Discover the bright, cheery Pineapple House. The home features a simple interior design aesthetic, vaulted ceilings, wood accents and decor, an all-white interior with pops of color throughout, and an outdoor lounge with panoramic views and a gazebo. Housekeeping is included (every other day) in the rental price (except for Sundays and holidays). Sheets and towels are changed every other day, however if the that day falls on a Sunday (or holiday), they will be changed on the Monday (or following work day). As you walk through the private entrance, you will immediately appreciate the high ceilings that accentuate the open plan living room, dining room and kitchen area. Passing the kitchen, on the right, you enter an open corridor, and find two bedrooms and one bathroom. At the end of the hall there is a staircase leading to the second floor landing, where the two master bedrooms and the second bathroom are located. If you continue up one more floor, you will reach the private roof terrace, which offers a generous open air entertaining area from which you can enjoy a view of the Castillo San Felipe. Guests have access to the entire house. I am not always in Cartagena, however it is possible that we might coincide. My family home is only a few blocks away. Getsemani is a lively neighborhood. The people that live here like to listen to music and can be seen on the streets playing dice games and partying. It is great fun to watch and they are all very friendly. When you hop in the taxi at the airport, please tell the driver to take you to "Calle del Espíritu Santo” in Getsemaní. You can mention that he can reach Calle del Espíritu Santo by "el Pedregal", or by "Plaza de La Trinidad". The best way to get around Getsemaní and the Old Town is by foot, otherwise I highly recommend hiring a horse drawn carriage for a tour of the beautiful colonial streets.
