This tiny guesthouse has the most beautiful view directly from your kitchen and sleeping room window. Since there's no street lights around, it's the perfect place to watch the Aurora and enjoy a relaxing private getaway in the Arctic. We live next door with our 5-year old son and cat. We are at work from 8:00 are at home from about 4:30pm and on weekends. Beautiful secluded cabin with sauna and tub at no extra cost. Situated in a small picturesque fjord, 1.5 hrs drive from Tromsø. Perfect location to experience sound of silence and get in touch with nature, while watching Aurora in winter and the midnight sun in summertime. The area is great for fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing or just relaxation inside by the fireplace or outside by the campfire pan. We love our house! It's on the most amazing location right by the sea with a view over beautiful mountains, surrounded by nature, and if you are lucky you'll see wild life like reindeers, otters, moose and whales and you can also see Northern Lights from the house. We built the house in 2018 and moved in right away. The house is modern, well equipped and it has a fantastic panorama sauna only a few meters from the sea. The place is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful.

There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

Lyngen is one of the world's most beautiful and undisturbed Arctic regions. From this exclusive cabin you can enjoy the northern lights in the winter and the midnight sun in the summer. The cabin is by itself, with a spectacular view. You can hear and see the ocean from the terrace. You need to walk up 140 stairs to the cabin, or walk the access road. You can be a bit shocked by the steepness, but it's worth it :) You can not drive up so you have to be a bit sporty to rent this place.

New, great cabin with a lovely view!

About this place: The hut is brand new and special. In the kitchen and living room there are large window surfaces and and very high under the roof. The view is therefore spectacular and has to be experienced. You can hear and see the sea from the terrace because the cabin is only 50 meters from the sea. You can park your car almost right next to the lodge. It is therefore very easy to use the cabin. You can carry your luggage right into the cabin.

Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

Turid and Hans have a gem with their "cabin" - a cozy place with lots of artwork, well equipped kitchen and magnificent views on the fjord and mountains of Ringvasoya. They made us feel like at home and were very responsive to any requests we had. What they couldn't control was the weather, but especially in bad weather the living room with the comfy couch, its many windows and the new sauna with the spectacular view offer perfect distraction and make even a rainy day to a relaxing and rewarding experience. One day we even saw dolphins swim by. Lots of candles and the wood fire in the oven created the perfect atmosphere to wind down from our busy job lives. Thanks for renting this personal space to us.

We stayed with great pleasure in this wonderful extremely comfortable chalet. The view of the fjord is priceless and we really relaxed after the ski mountaineering trips we were able to do despite the weather. Excellent equipment of the house and the exchange of communication with our host who welcomed us with the excellent smoked salmon produced by him

The location is amazing, grocery store is very close and you can also find bars and restaurants. So many amazing hiking trails very close to the apartment and also on the islands nearby. The apartment has an amazing view and the neighbourhood is peaceful, a lot of space and suitable for kids also although we were just two adults. We had a complication with the check in (our own mistake) but Stein was very helpful and accommodating and handled it very professionally and friendly, we felt like we were in good hands. Can recommend and would absolutely visit again, over all an amazing place and Stein as a host exceeded our expectations 🙏
