Cabin holiday rentals in Caldwell County

There are some houses that need to be in a class of their own and Peaceful Horizons is certainly one of them! The views are breathtaking, the silence in the mountains is amazing, the house has everything you can imagine. Kitchen is very well stocked. There are clear labeled instructions on everything in the house. We arrived after dark and it was raining, we passed the driveway and had to do a very interesting turnaround. Try to get there in day light, it’s much easier. We loved it so much, we’re already rebooked in October! We celebrated our 22 anniversary and enjoyed having such peaceful time together. I couldn’t help but tear up every time I sat on the deck. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this incredible home. I’m so grateful to have been there.

From the moment I booked "The Summit" Barbara, the owner, was available to answer any questions about local cuisine or how certain amenities worked. The responses were always ultra fast, clear and informative. She treated us as friends as opposed to feeling like a renter. The property was exactly as described and was decorated nicely and in squeaky clean condition. We chose "The Summit" for its solitude and tranquility and boy did it deliver. The Views....simply breathtaking. you have to experience it 1st hand to appreciate the serene beauty of western NC. From the mountains to the lakes to the daily excursions that lead us to try so many new adventures we couldn't have been happier with the host, the house or the location. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and will be cherished forever!

Hands down, one of my favorite airbnb! Spectacular views, beautifully decorated space, awesome sitting areas. We were in town celebrating the wedding of my college roommate's daughter, and the space was perfect for three couples. Can't say enough great things about it. Brian was incredibly responsive as a host. The location is a very short drivable distance from Blowing Rock, not that you may ever want to leave the airbnb. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at this property. Had everything we needed and a great location minutes away from downtown Blowing Rock and not far from Boone. Very quiet out there which was very nice. Our host was very responsive and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit.

Place was great! Beautiful location. You do need to be able to climb stairs to stay at this Airbnb. Views of the lake were incredible.

Pictures don’t do this place justice! I got to see my first live wild bald eagle on the first day and was infatuated ever since! Saw many Osprey and Cranes! Loved the beautiful creek front property. Some of the clearest water. Clay’s place is everything we look for and need in an Airbnb plus more. He was very kind and communicative. We hope to book here soon again! Thanks Clay!

I booked this trip to escape from work and stress and this was the perfect away for me and my dogs. It was sizable to host our family of 6, plus two dogs. Host was a fantastic communicator and the view was absolutely spectacular. I would mention, make sure you grab groceries in blowing rock or major town. GPS said 45~ minutes from Blowing Rock and we figured we’d find a grocery store. That was not the case, so just plan better than we did! I appreciated the grills and balcony, my one dog loved the space. All furniture was very comfortable we all loved it. I would absolutely recommend! I hope to return in the fall for the leaves changing colors!

We had a great stay and the cabin was nice and spacious!

This is our second stay at the cabin. It’s my kids’ favorite. Fabulous, quiet place to stay with a short drive to town. The starter kit for the supplies is pretty scant, so you’ll likely want to grab extra paper towels, dishwasher tabs and clothes washer pods. Make sure you grab two bundles of firewood, as well! The fire pit is not to be missed! We made a fire each night and enjoyed the stars. The decor and setting is cozy and there is much for younger kids to do. Beds are slightly firm, but still comfortable (we prefer PLUSH/soft). Our last stay was hosted by Robin. I believe it’s owned by Shane now and a rental company maintains it. To be honest, it was cleaner when it was privately owned/cleaned/run, but it was still pretty clean this time. The amount of crumbs in crevices/corners was noticeable. The bedding was all clean, as were the towels and the bathrooms. The rugs in the dining room especially are in need of a good cleaning. Hoping it stays well kept for future stays.

The place was truly breathtaking we thoroughly enjoyed the horse riding which was absolutely amazing now we're deeply inspired to move to the mountains this place is gorgeous you wake up to a stunning view of the horses we will definitely go back again.

Quite Lovely & Charming 💞! Our stay at Misty Mountain Cabin was simply amazing! The cabin was impeccably clean and immaculately decorated with a cozy and charming flair. The cabin was exactly as described and pictured, if not better. The perfect mountain cabin for a fairytale winter vacation ! Did I mention how well- appointed the cabin is and its convenient location. Secluded enough to unwind and disconnect, yet a short drive from my favorite town in the slopes, Blowing Rock. I love the fact that my pups were welcomed and they absolutely loved this cabin and the scenic views of the blue ridge mountains. Absolutely stunning and breathtaking views from the living room. Our host, Wendy, is a wonderful person to reach out to if you need to do so. I did reach out to her to extend my stay and she promptly granted my request. Everything from cabin’s layout, charming decor, and cleanliness to the amazing location made for a vacation we will remember forever. Will definitely visit again!

Alpine Vista is such a beautiful cabin. The views are incredible, there is lots to do and the theatre is really fun! One of our best stays ever! It was the best choice we could have made.
