We had a wonderful stay at De Vrede - as a plantswoman myself, the garden must've been my favourite part of the whole property. Expansive, wild and prescribed a slower temporal pace I found incredibly fruitful. The cottage itself was delightful too, where we spent most of the chilly evenings by the fireplace. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again!

Lovely home in our favourite seaside family escape. Enjoyed the pool, snooker table and table tennis. Great added value attributes not often found in the fishing village. Comfortable house and all you need in the kitchen, including two fridge/freezers, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Helpful and responsive hosts. Pet friendly too!

Truly a gem of a place! Clean, comfortable and cosy with a lovely large enclosed garden for the dogs. We loved listening to the frogs at night and the bountiful of beautiful birds in the day. Close enough to the main road with lots of restaurants and to the wandelpad for lovely long sunrise and sunset walks with the dogs. Allison as a host was friendly and accommodating. We loved Allison’s place and will always try to come back in the future. Thank you Allison.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

We had a marvellous time at Brian's house. A well equipped sparkling clean house right on the Breede Rivers banks. Spectacular sunrise and sunsets. A truly special gem of a place.

We had the most magical stay! What a beautiful cabin right in the mountains of Suurbraak with a lovely hike to a waterfall directly from the property. The cabin is stunning, we loved how much thought went into everything, we felt comfortable and relaxed! Highlight: spending every evening on the bean bags by the warm indoor fireplace! Beautiful kitchen inside the cabin, indoor & outdoor shower, the communal area is also great with the pool, large seated firepit and lots of relaxing spots in the garden to sit. So special! Cant wait to come back. Kane is super helpful, can buy more wood on the property and we felt very taken care of!

Cha’s place is absolutely lovely and she is a dream of an Airbnb host. We truly enjoyed our time there with our 2 boys and dog. Cha was very quick to reply to any and all of our messages and the place was well stocked with all the necessary items to cook and prepare meals. The hot tub was ready for us to get in upon arrival and there was plenty of firewood to keep it going. The views are spectacular and the area is peaceful. Thank you Cha for hosting us!

A wonderful relaxing weekend at Jurie and Veronica’s place. Wonderful accomodation and easy check in with excellent communication along the way. Lots of restaurant suggestions! We loved Gabrielle’s place. Surrounded by nature, the frogs sang us to sleep. It was lovely sitting outside on the stoop and spacious to be all together. And was also lovely and cosy sitting around the indoor fireplace. Will definitely go back!

As per my first visit to Lucky Crane Villas on my birthday in November, this visit was again spectacular. The interior aesthetics of Monika's design, the total comfort, the thoughtfully created functionality in every space, the integration with surrounding nature and the views out the windows, the private garden, and so much more - all this adds up to a truly fabulous experience. Definitely have dinner at the "The Courtyard Bistro and Theater", and breafast at "51", both must-visit destinations in their own right. a great house in a wonderfully quiet area. perfectly and very tastefully furnished. a few minutes from the beach. with a bit of luck you can watch zebras from your bedroom in the morning ... hildegarde and thys are wonderful and helpful hosts. we would love to come back ...

A beautiful peace of heaven nestled in the Swellendam mountains and only a short drive from the busy city life. We were wowed by the amazing views and could not get enough of them. This location is rustic but so beautiful. You have the choice of a cosy rustic cottage with everything you need for a weekend stay or camping next to a pool area with other campers. The location is pet friendly and our 3 small dogs loved the freedom of open spaces and enjoyed their daily walks. The host Henri was very friendly and checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the location for anyone who appreciates the outdoors.

This place is amazing! The kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated and pristine. The house has wooden floors and such a cozy feel to it. The host really cares about his guests because the beds are equipped with electric blankets and the bathroom has a very effective heater. The house is beautiful and the location is breathtaking. It was so wonderful to wander into the nature reserve right next door and a baboon greeted us in our own garden. Will definitely visit again - perhaps in the summer when we can enjoy the lovely pool and braai area!

Even though the property is in quite a suburban street, the moment you walk through the garden gate you feel you have entered a woodland away from streets and houses. We loved sitting up on the top balcony watching all the bird activity taking place at tops of the milkwood trees. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Corlene‘s place is absolutely unique - you will be staying in the cutest cottage in the middle of „nowhere“. The surrounding of the farms, the little lake and the mountains are stunning and so beautiful. The cottage itself has everything you’ll need for cozy stay - but the views are definetely the best! :) It’s super clean, safe and there‘s a lot of space within the 3 rooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms and also the kitchen is well prepared. Thanks Corlene! Would love to come back one day 🧡

The hostess was very nice

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property—though calling it a "cottage" feels like an understatement, as it's actually a spacious, stunning home. There were three adults, two kids, and two dogs in our group, and the location was perfect for everyone. At one point, my dogs managed to find a way out of the fenced area (they only ventured into the farm, not off the property), which turned out to be a minor inconvenience due to the burrs they picked up. However, the team quickly took care of re-securing the fence. The staff was exceptional and incredibly attentive, even going above and beyond by cleaning my car without being asked. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the daily visits from the beautiful herd of cows- such a charming touch! We absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this property- truly outstanding in every way.

Fun cottage with ocean view from balcony. We had a great time although the wind was howling the whole stay. Easy walk into town and to the beach and cave. Would love to come back, hopefully with a bit nicer weather so we can make the most of this great place
