A haven in Caldebarcos

Shelter: traditional architecture between hiking trails (A Moa (Red Natura), Aguillóns, Camiño dos Costados), a walk framed by stone walls surrounded by granaries and at the bottom the immense beach of Carnota, Boca do Rio and its marsh (a 10-minute walk from the shelter). Located in the shelter of Mount Pindo, built in 1920, designed and restored in 2021 as a lasting space where time stands still. A terrace sheltered from the wind by a stone wall in the shade of century-old fig and laurel trees.

Casa rústica situada en la aldea de Panchés,(Ayto. de Carnota). Un enclave con una tranquilidad absoluta, con el Monte Pindo a nuestras espaldas. Tenemos también a 3 kilometros la playa de Boca do río. En dirección norte, a 5 kilometros, tenemos la Cascada del Ezaro. Otro de los sitios que destacamos es Caldebarcos (a 1 km del alojamiento) con distintos restaurantes para poder degustar los productos de la zona, sobre todo los pescados y mariscos que abundan en nuestra tierra.

Trini was a wonderful host. We appreciated her fast responses to our questions. The house was actually quite large. It was cool often and we needed to use the electric heaters in each room. The home was very comfortable- a bit dated, but had all we needed. There were plenty of towels to use and the kitchen was well-stocked. Even a citrus juicer for the delicious local oranges. The washing machine was small, but worked fine. We did use the laundromat across the road and we were able to do a lot of laundry at one time - including using the dryers. However, it was a bit expensive.

Accommodation in a very quiet area with the description adjusted to reality. Barbara was very friendly and even left us products from her huerta that were certainly exquisite. Obviously you need a car, but you have very little time good restaurants and cities like Muros or Fisterra if you want more ambience. It's also a perfect place to go with your pet. Thank you for everything.

Marcos and Teresa are very charming and helpful hosts. The place is beautiful as well as the area. However, you have to organize yourself to do big shopping in a supermarket in Muros for example which is a 30 min drive. It would be missing a bakery in Caldebarcos to avoid taking the car to pick up the bread. The apartment is very nice and we recommend Marcos to anyone who wants to discover this part of Galicia

We had a great time at the house. It is advisable to go by car since there are no shops nearby to be able to shop and so on. Otherwise the phenomenal house, it had a hiking trail right next to the house that was great to take out the dog, connect von the nature and enjoy beautiful views of the area. It is as described. There were 3 of us in the house and it was perfectly suited to our needs. There are games and entertainment for children and the kitchen is super well equipped with everything you need. Esmeralda was very attentive to everything we needed and were super friendly and flexible for us to enjoy a good experience. Thank you very much for everything!

A great stay and a TOP host. Communication was perfect, very helpful and kind. The house is made of stone, very nice and is in a beautiful place, close to amazing beaches. You can't ask for more. We'll be back for sure!
