Designed as a nod to my heritage, Skoghus ('forest house' in Norwegian) was crafted for relaxation, and reconnecting with nature. The treehouse sits in the centre of a Scottish Highland cattle farm, with pasture and forest in all directions. From the yard, you'll be able to observe and engage with the farm's cattle when they come by. Inside, you can disconnect and unwind, with luxury amenities. Artfully crafted cabin beside a small pond in the forest. Wake up to soft forest light and singing birds. The enclosed porch features huge windows that can be fully opened for an outside feel. The property is lakefront and guests have access to a small non motor lake where they can paddle, float and swim. The property is 20 minutes from Sun Peaks, surrounded by hiking trails, lakes, golf courses and lots of outdoor activities.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
