We built this root home for our family. It was designed by an architect with extensive experience and built with charm, quality and the simplicity of those who like to be in nature. We decided to rent it on vacation, and we look forward to meeting guests who can enjoy and take care of it. It is in the Serreta, a magical place, next to a magnificent forest, where there are many trails, a stunning park, many little cows, an unparalleled landscape and a sunset that varies by tone each day.

We loved our stay!!! We wish we could have stayed so much longer. It was a super easy walk to the water and the AMAZING piscina natural Simao Dias. They left us a lovely care package and were so helpful and responsive to everything. The view was incredible and the location was absolutely fantastic. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

The accomodation was on a beautiful organic plantation with rich green around and overlooking the see. The yurta was new, very clean as was our bathroom. Breakfast was abundant and delicious with all the fruits coming from the organic plantation. Natasha and her husband where very welcoming and informative of every aspect of the plantation and Island in general. It's a nice experience and would highly recommend to everyone.

We felt like we were at home. The house is spotless, very quiet, spacious and with two terraces, a low porch and one outdoor. With coffee, milk, water, oil, sugar, salt, pasta, rice, eggs............very, highly recommended. Natalina always pending.

Tania was a great host, always there to help and answer questions. Her hostel is a very nice place, clean and cozy, with a big kitchen that has everything you could ask for. The bathroom was very clean. We were lucky to stay there while there were almost no other guests, so we didn't have to share the room—which had a big balcony with view on Pico mountain by the way. If we come back to São Jorge, we will definitely stay at Marficas Hostel again!

Sao Jorge is a hidden gem island and Amaro “Filipe” is a gem of a host! The eco accommodation is in a spectacular location with gorgeous views and charming surroundings. Our bungalow was spacious, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a covered porch facing Pico. Filipe is very friendly and helpful, and as a native of the island, he is a wealth of knowledge about things to do. We liked the place so much, we arranged to stay another night. If I return to Sao Jorge someday, this is where I will stay!

The AirBnB was very nicely decorated and the bathroom and kitchen were very clean. In addition, Julia was very nice and helpful and welcomed us kindly. I can only recommend the AirBnB.
