which are medium hard but good distances either way - to the left in the next village the Cricket Inn is delicious food and friendly staff - to the right a lighthouse. The views and beach really make this place… as well as being a close drive to Salcombe and Dartmouth. The house being is well stocked, stylish and comfortable so makes for easy living. We were a family of 7 and a dog and would highly recommend it. We did a Sainsbury’s food delivery to the house twice to make getting groceries easy and that worked perfectly too.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

Just got back from a lovely impromptu weekend in Looe with my 2 children age 5 & 8. We found it really easily thanks to great instructions and arrived to find the cottage warm, cosy and welcoming. The location is just perfect, in a quiet area and we couldn’t stop looking out of the window at the beautiful view of the river. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk to the main centre of town where there were so many things to see and do. The shop across the road was really handy, and parking was always easy on the quayside. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!

Eddie’s by the sea is the perfect get away! Lovely decor and very clean. What a great location by the sea. Shaun and Mel were great in terms of communication and they had thought of everything you need whilst away. Lovely high power shower and the fudge on arrival was a nice touch too. Great for a family or friends get away! Thank you

Absolutely lovely home , very responsive to messages, had an issue with the electrical gate it’s no one’s fault but they acted and responded so quickly. The only issue I had was with the pool not being open even though it’s listed in the title “ villa with pool “ and I searched air BnB using the great pool section . I was gutted because it did state in the more about section that the pool wasn’t open until may , I trusted that using the search with great pool would be enough but unfortunately It wasn’t, I did feel this was wrong listing a property with a pool and in the title but hiding the fact it wasn’t open in the click more section, this definitely needs changing.

The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the whole area. Helen was flexible with arrival and check in which made the holiday less stressful with small kids! Brixham is a lovely town to stay. The site would benefit from the new clubhouse pool & bar which was opening imminently, which we missed.

Lovely place and we had a great stay. Only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated, Maria let us know a few days beforehand that there was an issue with the boiler.

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

The place was absolutely lovely, clean, bright and cosy! Everything we needed was there, the bed was comfy and I had such a good nights sleep. The shower was lovely! Next time I head to Devon to see my family, I most certainly will be booking again. The hosts were very responsive and checked to make sure I had checked in ok and to see if everything was ok. Had no trouble parking. The hosts left a packet of biscuits on the table for us, which happened to be my favourite biscuits so enjoyed them dunked in my morning cuppa whilst looking at the stunning view! Very much appreciated and added to our lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely be back! The house was perfect for us all and we had loads of space. The kids loved the pool table! Great house, so well stocked we had all we needed. The surrounding area is beautiful and the beach is lovely with great places to eat and little beach shop which came in very handy when the kids all needed beach shoes! Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful. The only thing I would say is that the house is advertised as a “Lodge with hot tub” but you have to pay extra for the hot tub which I think could have been made clearer, not other than that absolutely no complaints at all. Just wow! I can honestly say this was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken! The home was absolutely beautiful inside and out. You can tell the owners really take pride in their property. The views were just stunning and you can see the sea and town from every single window. The pool was great for our large family too! It was so convenient to have a shower, toilet and changing area right inside as well. The kids (and adults) loved every second of it! Hayley made us feel right at home and was quick to respond with any questions we had. I highly recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a beautiful private relaxing retreat. We would definitely return!

Beautiful apartment, views were outstanding. Lovely watching the trawlers, lifeboat and yachts. Very clean, everything you need is in the apartment. Double bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you for having us.

We had an excellent stay at Sunkeeper. The house was amazing - very high quality with great amenities, and the photos don’t quite do it justice. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Communication from Ashley and Charlotte was clear and helpful throughout, and they were very understanding when we let them know about a minor accident with a wine glass. The local area is very scenic, and we had some great meals at the Inn On The Shore and the Beach House. Would highly recommend Sunkeeper to others looking for a high-end, relaxed and well-equipped place to stay.

It was an absolute delight staying in Lane's cottage, hosted by Angela and Daniel. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by both Angela and Daniel who had prepared a beautiful cream tea that was waiting in our cottage. This was such a kind and delicious gesture and one that was happily received. Lane's Cottage is beautifully furnished and kitted out with everything you need. It is spotless and true to the written description and photographs. The location was a perfect base for visiting the north west coast of Cornwall and it was so quiet and peaceful with stunning views of the coast. The coastal path is literally on your doorstep step and provides access to amazing walks in this beautiful area. Our hosts Angela and Daniel are definitely the A team. They are friendly, incredibly helpful and genuinely enjoy hosting. We kindly thank theml for sharing their beautiful part of Cornwall with us.

We had a wonderful stay at the cosy cottage. The first hours unfortunately were quite cold, because the house wasn’t heated when we arrived. But we escaped into the warm jacuzzi :) When the house was warmed up it was perfect. The surroundings are beautiful, you can do great walks in and around Lee. We totally recommend it!

We adored the house and couldn’t have asked for a better place for us a long weekend. The view is incredible and Annie and Josh were very responsive, ensuring we were always comfortable

What a gem! The upper beach house is a fantastic find with the most wonderful scenic view to look out to. The house is spacious, homely and full of all the amenities to feel home from home. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. With just a one minute walk to the beach and costal path, the location was perfect. Gareth was a great host, responsive and clear instructions. A brilliant stay!!

our 2 x families enjoyed several days in this house - with plenty of space for 8 of us. The house has plenty of high end equipment & utensils - everything needed on hand. It is walkable into town when the weather is clement & there are plenty of places around to walk or run. It is dog friendly however our friends small dog could jump the low fence in the garden & was too tempted by the rabbits playing in the field - so we couldn't leave the doors open however that is the only small issue we found. The outside space otherwise is nice & we also used the hot tub throughout the stay. Lisa was great to communicate throughout. Wifi also worked perfectly throughout.

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.
