Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Castro

We really enjoyed our stay at Massimo’s place! It was charming and the spiral staircase and caved bedroom were so unique! The ceilings above the staircase were very low, so our 6’3” guest stayed on the main level to avoid bumping their head. We also had some trouble making sure the air conditioning worked, but Massimo was incredibly responsive and helpful. I’d gladly stay in Massimo’s home again - and spend more time on the roof deck!

We loved staying at Casa Della Controra! We were six friends from different parts of the world staying in Puglia together for few days. After we did the reservation we realized there was only one bathroom but actually it was not an issue for us as we are all good friends, very flexible, accommodating and considerate. The communication with Elena was superb as she was always responsive to any questions we had. Grazie Elena!

We had an extraordinary experience at Iacopo's house, who was very kind and personally welcomed us to his house. Iacopo always answered our messages and advised us in the best way to make our stay ideal. As for the apartment, it has an excellent location, it is very comfortable, clean and has everything you need to have an excellent stay in Lecce, staying here everything is close! I highly recommend it!

We had the most amazing time at the Masseria! The property is beautifully curated … rooms full of character and quirky details, spacious and most of all homely . The large outdoor area allows for al fresco dining and plenty of socialising. Beautiful pool area and gardens …the attention to detail is incredible. Thank you Francesca for creating such a wonderful home and allowing us to share it !

Very nice, clean, well-equipped apartment with a mega-large garden area. Very nice hosts who welcomed and said goodbye to us with gifts, Giuseppe was always available & everything worked out well. We'll be back!

Had a great stay at Marco’s place in Lecce. It’s in one of the nicest spots in town with two great bars in the square by the Greek church, but also very near everything. Marco communicated well and the instructions to get in the apartment were clear. Yes there is music in the square at night but this didn’t bother us too much even though it went on quite late. Would stay here again if I went to Lecce.

We chose Maison Manara for a family break and its location just a short drive to the wedding venue our Son and his Wife were attending. The house was very well equipped and easy to self-cater, apart from the power outages, but we managed. Access to bathroom and shower facilities, via bedrooms, were different than usual but being one big family wasn’t an issue for us. Our grandchildren enjoyed the toys and hours of fun in the pool. Trips to the local park were frequent and also allowed us to enjoy a drink at the adjoining cafe/bar at the same time. We feel we’ve had a truly authentic Italian experience in the heart of the village, it was very peaceful and everyone was so friendly. The local grocery store was really well stocked with lovely fresh produce, meats, cheeses and breads. Clara and Mikka were excellent hosts and provided lots of useful information on the local area and places to visit, although we weren’t quite prepared for the unwelcome mosquito bites!!

We had a great stay. Antonio is a very nice host who is always there for you! He came to pick us up by car at the nearest train station (15min drive) because we did not have our own transport, he helped us with arranging scooters and brought us back to the station after the stay. Really great service. In addition, we got a lot of tips about sights/activities in the area and Antonio is a man you can have good and nice conversations with!

It’s a property with a modern, tastefully decorated design and very well-thought-out details. The bed linens are exquisite. Very comfortable for four people. The garden is charming, and the gazebo where we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner is a true pleasure—fresh and picturesque. A special mention goes to Pino, who welcomed us warmly with a coffee and gave us a tour of the vegetable garden. We got to pick tomatoes, zucchinis, and zucchini flowers, which we later used to cook delicious meals. We also enjoyed raspberries and cherries straight from the tree. Our days at La Lazzara were truly unforgettable!

Every time you travel, you have that feeling of finding something new, although being a host deserves to have the desire and time, this woman and her partner have left us wanting to know them more, they are charming people, respectful, reliable, and very kind and gentle, we will gladly see them again in their beautiful apartment. A beautiful apartment with unique 360 rooftop views in the truly glorious Gallipoli! The roof terraces are the star of the show and we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches on one, sunbathing on loungers and drinking morning coffees and sunset drinks on the top one - spectacular and incredibly peaceful! The master bedroom was very comfortable and the main bathroom was great, too. The kitchen was really well set-up. Close to everything you could want in Gallipoli! Marta and Tiziana were very responsive. If I had to flag one thing, it would be that because it isn't a self-check-in apartment, there is an extra charge for checking in after 8pm. Our arrival time was dictated by flights that changed after we had booked them, so this was out of our control. I appreciate that the apartment is run by a property business and you may need to pay staff to be available out of hours, but it's worth factoring this into your budget if you know you will arrive late. Still an exceptional experience!

