“Khaled's EZ Residence was a true oasis for me to rest up from a whirlwind 2-week tour of Egypt. I wanted a place that was clean and quiet, with lots of light and open air. It was perfect! I was able to order in dining with Khaled's help, and even do my laundry before moving on to the next country in my travels. The outdoor balcony is huge, and all of the rooms are as light as you want them to be during the day, and as dark and cozy as you need at night. The desk guys downstairs will keep an eye on you to make sure you are okay coming and going. If I return to Cairo, I would love to stay here again.”

“This is a wonderful room on the top floor of a building in a very safe area of Cairo. Traveling by myself, I never at risk in the building nor in the neighborhood. I loved that there was more than adequate storage for my things during my two-month stay. I could totally unpack, hang up my clothes and use the dresser and middle wardrobe for all my folded clothes. I had plenty of room to store my luggage away, too, which made the space feel more like home. The room was large and has a closed-in porch out the double doors, where Sarah has a table and two chairs and a drying rack. The windows open and there is a peak-a-boo view out to one of the roads surrounding the block. Since I spent a couple of months here and often need rest, I found the porch a wonderful place to sit and read, as well as eat my meals. The apartment has a full-service kitchen and a small kitchen table. The living/dining room also has a large dining table. There is one main full bathroom that serves all three guest rooms, as well as a toilet and sink in a secondary room. Sarah provided water and tea, as well as a carton of apple juice, to begin my long stay and I really appreciated having these supplies before I went to the grocery store for the first time. Water is sold by a vendor across the street from the building and a very nice grocery store is a short 3 blocks down the street. I enjoyed most of the other guests that stayed in the apartment during my two-month stay and I would return again. However, if you cannot sleep well on a firm bed, you may have trouble with Egyptian beds as they are cotton mattresses, rather than spring or foam. But for me, I adjusted and the apartment became a great base of operations for me as I traveled Egypt. Thank you, Sarah, for providing me a safe and comfortable home this spring.”

“During a time where COVID-19 has interfered with the ability to work remotely, I booked this place last minute to do some studies and conference calls. I can’t emphasize enough how accommodating and responsive Aya and Ahmed are. Upon booking, I was confirmed and welcomed via direct message within minutes, with all the details necessary for a seamless check-in. The apartment is easy to find, with a stunningly spectacular view overlooking the Nile. The pictures accurately resemble the area but did not do it justice with how gorgeous this space is, especially the rooftop patio that is open for guests; it was calm and serene. The decor is modern and minimalistic, very clean and well-maintained, and the WiFi is strong (for all you workaholics). Though it was a studio, Aya made me feel at home with the amenities offered and access to a full-service kitchen. She would regularly message to make sure that I was comfortable and that amenities were provided accordingly. What elevated this experience is not feeling like I invaded a strangers home, instead feeling relaxed as if I was hosted by family. I truly appreciated Aya’s hospitality. I recommend booking any of their properties because I’m certain your experience with this couple will surpass many other listings. They’re gracious and humble, and you will not find better hosts.”
