Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Havana

I stayed in Carlos' apartment in Havana and found it very welcoming, located in a delightful area of the city, perfect for immersing yourself in the local atmosphere. Although not a very recent construction, it is still well-functioning and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Recommended for those looking for an authentic and comfortable experience.

Amazing appartement! Calm place and the terrasse is great. I have nothing negative to say about this place. If you want to have a quiet and private place, this is certainly a good choice. 15 minutes away from the Capitol by walk! Every question I had was proactively answered!

The home was beautifully renovated and a very lovely place to rest after a busy day. Vedado is a wonderful neighborhood and the home is on a quiet street. There's plenty of sitting room and space for guests. When I return I will definitely stay here. Thank you!

My stay at Zunilda’s was great. I had nothing to complain about. The loft is beautiful! Just like the pictures. I love the views of Havana and how the terrace can be wide open. I loved that I had the option of fresh air or air conditioning. The restaurants I wanted to visit were not far away. And old Havana was about 8 mins away via taxi. She made my welcome so easy with accommodating a taxi for my arrival. Zunilda also provides a phone. Which was a life savor for my boyfriend and I. Zunilda’s sister, Malaena was amazing as well; she communicated with us, gave us pointers for food and helped us with exchanging money. She also accommodated for our taxi to leave. The two things I was worried about in Cuba was having a cell phone and exchanging money, and Zunilda and Malaena provided that for us, making that worry go away. Thank you so much for having us and we shall return.

Our stay at Luis' place was great! Luis and Sandra were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Anything that we needed they were able to provide for us, sometimes from their own apartment! Unfortunately two of my party got sick in the last few days of our trip. Luis was great about checking in with us and making sure our needs were met until they were feeling better. The space is clean and well kept. Things to be aware of: -This is not a touristic part of Havana, you live as the locals do -Power cuts are common and outside of the host's control -Spanish only, be comfortable with the language or have an offline translator We would definitely stay here again!

Amelia and Alfonso are lovely. She is a whirlwind of vitality. The house was very clean and comfortable and nice. Very modern inside and with air conditioning and fans so as not to be hot. Amelia recommended places to eat in the area and explained where the WiFi area was, very close to the house. The central station is also very close and also the Plaza de la Revolución. They adapted to our schedules without a problem and advised us about the neighborhood and at the time of taking the Viazul we had planned for the next day.

Margarita's house is one of the most beautiful homes I've stayed in. The pictures don't actually do it justice. The back yard is very large and lush, full of fruit trees and song birds. The pool was a great place to spend the afternoon. The home has everything you might need. Margarita was very quick to answer any questions that we had. Niurka and Nieve, the sisters who cook breakfast and clean up, are so wonderful. We are gluten free and our daughter is also vegetarian. They provided great breakfasts full of fruit, cheese and eggs any way you want them. They could not, obviously, provide gluten free bread. However, we brought our own pancake mix and they became experts very quickly. We also asked them to prepare us some meals, which were delicious. The cost is similar to what you'd pay in a restaurant, but we had so much that we had leftovers for the next evening (and then some). A great chance to have some tasty Cuban cuisine. The house is in a small neighbourhood right across from the fortifications. If you want to get over to the other side of the harbour, you'll need a taxi (about 10 cuc). It's very peaceful. I really can't say enough about this place!

Casablanca is like a home away from home. Very accommodating, relaxing and great service. My only suggestion would be to invest in a generator for when the power is cut off by the government, ensure that all your supplies are stocked(no ping pong balls) and provide a list of what you have stocked in the minibar upon check in. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone visiting Havana.

Due to heavy thunderstorms the WiFi went down on the first night, but you can’t control nature. I thought it was a blessing in disguise. We managed to enjoy the house so much more and each other’s company. The staff was amazing. The staff had coffee ready for us in the am before we could even request it. The pool is a very nice touch. The security guard at night helps give no second thoughts, even tho Havana is a very safe city. Would certainly go back. Enjoyed our entire stay!

Great location and a stunning house and garden. Ernesto and Adrian were very attentive to our needs and even helped me get groceries and brought over some camomile tea when my cousin had some cramps.

Very nice and service minded host. The house was according to the pictures. Big and nice Important to note that the location is not as it was indicated on the map in Airbnb where it seems like it very close to the old town. I think the address is correct in the ad, but it appears wrongly in the map on Airbnb

Pros: The house was beautiful and private. The photos were accurate and the main house is like a art museum. The pool was refreshing especially on the hot cuba days. Your room has AC!!! Cons: wifi was not the best and hindered communication throughout our stay but our host tried her best to communicate with us(we had bad weather and power outages not her fault),hard to find cabs because the area the house is located is small(we found a man we liked and we arranged transport with him everyday) ,not many options as far as food or activities near by. There is a restaurant next door that is very expensive and the food was not good. There is a small cafeteria across the street where you can get a reasonably priced burger and it was tasty. The gentleman was also very friendly. There is a third restaurant around the corner that is also pricey. And fyi main house does not have air conditioning. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Cuba was beautiful and our host was gracious.

Our stay was very pleasant and really facilitated by the help provided by Vlad and his family. They were very helpful and available to help us with whatever we needed, from internet access to the sightseeing we did. They gave us great tips for staying in Havana and ideas for tours we could do. The house environment was cleaned almost every day, with bed and bath linens always changed for new and clean ones. The decoration is charming and, despite the heat, inside the apartment it was very cool due to the ventilation and air conditioning. Certainly, our stay was one of the highlights of the trip.

Rolando was a very efficient and always attentive host, offering appropriate and satisfactory answers, his apartment is very well located in Habana Vieja, with many small shops and services around the building. The apartment is very well appointed and convenient. There are many accessories in the kitchen. The small terrace offers an interesting view of some of the Capital's monuments. Note the efficient air conditioning in the rooms. Very good choice for those who want the authenticity of Habana Vieja!

The apartment is on the 3rd floor in an apartment building with an elevator, a guard sits at the entrance at night, there is a camera on the ground floor, also a camera on the 3rd floor, Ariadne lives nearby, on the 2nd floor, so she is always ready to quickly come to the rescue. The apartment consists of a common living room and 2 private rooms with their own bathrooms. The rooms have beds, clothes hangers, safes, and bathrooms. In the living room, there is a refrigerator, as well as a working piano and a large table, as well as a coffee table. One of the disadvantages is that in one room in the bathroom there is simply no mirror (it is not clear how this is) and there was a problem with the water drain - the water simply did not drain, in the other room in the bathroom the exhaust is very noisy. And in general, there are problems with silence here - there are buildings nearby, where there are a lot of outdoor air conditioning units, so everything is noisy. The view from the windows is none, only at close range to the neighboring buildings, so you won't be able to take any photos of the view. Overall, everything is alright.

Jorge and Arianna were both gems — helpful, kind and enthusiastic. When we struggled to find the place because we didn’t have data, Jorge spoke to our cab driver and came to pick us up from nearby. My flight the morning of checkout was super early, he organised a taxi and also came and drank coffee with me at 6am. One of the highlights of my trip to Cuba.

The location and amenities of the house were great. Our host is very sweet and helpful, thank you for everything. It was definitely the most comfortable house we stayed in Havana. There is a very nice cafe in the corner where you can have breakfast and eat.

Great Airbnb and host. Do note that Old Havana is very loud - bring earplugs.