Oh the views! Rental is amazing, photos don’t do it justice! The top floor apt is large and well furnished. The grounds are gorgeous all these beautiful stone walkways taking you towards the spectacular view. Pool is small but refreshing and we walked down to the Grotto and rented a chair and umbrella at the huge pool there. You can access the sea too from the house although a steep walk. AC is cold and fantastic we slept great! Can’t recommend enough we’ll be back for sure. Thanks to Paolo for being so helpful and gracious.

This apartment consists of a room with a bed and a small kitchen and adjoining bathroom. A staircase takes you up to a small private terrace, with a hammock, table, deck chairs and lots of plants. The apartment remains relatively cool in the heat due to the stone walls (there is also air conditioning). The check-in was very flexible and totally friendly! :) Everything is within walking distance. Our highlight was the furnishing of the apartment: there are small works of art everywhere, paintings on the walls or small statues in the walls. We felt right at home. The bed was really very, very comfortable! We would recommend this apartment to anyone. Thank you very much.

The place we stayed was very nice and clean. The interior was very well decorated. You can walk everywhere. But more importantly, Davide was a very good host.

Being an excellent host ,Guiseppe was waiting for us when we arrived in order to guide us and give us the necessary information for the proper functioning of the apartment . We loved and appreciated that he shares with us the history of his beautiful home,transmitted to his family for a very long time ,as well as the transformations he has made there. We were looking for a quiet place in a good location and we found it in Carpignano , a great base for visiting the area! I recommend it.

This place was even more beautiful than the photos. Gorgeous views everywhere you looked. Sunrises were magical. Ada and her husband were so very kind and helpful with any questions we had. This place is a perfect oasis for a group gathering. You wouldn’t need to leave the property if you didn’t want to. So much to see and do right on site including pool and outdoor pizza oven. Several little spots to eat or have a drink with sea view within minutes. Santa Maria Di Leuca is only 15 minutes away with many terrific restaurants and touring options!

We arrived and departed with a „WOW“ on our lips. The place of Bea is so special und unique - it is obvious how much love and care is put into this place. It is good to relax and enjoy the fabulous pool! We would love to come back!

Occasionally on Airbnb you arrive somewhere and it’s like hitting the jackpot. Each and every space is beautiful, well appointed and through a design lens- stunning. Laid back luxury at its best. We are a (grown up) family of 9 and appreciated the numerous spaces to step back for moments of solitude - both inside and out. All the bedrooms are gorgeous- so no one left feeling like they’ve pulled the short straw, and the kitchen is perfect for creating big dinners. A cool (thanks to the air con) sitting room-perfect for reading, and bathrooms all well designed and good looking. The pool is beautiful- big enough to get a proper swim in which in my experience is rare, but the huge table under the canopied terrace off the kitchen was the place to be! The village bar is a 2 minute walk away and more restaurants a 15 minute walk. Can’t recommend enough, and can’t wait to return. Thank you Rocco and the wonderful house keepers for making our stay perfectly fabulous.

We enjoyed an incredible one week stay. Stunning location - excellent for exploring southern area of Puglia and enjoying the beauty & serenity of Mancaversa. The fabulous accommodation exceeded our expectations. The photos just cannot do justice to the view from the property and the sound of the sea was soothing every day. The property has good space inside and outside, we felt very at home. Franceso was an extremely helpful host. He provided clear instructions on getting to the property and finding our way around the local area. He was responsive when we needed to seek some medical assistance too. He really made our stay as smooth as possible.

We had an amazing stay at Francesca’s. We were in contact with Lukas who was extremely helpful, clear and friendly. At check in, Lukas met us and showed us around, he had many local recommendations for us. Throughout the stay he was super responsive and helpful. The first morning we woke up to fresh croissant and pasticciotti!! The house was beautiful, very spacious, full of light and extremely clean. There are many places to sit and many amenities like the pool, outside showers, hammocks and outside BBQ area. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you.

Masseria Luci is one of the homes that one might see on a travel website and think “oh I’d love to stay there”! Beautiful home, wonderful gardens, great pool and outdoor living areas. Marco was a responsive and generous host, and the place certainly lived up to expectations.

Wow! This house is beautiful, truly a piece of art to be admired. The house is perfect and unlike many Airbnb’s the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook properly. Andrano is a wonderful town, the people are so friendly and we loved the cafe around the corner and the fresh produce market right outside our door. A fabulous base to visit many beautiful towns and beaches and not swarming with tourists like other places we stayed in Italy. Would love to come back again! Our only advice to the owner- perhaps an owners manual with more info on local restaurants and things to do. We found some amazing places to visit, but always love local recommendations too.
