Blue Bird Toucan Cabin

KarinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A Truly Magical Experience in Bacalar 🌿💙 This isn’t my first time staying here, and I absolutely love it. Bacalar is a beautiful little town officially recognized as a Pueblo Mágico—a designation given to places in Mexico that preserve their cultural richness, natural beauty, and charm. That also means you won’t find big resorts here, and honestly, that’s exactly how it should be. It’s all about preserving the lagoon and respecting the ecosystem. This place truly is magical, and absolutely worth the cost. Just renting a kayak elsewhere in Bacalar can cost around 600 pesos for a few hours—here, you get so much more. I’ve seen some reviews mention a lack of hot water or low water pressure... but seriously, what do you expect? You’re surrounded by nature! These cabins are thoughtfully designed to provide comfort while staying in harmony with the environment. And yes, there is hot water—plenty of it! The toilet works just fine, and the AC works too.

Room N4 near the lagoon + breakfast

HeatherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great! This is my 2nd time in Bacalar and I have stayed here at Casa Tlacuache’s both time. They have a delicious breakfast every morning, we’re in walking distance to the lagoon and many great restaurants. I highly recommend Casa Tlacuache to other guests looking for a place.

We had a great stay in Bacalar! There were three of us and the accommodation was perfect, very well equipped, nothing was missing. Everything was clean, comfortable, and as described. The host was very responsive and available when needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this listing!

Private Balcony + Pool + Access to Cenote Azul 1 Day

Excellent place to stay, quite spacious bedrooms, illuminated and clean; kitchen with utensil and necessities; bad point, only one bathroom, total capacity is for 6p so it is insufficient. Alberca with very enjoyable water, everything in optimal condition.

Naya Jungle Room with Private Pool & Deck

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
PROS Perfect location! Unbelievably beautiful! Greeted by clean pets (many cats and a dog named Naya of course!) Very clean, even in hidden spots. Staff was courteous and so very helpful! Naya reached out to offer us 2 free mezcalitas too! Tasty! Personal supply of fresh drinking water provided at arrival. Dessert too! The smell around the room was amazing! Super comfy bed—slept great! Spacious and plenty of room for 2.5 people. Accurate photos! Lots of steps to restaurant and lagoon-but so worth it-and it's easy steps at least! Clean, deep plunge pool. Outdoor shower was perfectly private. Lagoon was rocky-but so warm and pretty!! Plenty of parking in late April/early May. Very private overall. Road to Naya was bumpy, but very short! CONS No cons at all! What an amazing space! WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY STAY AGAIN! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! 😀 My boyfriend proposed on the beautiful lagoon side. Breakfast, drinks, and the experience will always have a place in my heart!

Casitas Nohiyari: Kutz 2

BrandanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay here. The architecture was stunning—minimalist, thoughtful, and well-executed. From the outdoor shower (which was private and part of the room design) to the clean, modern space. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made all the difference during the hot afternoons. The location is also very good. You can walk to the center of town, and if the heat is too much, a cab anywhere in Bacalar was about 50 pesos. It’s a great spot for couples, and anyone with an appreciation for design will be especially impressed—I wish I knew who the architect was so I could follow their work. A big thank you to Bernie and the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and made our stay smooth and pleasant from start to finish. Highly recommended!
