Just fabulous. A beautiful location, perched on a hillside overlooking a rural Portuguese valley. Lovely house. Ingenious heating system, and lovely, friendly owners! We will be coming back next year and I’m hoping David’s house is still available.

Absolutely stunning space. All the outdoor terrain is beautifully cared for and gives us the feeling of total privacy, of being in another dimension. It's beautiful. Wonderful swimming pool. The house is also extremely comfortable, with all amenities needed. Nothing to point out wrong.

An amazing house for family vacations! The house is very well equipped and very spacious with a large swimming pool to enjoy the sun. Isabelle was very responsive and pleasant during our stay. I totally recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa da Arosa. The house is stunning with such beautiful interiors. There are several dining-rooms and sitting areas and a lovely patio that we enjoyed using in the evenings. Ana kindly provided charcoal for BBQs and the sizeable pool and loungers were put to good use. Ana is a very considerate and helpful host who made check-in and out easy and can recommend good places to eat. There isn’t too much to do on your doorstep but we knew that and were happy to drive to the river for kayaking and excursions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

The house was spectacular, with all the amenities! In addition, it has many activities to do, such as billiards, piano and board games. We want to go back in the summer to enjoy the pool. The house was close to the center a few minutes drive away. However, we had the ideal privacy. Maria Lucas was always very helpful and left some miminhos...and fresh bread in the morning :) 5 star stay, and highly recommend it! We'll be back!

Great for a quiet stay for a large family. Good outdoor space by the pool and overall garden area. The house is very equipped with appliances and dishes. The host was always impeccable and very available with all requests.

Ideal Space for an unforgettable holiday!

Mr. Miguel is a host concerned with the well-being of his guests.. helpful, friendly and ready to help with whatever it takes! The house is equipped with the essentials, it is comfortable and has daylight entering through the windows, it has a lot of privacy because it is located in a village where it has few inhabitants (so I have 4000) , we always leave the door of the street open ... the bread van (except Sunday always passes at 9:00 in the morning)! The surroundings are wonderful, in the middle of nature for those who like to enjoy it ! It has a hypermarket (maxi-tem) with everything you need , when I say everything is really all situated at about 3kms!! In short , we love it and we'll be back for sure! Value very good ! I highly recommend it! Thank you for everything!

Beautiful house and beautiful location to relax and enjoy the countryside. Hosts were responsive and really nice and friendly.

We had a spectacular New Year's Eve. Impeccable house with good isolation and with everything available. Owners live next door and use the same parking space and entrance and exit space. But they are super friendly, as are the 2 dogs. The exterior is very good and has a great space with a run of tables for a barbecue. It is 5 minutes from the exit of the Cabeceiras de Basto motorway. Advice!

A beautiful accommodation in a pretty village that invites you to relax. Hosts are very kind and straightforward. We felt very comfortable.

We were warmly greeted by Sara, who was incredibly helpful throughout our three-day stay at the Quinta. The cottage is simple—consisitn g a one-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with a basic kitchen—one of four similar units converted from granite walles outbuildings of a grand Quinta. The property is expansive, offering many lovely spots to relax, whether in the vineyard, under a fig tree, or around the generously sized swimming pool. Despite being in a secluded valley, it's just a short drive to Cabeceiras de Basto, where you'll find charming Praia Fluvials, shops, cafes, and restaurants. We quickly became friends with another group occupying the other three properties, enjoying shared meals and drinks while the children played in the pool. Casa de Sestelo is an amazing, relaxing spot to spend a few days.

We had a great stay! The house was superb, with all the comforts you could hope for! The view and the calm around are 2 really non-negligible pluses! And finally our dog was welcome and for that we are really grateful! Great stay!

Accommodation located in an extremely quiet, private and very beautiful location. Outdoor pool, well-maintained and clean. Barbecue barbecue. Space available to park 2-3 cars. Air conditioning in the living room. Isabel always responded quickly to my messages/requests. Ideal place to rest and recover from the tiredness of the day-to-day, whether as a couple or even with younger children. Pet friendly. I recommend the place and I intend to return.

We were not lucky with the weather, but this allowed us to enjoy the fantastic fireplace the house offers. The heaters were almost unnecessary. The house is very well provided and we were very well received, I recommend!

We were delighted with our choice. CASA de Castilla was exactly what we were looking for. Set in a rural valley vineyard, it was quiet, peaceful and so relaxing. The two storey apartment was spacious with views to the vineyard and surrounding countryside. We loved the atmosphere and the history. The pool was pristine and the gardens were beautiful. We were met by Sarah who was so helpful. She was a beautiful young woman who went beyond to help us to settle in. Her local knowledge was fantastic which made our stay so much more than we expected. We would highly recommend a stay there. The location is hard to find and Sarah met us in the town and we followed her in the car. I must mention the drive in was very interesting.
