We had the best weekend staying at Laura’s place. I will definitely visit again. The home was clean and spotless. Laura was a very nice host!

Thank Derek, this is what the family needed. An intimate family getaway. We enjoyed playing the games, darts especially as well as some board games. We wanted to spend some family time together not surrounded by a lot of people. The neighbors that we saw were friendly and the neighborhood was quiet. We spent time at the neighborhood pool, and did some hiking. We would love to visit again!

House was as described, great family room. Kristen was very responsive. Quiet neighborhood. Great patio/backyard. Beds were comfy. The bunk room was downstairs so we opted to have our small kids share the room upstairs beside ours but overall a great experience and will come back when we’re in Hickory!

Nice escape from the city, very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the house was great! Ashley was prompt to respond and we felt right at home. The nearby shopping center was also super convenient for last minute needs.

Our family gets together every year for a family vacation. We chose this lake house for its location as well as the fact that it had so many things to keep us busy, regardless on how the weather turned out. We loved the kayaks and the fact that multiple were provided. The access to the lake was amazing so we could fish any time. The home is beautifully decorated, so much attention to detail. The home provides board games for your family, floats for the pool, speaker for music poolside, among many other things. We loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit overlooking the lake. The kids never complained about lack of things to do. We especially loved playing darts. It was such an amazing home that it got all of the kids off of electronics. We had an issue with the water and John was super responsive and fixed it right away. He was so responsive. The home is only minutes away from a large shopping center as well as a boat rental company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This rental is absolutely wonderful! The unique and creative decor, the fantastic pool/waterfall and the separate apartment made for a really fun time for our family. The welcoming gift of wine was nice surprise, the towels were fluffy and bed linens were crisp and clean. I highly recommend booking this property!

We loved this property! It’s in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood and everyone is super friendly. We played in the game room (a great new addition), swam in the heated pool, kayaked around the lake, made a campfire, played games in the spacious lawn, and relaxed with our kids. The beds and seating areas were comfortable and everything was clean. The hosts are quick to respond if you have any questions. There are a number of good restaurants, coffee shops and creameries nearby. There’s also a grocery store a few miles away that we visited a couple times for fresh fruits and pastries. If you’re considering this property- you won’t be disappointed. Between watching the lake’s heron named Harry, seeing all the turtles, frogs and wildlife… you’ll be totally relaxed. Great visit!!

My children and I were very grateful to have such a nice house with many comforts. Nathaniel courteously answered any questions. Both the interior and exterior were very pretty and tidy and kept in fine shape. We had a happy time there. Thanks, Nathaniel.

Great stay at Tyler’s place. Had 6 adults and 2 small children and there was plenty of space. Plenty of parking with access to a 2 car garage. We were there for a wedding at a nearby venue so this location worked well for us. House was clean and well stocked. Basement was fun for the young adults. Would stay here again if needed to be in the area and would recommend to others.

wow....what can we say about Annie's home on the range and Darlene. We were over from the UK for our sons graduation from LR. Darlene was amazing from the time we booked (a year in advance) until we left. She made sure we had everything we needed, she lent us her cool box, bought a new BBQ and brought us doughnuts on leaving! The house was spotless, comfortable and a wonderful place to stay. We loved the porch with swing too. Thank you Darlene & Kevin! If we're back in Hickory we will be staying again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

THIS is how you do an Airbnb! The house was perfect for our family of five as our base while we were in the area for a graduation. I wish we could have stayed longer. When your teenage boys comment (more than once) about how nice the house is, you have definitely found the right place. Ashley was a great host; I hope we can find our way back to the area again and visit our new alpaca friends.

Ashley and her husband were about the friendliest people I have ever met! Her place was beautiful, clean and had just what we needed plus she was a fellow motorcycle rider so we had something in common. Her place is on the top of my favorites list!😎

In from AZ to attend granddaughters HS graduation. Perfect location down on the farm. Private, quiet, restful place for family gathering. Plenty of room. Great for cooking our favorite meals. Hoping to visit again for future holidays.

Staying at this beautiful house on Lake Norman in Denver, NC, was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I booked the property to the day I checked out, the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable. The house itself was so stunning and well-maintained that it’s honestly difficult to put into words just how wonderful it was. Every corner of the property exuded comfort and care, making it a true retreat. The host deserves a special mention for their responsiveness; any question or concern I had was addressed promptly and thoroughly. Their clear communication and attentiveness made the entire process feel effortless, which is always a bonus when planning a getaway. The kayak was fun and relaxing. My wife had never been and she doesn't speak English. It turns out I don't speak Spanish when kayaks are about to tip over and I need to say "No te apoyes." Only downside: no nearby places to take an evening walk or grab some ice cream or souvenirs.

Lisa was a very responsive host and we appreciate that the property is dog friendly! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items for our stay and the bathrooms were pristine. It's a new home, so everything is spotless and comfortable. The host lives on site, but we barely heard them while we were staying there.

Will definitely return. House was immaculate. Nothing fancy, just perfect. Very welcoming. Great washer/dryer. Close to stores and good food. Saw lots of wildlife from deck. Randall responded immediately after I reached out with two questions. Would recommend to family and friends.

Loved staying here, it’s a cozy little spot right on the lake. Neighbors are so friendly, since there’s a shared dock, you do walk through the neighbors yard just a little to get on the dock. Loved waking up to the lake everyday. My son LOVED seeing fire flies and catching them. Only two things missing, the cushions for the outdoor patio furniture and bath mats to step on after a shower. The location is perfect, not far from Publix and general shopping needs. 10/10 would love to go back again :)

This beautiful home was perfect for our wedding guests for a busy wedding weekend. We loved sitting out on the spacious deck overlooking the water and visiting with everyone. Just a short distance from Chickadee Hill Farms if you’re looking for a good place for your out of town guests.

Egrets Escape was perfect for our short stay in Lake Norman. As with most lake areas, you’ll find that miles on a map equates to much longer times on the roads to get anywhere but this place was conveniently located not far from a Publix in an easily accessible area. While the place is small, it has everything you need, whimsically designed and was absolutely spotless!! It was beautiful to just sit outside by the lake. We took the canoe out briefly, caught a very small fish with the baby rod provided 😄 and cooked out on the blackstone. We really appreciated the little coffee bar upstairs. Highly recommend!

Very cozy home on the lake. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very cooperative but we enjoyed our time and the home. The inside of the home is very clean, spacious, and accommodating. The outside could have used a bit more cleaning, but it had been raining a lot and I’m sure that contributed to the dirt along the decks and outdoor furniture.
